Hi, Anybody got any experience with these things b4 I buy?
I see on their web site http://www.over-board.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=30_43&products_id=43 that this bit of kit would fit a TyTnII.
But paying £434 for the device I am a tad twitchy re a £14.99 bag protecting it even though the supplier/manufacturer say it is up to the job?
Any advice welcome.....
My brother-in-law has another brand of this type of case and it works well.

ChumleyEx are you avin a laugh?
Ziploc food bags? )))) lol
Don't laugh, when I go to a water park, pool, or any place my phone might get wet, I put mine in a zip loc. The "snack" size ones work perfect.
Heres an idea from you guys!!!
Buy one , call Guiness Book of records, Be the first to send a text message from your phone from underwater!!
Too late already done it, did'nt get in
I used an AquaPac with my previous phone. Unfortunately my Tilt won't fit in the bag, or at least not WELL. It's just slightly too tacky and large to fit and once it goes in it's hell getting it back out.
But they do make larger ones, even very large ones. They're great if you know there is a good chance of the phone getting dunked or wet from rain, etc.. I always used mine when geocaching around water or in the rain. So far I've just avoided the situations with the Tilt, but I'd like to get a larger AquaPac sometime.
Yeah, ordered it now.
I want to use it when in the hotel spa, pool etc. Still not too sure how the touch screen will work whilst in but will give it a go
Thanks folks
I use the Cochlan's waterproof bags You get three different sizes in a pack and work great. I use it if I go to the beach.
This is what i use and it works great.
Have now got the case.
I must say it looks very think plastic but I see that it is a good design, but think I will still twitch when using it!!!
Also got it now.
Did a test with it and it works.
Even tested it with my Tytn2

I managed to break my antenna and now I don't know if I'm missing pieces of it; There is a clear plastic body with a fixed bronze stud and a plastic cap. Is that It? I don't have the phone activated currently so I don't know if the reception will be affected. Does anybody know where to get a replacement?
I drive a Motorcycle to commute to work everyday, and I got one of those GPS holders so I drive around with my device in it to have the MP3 playing, anyway I didn't put it correctly and suddenly @ about 30 MPH I stopped hearing music; My PDA was 150 yards behind.
Anybody know how to post pic's if I don't have a server?
Pictures...
If you send me the pictures, I'll put them online and stick 'em in your message.
You were damn lucky to have only the antenna damaged...
I sent the pictures to your e-mail, Unfortunately not only the antenna got damaged, the aftermarket leather cover that I bought (Krusell) has the edges exposed so that area got scratched also, there's even a crack on top of the earbud connector, but that's minor.
So anybody know where to buy the antenna and covers replacement ?
Am I missing parts for the antenna assembly?
Thanks for your help.
Great forum.

Yes, it looks like there's stuff missing.
Actually, I ended up breaking my antenna by pulling my XDA out of my pocket so many times by the antenna. Eventually, it just popped off.
Inside is a small spring that apparently acts as an antenna. Once that popped out and got lost, I was unable to recieve any signal from my XDA. I called T-Mobile and RMA'd the phone. My new one works just fine, and I've been careful to go easy on the antenna.
I had the same and found that a cut down spring from a pen (the one that goes arround the ink thing does a good job at replaceing the antenna coil.
Haveing said that I retuned my device as was given a replacement as well

Definitely trying this when I get home

I just use a business card holder. Sits nicely on my desk and matches my other business card holder actually holding business cards.

