I've never cracked a phone. - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Q&A, Help & Troublesh

And here it is. My first cracked phone. Don't forget your case kids. My friend accidentally slapped it out of my hand and it hit the floor at an angle, then fell flat. I decided not to use a case on the turbo because I have always been careful with phones.

Image is not showing but I can imagine what it looks like. Sorry to hear that.

It shows up on my screen but I added just the link as well.

Wow that looks bad, covers the entire screen! Hopefully you have insurance...
If not have you tried looking for a replacement glass, does the digitizer still work.

Verizon offers one free replacement for a cracked screen on the Turbo. No insurance needed.

I'm getting the one time replacement and it arrives Tuesday/Wednesday. The screen still works but hard to see on the upper right corner. I don't get insurance because it's $11 a month, and I treat my phones well (and besides, I could always get a OPO or used LG G3 if the screen ever cracks again). I'll be sure to have a case always on my next Turbo.

OPO doesn't work on Verizon. It's GSM-only (Verizon is a CDMA network).

Wow. I've been reading about allot of dropped/broken screens on the Turbo recently.

Yikes!! That took a direct hit! That is why I purchased a Otter Box defender for mine. I have M.S. and my hands dont always work the greatest and this is reasons why I purchase cases. Glad that youll recieve your replacement soon.

If my friend did that, I would "accidentally" slap him across the face. With a meat cleaver.

These sell for like $0.01 on ebay (seriously)
Haven't tried them personally but I've been told that they supposedly work pretty well. I personally wouldn't stick my phone above my stove though.
Here's the idea

Never tried these, but I use something called PuGoo http://www.udsproducts.com I love it & it works well!
If we are thinking of sticking the Note II to the wall, wouldnt VESA mounts be a better solution

Please share your findings, because the cheapest one i could find was:

Here it's less expensive than yours but much more than 0.01$ http://cgi.ebay.fr/Car-Anti-Slip-Pad-Mat-Camera-GPS-MP3-Phone-For-HTC-Nokia-Samsung-LG-iPhone-4-4S-/110931201286?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d403cd06

I bought one from this seller (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-Car-Gri...047?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35c1c8637f) for $0.09 but they only ship to the US
The buy it now listings on ebay go for more than a dollar but the auction ones sell for very low ie. $0.09
I've been using this for more then a year in my car. Every month or so, i'll take it out and wash it with soup as it does attract dust and dirt. Works like it should. Got it for around US$1 only.

I own this one, Grippy, and its pretty awesome. I can actually stick my phone to the wall and leave it. I actually have it on the lid of my laptop holding stuff there. Nothing ever moves from it unless I want it to.
okay, got mine from ebay in the mail today... for $0.09... not bad

active display notifications issue w/pic

I've noticed a few different times now when I pick up my Moto X and the screen activates to show the time/notifications that they are cut off, like there's some sort of hard edge cutting off part of the numbers in the time display. Anyone else noticed this? It doesn't do it when I wake the screen with the power button, only with the active display thing like it's not waking all the pixels it's supposed to or something, it's getting really annoying.

and another for good measure:
This is my second Moto X, the first had debris inside the camera lens. I've still got a week on Best Buy's 14 day return policy, hopefully 3rd times a charm. Really love the phone.
I am having the same issue with my phone. I searched around and this is the first mention of the problem that I have found.
Are your moto x made in the U.S. ? I've seen people in this forum saying that the ones sold outside US are made in China and have a better build quality.
BTW... I think the tattooist made a small 'typo' on the second Chinese letter on your arm.....
Don't have an answer for your problem but I do have a question. What kind of case kid that and does it have a built in screen protector? How do you like it? Not super bulky.

The case is a Trident Kraken AMS and yes it has a built in screen protector. It definitely adds some bulk to the phone, but I'm a metal fabricator and have to protect it from welding, metal flakes, grease, dust etc. Part of the reason I went with the Moto over the g2 is size because I knew I needed a heavy duty case, can't beat Trident. They have 5 cases for the moto x right now.
Lol about my tattoo, I'm aware of the "typo." First one I got when I was 18, haven't had the heart to fix/cover it. 13 years and that's the first time someone has called me on it.
And mine is a USA moto. Going to exchange it one more time today and see what happens.
I am facing the same problem.. Any luck in solving it?

