Neither the Turbo or the Maxx have band 40, so unfortunately that's not possible.

would look like, hell I can`t get ATT to put me a HSPA+ 4g plan bastards
Holy ****! No way! Post APN and method you used to get this to work!!
Someone posted a guide several days ago for how to enable LTE. I'm on T-Mo, so no LTE for me. I'd like to see some speed tests if you don't mind. :good:
Do you have to also manually enable LTE?

I think they do, but it's not as widely deployed as the 700 MHz band

Yes I did.
Does HSPA not work with this, since I'm not getting anything, but I am indoors atm.

Shows band 13 in OP's screen cap.
EDIT: Nvm, that's not what the 13 refers to. I'm dumb

HSPA works fine on mine. It switches when LTE signal is gone.
Yeah I'm screwing something up maybe. I just typed the APN in, picked it, and enabled LTE in the phone's hidden settings or w/e. HMM

a small town outside of Oklahoma City.
AT&T does own some band 4 license and can in principle do LTE in band 4. Just that in most places they don't use band 4 for LTE, but all their LTE phones support it. It could be that they are using band 4 in some cities, but not in any major/big city as far as I know.

I don't think LTE:13 means band 13. I've seen, for example, HSDPA:9 and HSPAP:15 on my Galaxy Nexus, so I think it's some other scale.
The only North American LTE band that the N4 has the radio hardware for is Band IV, so it must be an AT&T Band IV deployment.
Not exactly impressive speeds or latency for being on LTE... I get as fast or faster on Tmobile HSPA+. Could it possibly be saying LTE but not really giving you the speed?
What were your speeds before switching the LTE on?

will the bell xperia z work on Telus LTE once unlocked

Hi guys,
If i buy a bell xperia z and unlock it, would the LTE work on telus?
Thanks for any help
It should - Bell and Telus actually share towers.

This is what shows for connectivity:
Network compatibility LTE
Maximum download speed Up to 75 Mbps
LTE compatibility AWS, 700 MHz
HSPA/UMTS compatibility 850/1900/1700/1900/2100 MHz
GPRS/EDGE compatibility 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
so i guess does Telus work on was, 700 mhz?
Ah. from another thread:
Bell and Telus share LTE eNodeBs on Band 4, but not on Band 7. In terms of coverage, it should be identical since Band 4 cells are at every site, while Band 7 cells are only co-located on some of the sites. If you are using a Band 4 LTE device, there will be absolutely no difference in coverage between Bell and Telus.

So, YMMV. Also, this thread should probably be in Q&A.

[Q] Verizon Bands 4 & 13

Has anyone had issues with their Nexus 6 not wanting to stay on the stronger band? Using LTE Discovery I'll reset the radio, it will connect to band 13 usually between -90 and -94dBm, then after a couple of minutes it will jump to band 4 and sit at -105 to -108dBm. Is the phone making the decision to jump to band 4, or does the tower make that decision? I currently have the phone set to the LTE only mode, would I be better off in the Global mode?
You can leave the phone in global mode, and LTE discovery shows I am connected to band 13, and stay connected.
From what I have read band 4 is AWS aka XLTE . AWS is capable of higher speeds so I'm curious why would you want to switch to the slower band?
Because the slower band has poor reception.
I leave mine in global as when I am at home I cannot get band 4 and signal at my house is not good however when I am at work i'm on band 4 all day.

Is it possible to edit the bands for carrier aggregation?

I understand that for XT1103, the CA bands are 2+13, 2+17, 4+5, 4+13, and 4+17; for XT1100 3+5 and 3+8.
However, my country telcos only support 3+7. Is it possible to edit the CA bands for 3+7? Or is this a hardware thing? I'm using XT1100

Maybe ask the OP of this thread. He figured out how to add LTE band 1 to the Nexus 6.

It certainly worked fine on the Nexus 5 (enabling band 3 and 8 on the North American version). And although I haven't read much on enabling bands on the Nexus 6, I don't image it'll be any less effective.

Okay Thanks for the info btw
Nexus 5 still had some hardware restrictions for some bands. Some were possible to enable, some were not. Will require more investigation on the 805

For sure. But band 1 has already been enabled on the North American version, and @Azlun seems to be working on band 8. He hasn't mentioned anything about band 7 in his thread, and I have no idea about the carrier aggregation stuff.

The R1 HD supports the following (according to GSMArena)
Technology - GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands - GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G bands - HSDPA 850 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
4G bands - LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 7(2600), 17(700)
Contact your Cellular provider in india, and see what bands they are operating on...

I don't see much past 2G use in your country at the moment
Here in central NC I am getting around 5 Mbps download and around 1 Mbps upload. This is just from my home, I haven't taken the phone anywhere else yet. I hope to get a couple of test from other areas around my town today.

Unfortunately no, its a hardware issue. Unless the radio could be modified. The only current band that is disabled but can be opened is band 12, but that is not going to help in your country. Sorry

The Indian LTE is on band 40 across providers. LTE band 3 is also auctioned by government nut service yet to be started on that. Its a hardware radio issue and not something that will get corrected with software OTA.
Its limited to 3g use. I too have the US amazon version and its not possible to use it on 4G.