Same here (but g19). Kind of defeats part of the purpose of this keyboard but oh well.
To my surprise, I've gotten used to snuggling up with my Nexus 7 instead of a book to wind down at night. Currently in middle of Season Three (I think) of Northern Exposure. It works quite well to defuse stress.
My problem is that I need something to prop up the tablet. I've tried to prop it on some cushions with other cushions or a book to hold it in place, but it slips down constantly. I have an easel-style stand, and one of the Poetic cases that sort of folds into a stand (but doesn't stay put), but what I really need is a pillow. I even went to try the one being hawked on TV at the moment (the "GoGo Pillow"), and the design would work, but it's too big for the 7" Nexus and not adjustable. I've seen some similar designs, some of which clearly won't accommodate a 7" tablet but others that look like they'd work.
The most promising looks to be the Lap Pro on Amazon, but I'd love to hear a personal recommendation if anyone's tried one of these or a similar product.
Does anyone have a solution that works for this very first-world problem? Next up, why does Whole Foods leave the feta in the salad bar in such big unmanageable chunks?
Wasn't entirely sure how you have your tablet from what I read.
Do you prefer to watch it while lying down? On your side? On your stomach?
Or do you sit while you doze off? Personally I have this case (rooCASE Multi-Angle) which would be helpful if you have it laying next to you on your side. In addition, I love it when you are working on a desk, as it gives you that angled look without having to hold it up. Not only that, it's pretty thick, and I carry various stuff like the crazy college kid I am, but know the tablet can take a beating and a good dropping while in my book bag.
I know it's out of stock but there are many cases like it. I think you can find a very similar one made by poetic.
Hope this helps out. :fingers-crossed:
I found this on google, I thought it might be interesting!

Something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal...let_Mounts_Stands_Holders&hash=item2587de5534
I have a couple of these, one at work and one at home, fits the N7 perfectly and the angle is completely adjustable.
This is useful
Thanks for sharing this / Thought it is a simple search in google / It made me to understand what a Pillow Talk is

I had the 2013 Moto X and loved it. With Verizon orders up tomorrow morning, I'll surely be ordering one. What do owners of the older wooden models have to say? Does the wood hold up with time? Should I go with it or just stick with the plastic?
Too late. I just pulled the plug. Will take pics when I get it in.

What did you end up going with? I've been toying with the idea of a bamboo back or going all white. Not sure if it's worth the extra money for the back since I'll have it in a case anyway if I get one.

I got the Walnut. I don't use cases, so it was a pretty easy decision for me.
I got the bamboo and I like it, only time will tell if it stands up though
Same here. Got the bamboo back. Its great.
I used a wood back on my 2013 Moto X and it held up well. I never saw any scratches or anything, and there was no separation of the back from the phone. I was pleased with it. I'm not particularly rough on my phones, but not overly gentle either. I did use a leather slipcase for the phone though.
I ended up going black/black/gold (to match my Moto 360). I was going to get the wood back, but I wanted the white front if I did that. And I didn't want to pay more money and have to wait longer.
For those of you that did get it and want to show it off while keeping it protected, are you going to go the body/invisible shield route? I had a Zagg on my OG Droid, and it held up amazingly well. It took a dive out of my car at 50mph, and the screen stayed flawless and it still functioned perfectly fine (even with road rash and a bent frame).

I'm considering it for the X, as I don't really want to add bulk, and I want to be able to show off the phone.
I didnt want to say the brand of skin in title, cause i feel like im advertising the company or something.
Ill attach a screenshot of the image I was going to use, it shows the company im thinking of using, i know nothing about it, they could be utter trash skins.
Anyone used this before? how was the outcome?
thanks.

hmm, im actually going to crop that pic more, looks like a freakin ad dude. honestly how do you even talk about stuff on here without sounding like a shill
ok there, i covered half the company name, and this thread was asking people if theyve used it before, so if they have that should be enough.
I've used this company's product before and it's a good product for what it is. With that said, I took mine off after a few days because I couldn't stand the slight feeling of stickness around the edges. I don't think that's really preventable, so it's not a knock on quality, it's just a nature of having a wrap. I also noticed pocket lint and the occasional hair getting stuck in the glue at the edges. For me it just seemed janky so I went back to a normal case.

cool, thanks. and yea, im not getting this for protection - seeing as it provides absolutely none. But, maybe there is a way to buff the edges after application to dull the glueiness, who knows. either way i will see how it is.
