In need of xt1060 dev 4.4.4 sbf - Moto X Q&A

So here is what happened...
my phone was running krypton 1.4.1 (4.4.4) rom. i decided to try a cm12 rom. the cm12 rom was bootlooping so i decided to go back and restore a nandroid. however my phone was encrypted on the 4.4.4 rom and when i went back into twrp and it asked for my password before the nandroid, it said wrong password. i was basically locked out and couldnt nandroid restore.
i then did some readying to try to push the rom adb but that wouldnt work. so i did a user erasedata to get rid of the encryption (it worked). so then i tried multiple different things for adb and fastboot to try to fix it. my device would not show up in adb so i tried to reinstall drivers. they installed but my phone will still not show in adb.
at this point it just bootloops at the twrp screen or i can just have it sit at bootloader....
does anyone have the xt1060 4.4.4 sbf? all the links do not have it anymore.
thanks

oh ok this is what i downloaded from them. i didnt see an sbf file in it though. is the whole package considered the sbf?

I think this is only OTA, but it's the only thing I could find..
http://motofirmware.center/files/file/151-vzw-xt1060-444-kxa2112-l126-cfc-1ffxmlzip/
I'm sure someone has a copy of the SBF that they had downloaded somewhere.

Also refer here: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php?/topic/61124-House-of-Moto-[4.1]
Use the link to the zip file and the above link to restore your device

Those might be FXZ, but this one appears to have FXZ files too, which should be flashable with RSD Lite: http://www.drdevs.com/devs/FXZ-files/XT1060 (Moto X VZW)/

the problem i have is adb wont detect my device. i think it was because when i flashed cm12 i was not able to boot it up and select debugging even tho i have the drivers installed

thanks i got it downloaded. rsd lite wont detect my device though. either will adb.

@sruel3216 Isn't the flashing done through fastboot? Mabually Power off device and the hold power button and volume down for 4 seconds then release both! Connect device while in fast boot to pc.
Once is fast boot and successfully connected to pc with drivers installed and device recognized then start flashing with rsd

thats whats not working. it wont recognize there is a device through fastboot or adb. it was working today and then once i tried to restore back through twrp it would not let me becuase i needed my password since my phone is encypted. i entered my password and twrp said it was wrong. so people told me to do a user erasedata through adb. it got rid of the encryption but now my phone just bootloops at twrp screen and adb or fastboot or rsd lite cannot see my device...

If Fastboot and RSDLite wont see your phone, you can not flash an SBF.
If your phone boots to TWRP, it should be capable of booting to fastboot mode. Under the REBOOT option in TWRP is BOOTLOADER. What happens when you try it?
Or... can you power your phone off? (if it doesn't respond to normal attempts to power off, press and hold the power button until it does.) Then without any cable connected to your phone, press/hold the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
If you can get your phone to the AP Fastboot (aka Bootloader) screen, then visit -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/MotoX-ReturnToStock.html and use option 5 (skipping step 2,3 and 4, since you've done them if you can see the Fastboot screen)
And to revisit an earlier part of this thread....
SBF, FXZ, Recovery Image, today all mean pretty much the same thing. What Moto has as "Recovery images" at -> https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images are just that. They are the FULL ROM Images used to fully flash a phone. Call them SBF, FXZ or Recovery, its the same thing.
In the past, Moto did include an XML in the Recovery Image ZIP file for the 1St Gen Moto X that could be used with RSDLite to flash. With the 4.4.4 Recovery Images, Moto instead included only a BAT file to flash via mFast boot, and does NOT include an XML. If you want to flash via RSDLite, you either need to make your own XML, borrow the one included in the 4.4.2 image, or download the SBF from another source that had created the XML and included it.

All i can get to is bootloader. however adb and fastboot will not detect my phone is plugged in even when i power off and hold down volume + power.
I cant really get to twrp. all it does is bootloop at the twrp splash screen
I have all drivers, sdk, etc installed on my comp and it worked earlier that day. once i went back from 5.0 rom to 4.4.4 rom, the encryption i had on my phone got all messed up and it got screwed up from there

If you got the unlock code from Moto and used it to unlock your bootloader, then no. You will not need to unlock again. Once the bootloader is unlocked, it will stay unlocked unless YOU relock it (fastboot oem lock), even then, if you have the code from Moto, you could unlock again if you needed to.
If you used a tool like Sunshine to unlock the boootloader, my understanding is that the bootloader will also stay unlocked. However, if you relock it, you wont be able to unlock it again.