Wow. Necro-thread. To answer your question, I had my phone replaced. Nothing I tried fixed the issue. Haven't had any problems with this one 18ish months.

Tech 21 D30

this is the one from the t-mobile store.
it's a _beast_ of a case. slim as all hell, but can take a major impact.
you can spike it like a football. youtube search d30 if you have any doubts.

$35 normally, there is always a 30% coupon on foursquare or google.
Good find, just placed an order on tmobiles website and got 30% off using the coupon code ACCOFFER18
It doesn't add much bulk? Really thinking about carrying her naked to show off her curves. lol I know it's risky. hehe
I checked the case out at a T-Mobile store and liked it. I asked if I could get 30% off and the rep said yes. I was going to get it but you can't see the curve as much. Lol. Might get a full body skin or just carry it naked.
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
I think carrying it naked will be ok, unless you do a big time drop on jagged concrete...or, a full body skin, which is what I will probably do, so you can see the great curves!
anyone find a glass screen protector yet?
I've been looking at this one, its not glass, but as close as I have seen so far..

[Q] Should I get the wood back?

I had the 2013 Moto X and loved it. With Verizon orders up tomorrow morning, I'll surely be ordering one. What do owners of the older wooden models have to say? Does the wood hold up with time? Should I go with it or just stick with the plastic?
Too late. I just pulled the plug. Will take pics when I get it in.

What did you end up going with? I've been toying with the idea of a bamboo back or going all white. Not sure if it's worth the extra money for the back since I'll have it in a case anyway if I get one.

I got the Walnut. I don't use cases, so it was a pretty easy decision for me.
I got the bamboo and I like it, only time will tell if it stands up though
Same here. Got the bamboo back. Its great.
I used a wood back on my 2013 Moto X and it held up well. I never saw any scratches or anything, and there was no separation of the back from the phone. I was pleased with it. I'm not particularly rough on my phones, but not overly gentle either. I did use a leather slipcase for the phone though.
I ended up going black/black/gold (to match my Moto 360). I was going to get the wood back, but I wanted the white front if I did that. And I didn't want to pay more money and have to wait longer.
For those of you that did get it and want to show it off while keeping it protected, are you going to go the body/invisible shield route? I had a Zagg on my OG Droid, and it held up amazingly well. It took a dive out of my car at 50mph, and the screen stayed flawless and it still functioned perfectly fine (even with road rash and a bent frame).

I'm considering it for the X, as I don't really want to add bulk, and I want to be able to show off the phone.

My Orzly OnePlus 3 £25 Goodie Bag

Hi guys,
I have my shiny new phone at last! Feels like such a big upgrade from my old OnePlus One (well maybe bar the screen)
So here is what £24.45 brought me from Amazon (the price of an official OnePlus cover)
I have posted a few things about the FlexiCase already but you can ask me about anything...
My first impressions are that it is all presented very well giving it a premium feel for such a great price. I feel everything you get is a really awesome deal and just wanted to let you guys know.
Here is a pic of my package:

Orzly FlexiCase
Orzly Ring stand
Orzly 5 in 1 screen protector pack
Orzly Multifunctional Wallet case
I have my final exam on Monday so bear with me. I will update as much as I can as soon as I can, but please feel free to ask me any questions
Hope you are all enjoying or are as excited about your OP3 as I am...
I have got a case from OnePlus and Cruzerlite on its way so hopefully I can give feedback on those too.
Having put on the screen protectors, I would definitely recommend them over OP as a short term solution. Fits more of the screen!
Here are some great uses of the the ring! Use it to hold the OP3 if you have smaller hands, using it as a stand on tables and even wall mounting...
How do these ring stands secure to the phone again?

OK I have been looking at these. Too cheap to spend the 8 bux to just check it out, but, does the ring get in the way a lot when you don't want to use it. In other words, does it fold down nicely and stay or keep flapping around. I am thinking this may be a good thing for me to use because I use my phone with another BT device at the same time (getting into lockboxes) and have dropped phones more than once fumbling around.
