I had the 2013 Moto X and loved it. With Verizon orders up tomorrow morning, I'll surely be ordering one. What do owners of the older wooden models have to say? Does the wood hold up with time? Should I go with it or just stick with the plastic?
Too late. I just pulled the plug. Will take pics when I get it in.

What did you end up going with? I've been toying with the idea of a bamboo back or going all white. Not sure if it's worth the extra money for the back since I'll have it in a case anyway if I get one.

I got the Walnut. I don't use cases, so it was a pretty easy decision for me.
I got the bamboo and I like it, only time will tell if it stands up though
Same here. Got the bamboo back. Its great.
I used a wood back on my 2013 Moto X and it held up well. I never saw any scratches or anything, and there was no separation of the back from the phone. I was pleased with it. I'm not particularly rough on my phones, but not overly gentle either. I did use a leather slipcase for the phone though.
I ended up going black/black/gold (to match my Moto 360). I was going to get the wood back, but I wanted the white front if I did that. And I didn't want to pay more money and have to wait longer.
For those of you that did get it and want to show it off while keeping it protected, are you going to go the body/invisible shield route? I had a Zagg on my OG Droid, and it held up amazingly well. It took a dive out of my car at 50mph, and the screen stayed flawless and it still functioned perfectly fine (even with road rash and a bent frame).

I'm considering it for the X, as I don't really want to add bulk, and I want to be able to show off the phone.

Hi, Anybody got any experience with these things b4 I buy?
I see on their web site http://www.over-board.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=30_43&products_id=43 that this bit of kit would fit a TyTnII.
But paying £434 for the device I am a tad twitchy re a £14.99 bag protecting it even though the supplier/manufacturer say it is up to the job?
Any advice welcome.....
My brother-in-law has another brand of this type of case and it works well.

Thanks chaps.
ChumleyEx are you avin a laugh?
Ziploc food bags? )))) lol
Don't laugh, when I go to a water park, pool, or any place my phone might get wet, I put mine in a zip loc. The "snack" size ones work perfect.
Heres an idea from you guys!!!
Buy one , call Guiness Book of records, Be the first to send a text message from your phone from underwater!!
Too late already done it, did'nt get in
I used an AquaPac with my previous phone. Unfortunately my Tilt won't fit in the bag, or at least not WELL. It's just slightly too tacky and large to fit and once it goes in it's hell getting it back out.
But they do make larger ones, even very large ones. They're great if you know there is a good chance of the phone getting dunked or wet from rain, etc.. I always used mine when geocaching around water or in the rain. So far I've just avoided the situations with the Tilt, but I'd like to get a larger AquaPac sometime.
Yeah, ordered it now.
I want to use it when in the hotel spa, pool etc. Still not too sure how the touch screen will work whilst in but will give it a go
Thanks folks
I use the Cochlan's waterproof bags You get three different sizes in a pack and work great. I use it if I go to the beach.
This is what i use and it works great.
Have now got the case.
I must say it looks very think plastic but I see that it is a good design, but think I will still twitch when using it!!!
Also got it now.
Did a test with it and it works.
Even tested it with my Tytn2
Got one of these recently and it's really nice for the price. Fits well and seems well made. Magnetic clasp and cutouts for the cameras etc. Currently £13.95 at mobilefun.co.uk.

I nearly bought one of these myself Paul but instead went for the Samsung Executive Case....... and I'm not happy with it.
Like the case you kindly mention I don't like the leather surrounding the glass surface. Much prefer the case where you 'click' the Tab into place rather than slide it in.
Any idea's which would be a good case?
I've only used the one above and (for a short while) the official Samsung case. Not the executive one though. It was the sleeve variant. I really didn't like it. Very hard to get the device in and out of as it was so tight. I'm happy with the one I got, though may try a TPU style cover at some point.