Helo! MotoX might be bricked.

Got this phone today with my new carrier.
Ran the pwnmymoto apk.
I made the mistake of downloading the latest update because it didn't seem like it actually rooted my phone(No root).
Spent a good amount of time trying all different aspects of things after encountering the reboot loop.
Flashed one of the Rogers(I'm with Fido) firmwares.
"no valid piv block in sp for system"
RSDlite won't detec the device to try again.
It's MotoX xt1058
What can I do? This whole firmware thing is complicated and I just want to restore to stock and never ever touch rooting with this phone again.

Does fastboot recognize your phone? First thing is forget slapmymoto , you can unlock your bootloader and flash twrp recovery. Second issue rsdlite will only flash your existing carrier firmware with a locked bootloader, flash other sbf firmware requires a unlocked boot loader. Third item is to stop the bootloops try clearing the cache, fastboot erase cache

Flashboot says USB Connected. I assume that's a yes. My computer does as well but only as "motorola phone" likely because I have no real stuff on the phone now. Oh and the computer makes the little "boop" noise of removing a device.
What are the next steps I have to take to fix things? Thanks for the quick response btw!

OK , put your phone into fastboot mode by holding down the power button and volume down button for 3 seconds and let go( must he done while phone is completely off) plug your phone in and open a fastboot screen ( I assume you have SDK) right click and hold shift while in SDK platform tools. Type fastboot erase cache

I installed the SDK and followed a guide to allow me to use fastboot and other platform tools, but when using "adb devices" I don't have any entries, and when I did the command you mentioned It sticks at "waiting for device."
Seems my phone isn't actually seen by the adb tools.
Follow what flashallthetime is suggesting.
btw, Rogers firmware is correct for your phone as there is no Fido specific firmware.

Getting somewhere...
The command prompt can seemingly now interface with my device. It runs commands but clearing the cache didn't fix the problem. I've ran the command though so if there is a next step...
EDIT: Okay it's charing and I can interface with it via cmd. I can now use RTDlite with it as it's battery is charging. Should I flash the other Rogers now? I have my unlock code for the bootloader if that's what I've got to do first.
Yes, reflash it with rsdlite, this is the version you want - Blur_Version.139.12.36.ghost_row.RCI.en.CA

Last thing would be flashing twrp. Does someone have a link to the proper files?
Now after your up and running, please don't accept any ota if you are rooted, we expect the Rogers kitkat ota soon. If you accept the kitkat ota while rooted and with a custom recovery you will end up in endless bootloops.

I certainly won't be accepting ota updates while rooted anymore. Like I said I didn't think that it had actually modified anything with my system, otherwise I wouldn't have accepted the ota update.
Where can I find the twrp for moto x 4.2.2? Do I flash through rtdlite as normal?

[Q] Verizon Developers Edition help

Hoping somebody can help me figure out what is going on with my phone. Sorry for the long post, but hoping folks with custom rom and flashing experience will read on to help.
I have the Verizon Developer Edition. I have unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP 2.7, and rooted the phone. I have never installed any custom ROMs on the phone. I had done custom ROMs on my GS3, but I just wanted this phone rooted, and maybe mess around with a few ROMs down the road.
I followed this video from RootJunky when I originally installed TWRP.
So a few weeks ago I kept getting the OTA message to upgrade to the latest kitkat. I decided to flash back to the original recovery so I could do the upgrade. I contacted RootJunky on his youtube channel and he provided a link to the stock recovery and I flashed it using the same video and his linked file.
After flashing the stock recovery, when I was in bootloader mode, I scrolled down to "recovery" and selected it. It would not go into recovery. It just stays in a bootloop. I went back and forth with RootJunky a few times trying to resolve this, but I got no response to my last few comments.
I can get the phone back into bootloader mode by holding the volume up/dwn and power buttons, if I time it correctly during the bootloop. When in bootloader mode, I can select "Normal Powerup" option and the phone will boot up and function properly. But, if I shut the phone down, I can't turn the device on with the power button, otherwise it will just bootloop. I have to get into bootloader mode, then select "Normal Powerup" to get the phone to work.
Once back in the phone, my USB debugging option is unchecked. I can recheck it, open a command prompt, and do a "adb devices" and it shows it connected. But if I do a "adb reboot bootloader" from the command prompt it will bootloop.
When I get into bootloader mode manually, when I connect it to the computer, and do a "adb devices", it doesn't show as connected, as I think the USB debugging option is getting toggled off somehow, so I can't connect or flash anything to the phone at this point.
One thing I see, in the video @ 4:50, he says you need to be at "status code 1" to flash recoveries. I am/was at status code 3. Not sure if that is why I am having this issue, or how to get this changed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can use the phone just fine, but at this point, I would just like to be able to do a full restore to stock, upgrade to 4.4.4, keep the unlocked bootloader, and root the phone. No custom ROM.
THANKS!

First, Status code 3 is normal - that indicates an unlocked bootloader.
You should be able to use the 4.4.4 FXZ to flash back to 100% stock. Afterwards, you can flash TWRP, and re-root. Use the latest TWRP from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/ghost
The important thing about TWRP is that immediately after flashing it, you have to "fastboot reboot-bootloader" and immediately boot into recovery - otherwise it doesn't 'stick'. We don't know why, but as long as you do it that way, you will be fine.
Here is the link for the 4.4.4 FXZ: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/fxz-moto-x-4-4-4-212-55-26-t2827307
If you follow the instructions, you will be on stock, rooted 4.4.4 in less than 20 minutes.
Good Luck, and let me know if you need additional assistance :good:
Also, please remember to post your questions to Q&A - not General. Don't worry as I have already requested that the Mods move it to the appropriate sub-forum.
EDIT: The problem I see with "rootjunky"s video is that first, he advises that "Status code 1" is required to flash recovery -- this is incorrect. Status code 3 works fine for custom recovery.
Additionally, he did not "fastboot reboot-bootloader" before booting into recovery. This is necessary. I'm not sure why he left that step out....likely he already had custom recovery flashed when he made the video.
Thanks for the quick response. Sorry about posting in the wrong section. I should have known better.....
I will look at this, but probably won't do it until after work tomorrow. I will post back tomorrow, hopefully with success.
Thanks!
I saw your edit to your post. I did the reboot boot loader step when I originally flashed twrp. I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember reading it and doing it.
The phone was running fine with twrp installed for a few months. The problem I am having now happened after flashing the stock recovery back onto the phone.
Do you recommend the RSD Flasher or House of Moto method to flash this FXZ?

Either will work fine. If you don't care about keeping your data, you can use RSD Lite (will wipe everything). If you use one of the tools in the thread I linked you to, make absolutely sure you follow the instructions -- you can't have any spaces in any folder-names. If you use RSD Lite, you just select the zip file and flash (no worries about directory structure).
Ok, I just assumed those were the methods to flash it. I will look into the RSD Lite method, as if don't mind wiping the data.
I just watched a quick video on YouTube about using RSD Lite, and they state you must reboot the boot loader and do the flash in fastboot. I can't reboot into the bootloader from the command prompt, as it goes into the boot loop. I can get into fastboot manually, but when connecting to the computer it doesn't recognize it since the USB debugging option keeps getting reset on me.
Am I missing something? I don't see how I can flash this.

So you are telling me that when you type "adb reboot bootloader" (if usb debugging is enabled) or "fastboot reboot-bootloader" (if usb debugging is not enabled) it doesn't take you to the "AP Fastboot Mode" screen?

Sorry, the "adb reboot bootloader" sends me into the bootloop.
I hadn't tried the "fastboot reboot bootloader" or "fastboot reboot-bootloader". Now when I try that, with USB debugging checked I just get "<waiting for device>" It does nothing.
What about turning off the device. Then holding power button and volume down at the same time. Does it take you to the bootloader screen like it should?
It sounds to me like when you were attempting you flash your stock recovery back, you flashed it to the wrong partition. I've seen another member do this....
He accidentally typed "fastboot flash bootloader stockrecoveryfile.img"
That would cause the issues you are describing... I might have a way to fix it if you are currently still rooted and able to access adb...

Yes, I can manually get into bootloader, but it keeps toggling my USB debugging option, so when I connect it to the computer, it doesn't see it.

USB debugging isn't used in the bootloader, and adb isn't used for fastboot mode... I'm very confused by what you are saying...
Once you are in the boot loader screen does "fastboot devices" recognize your device?