Yes I have the same issue with the Samsung Executive case, it's a right pain inserting and taking out of the case.
That looks very like the red one I recently got
http://www.londonmagicstore.co.uk/L...llet+Leather+Case+for+Samsung+Galaxy+Tab.html
Good case, but it does have tendency to let the tab slip out of the top if held upside down (while taking out of a bag, for example)

Hi Jon (hey we're neighbours ). That does look very like mine, apart from the colour. I've not had the problem with it slipping, it's a snug fit. Unlike the official case, which was a strangulated fit .
I see we also share the same taste in where you purchased it too.
I obtained my Samsung Executive case from LondonMagicStore.
Excellent service from them, have purchased quite a few items in the past and have their Black Gel Case Cover Stand on order as well.
Picked this up today at my local Chapters store for $20. I just needed something for when travelling and don't have time to wait for an eBay or Amazon order to cross the border before my next trip.
It's not bad, fits in easily enough (thanks HUGE N7 bezel, you actually came in handy!). It also has a nice feel (different than most PU), and all the ports/buttons are usable while in the cover (though watch the top right strap, it can hit the power button).
Flap folds flat on the back if you want to use it in the case, and the N7 goes in and out of it quickly which is cool with me as this is just to protect it while in a bag, when actually using the N7 it'll come out of the case.
This is the NY Times model that comes in several different styles (I picked the most bland), and there are even nicer ones available if you want to drop more coin but at that point you're better off getting something actually made for the N7.

Nice pick up!
I saw something similar on Amazon from Marware for the Kindle. Also priced at $20.
See this case would be perfect for my wife if they didn't use elastic bands to hold it in, why is it so hard to find something like this that is just a little more industrial (has clips rather than bands)....ugh, the search continues, however this is pretty cheap and my wife might be willing to go with it, would be nice if it was a little smaller to fit the n7, just that much better, but beggars can't be choosers right?
And here it is. My first cracked phone. Don't forget your case kids. My friend accidentally slapped it out of my hand and it hit the floor at an angle, then fell flat. I decided not to use a case on the turbo because I have always been careful with phones.

Image is not showing but I can imagine what it looks like. Sorry to hear that.
It shows up on my screen but I added just the link as well.
Wow that looks bad, covers the entire screen! Hopefully you have insurance...
If not have you tried looking for a replacement glass, does the digitizer still work.
Verizon offers one free replacement for a cracked screen on the Turbo. No insurance needed.

I'm getting the one time replacement and it arrives Tuesday/Wednesday. The screen still works but hard to see on the upper right corner. I don't get insurance because it's $11 a month, and I treat my phones well (and besides, I could always get a OPO or used LG G3 if the screen ever cracks again). I'll be sure to have a case always on my next Turbo.

OPO doesn't work on Verizon. It's GSM-only (Verizon is a CDMA network).
Wow. I've been reading about allot of dropped/broken screens on the Turbo recently.
Yikes!! That took a direct hit! That is why I purchased a Otter Box defender for mine. I have M.S. and my hands dont always work the greatest and this is reasons why I purchase cases. Glad that youll recieve your replacement soon.
If my friend did that, I would "accidentally" slap him across the face. With a meat cleaver.
Hi guys,
I have my shiny new phone at last! Feels like such a big upgrade from my old OnePlus One (well maybe bar the screen)
So here is what £24.45 brought me from Amazon (the price of an official OnePlus cover)
I have posted a few things about the FlexiCase already but you can ask me about anything...
My first impressions are that it is all presented very well giving it a premium feel for such a great price. I feel everything you get is a really awesome deal and just wanted to let you guys know.
Here is a pic of my package:

Orzly FlexiCase
Orzly Ring stand
Orzly 5 in 1 screen protector pack
Orzly Multifunctional Wallet case
I have my final exam on Monday so bear with me. I will update as much as I can as soon as I can, but please feel free to ask me any questions
Hope you are all enjoying or are as excited about your OP3 as I am...
I have got a case from OnePlus and Cruzerlite on its way so hopefully I can give feedback on those too.
Having put on the screen protectors, I would definitely recommend them over OP as a short term solution. Fits more of the screen!
Here are some great uses of the the ring! Use it to hold the OP3 if you have smaller hands, using it as a stand on tables and even wall mounting...
How do these ring stands secure to the phone again?

OK I have been looking at these. Too cheap to spend the 8 bux to just check it out, but, does the ring get in the way a lot when you don't want to use it. In other words, does it fold down nicely and stay or keep flapping around. I am thinking this may be a good thing for me to use because I use my phone with another BT device at the same time (getting into lockboxes) and have dropped phones more than once fumbling around.