I can get into fastboot with the phone powered off, holding the volume UP/DWN and PWR. But when connected to the computer it isn't recognized.
Sorry, but I am confused as well. I am just going off what I have seen in RootJunky's videos. In this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LkuLb8hV6Q#t=285 at 4:44, after he does the "adb reboot bootloader" he says the device is now in "bootloader mode" which is what I am talking about, but I guess is actually Fastboot Mode. This is the same mode I am talking about getting into from the device powered off holding the volume UP/DWN and PWR buttons, but going in this way doesn't get recognized by the computer.

YES it does! Thanks. I kept trying "adb devices", and when it wasn't recognizing it, I figured it wasn't connected. I wasn't doing "fastboot devices". But, my USB debugging still was getting unchecked after getting back into the phone.
So with it recognizing my device in fastboot mode I should be able to go ahead with the RSD Lite flashing?

Sorry, but I am confused as well. I am just going off what I have seen in RootJunky's videos. In this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LkuLb8hV6Q#t=285 at 4:44, after he does the "adb reboot bootloader" he says the device is now in "bootloader mode" which is what I am talking about, but I guess is actually Fastboot Mode. This is the same mode I am talking about getting into from the device powered off holding the volume UP/DWN and PWR buttons, but going in this way doesn't get recognized by the computer.

OK, glad you didn't flash to bootloader. That is tricky to fix...but I've dealt with people who have done it before.
Try another PC...or re-install the drivers. Also, DO NOT use a usb 3.0 port, always use 2.0.
Bootloader = AP fastboot mode. They are one and the same. Try to get it recognized with "fastboot devices", on any PC. If you can get to that point, you can flash back to stock and recover everything. The FXZ can actually FIX a corrupted or damaged filesystem. It replaces all the relevant partitions.
Remember you do NOT use adb or usb debugging. They have nothing to do with fastboot.

YES!!!!
It seems you were confusing adb and fastboot. As long as "fastboot devices" recognizes your device, SO WILL RSD LITE!!!
Now follow my initial instrucitons, and you will be up and running in no time...
Thanks guys! I am going to do this tomorrow, but I feel pretty good that it is going to work.
Yes, I got VERY confused, and definitely need to go study up some more. I thought I had it, but obviously not.
Will report back tomorrow.
Happy to help
Absolutely get the Dev Edition for the same price. While Safestrap is out for other Galaxy devices with locked bootloaders (not sure if the S5 got SS yet) it allows customs Roms....but not kernel changes. With a Dev edition, there may be less development, but I'm sure there will still be some development out there.

Took OTA with custom recovery

Hi all, I did a dumb thing and I took the recent Verizon OTA on my dev ed moto x with a custom recovery installed (TWRP).
Now my phone seems to always stop booting at recovery, then if i hit 'reboot system' from recovery, I can get into my system for about 2-3 minutes, and then it reboots to recovery again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
boot your phone into fastboot/bootloader mode, then flash stock Recovery on your phone and reboot normally.

Thanks KidJoe - I'm reading through your post on xda right now to see how you flash back to the stock recovery and I'm currently downloading the stock image from one of your links.
While I'm waiting, I'm going over my options for how to actually flash the stock recovery - your post said that i should try Rashr - however my device probably won't stay 'on' long enough for me to get through that process. After it boots into the system (e.g. I see my launcher and apps), it wants to restart since I guess it's trying to the upgrade. So I'm thinking of instead using adb to flash the recovery.img file. Is that the right path to take?
Also - would it be okay to use adb to flash the recovery.img using TWRP's adb sideload feature? I seem to be able to connect using adb that way, but for some reason 'adb devices' doesn't list anything under fastboot.

First, if you can't boot your phone into Android, you can't use Rashr.
Next... ADB needs you to be up in Android, and have the "USB Debugging" options checked. Also, it can not be used to flash the components of the SBF/ROM like recovery.img.
Fastboot mode works with Fastboot.exe or mFastboot.exe... ADB commands do not work when the phone is in fastboot mode.
Here is what you want to do AFTER you have the stock reocvery.img you want to flash... (this is pretty much exactly what you did to flash TWRP on there in the first place, except you will be flashing a stock recovery.img instead)
have the latest Moto drivers installed. You can get them from -> https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481
Make sure you have the Android SDK/Platform Tools installed (don't know how, see -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/ADB.htm )
You need the latest version of Moto's fastboot, and it needs to be put in your windows Path (there are steps on -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/ADB.htm )
Once you have that... do the following...
Unplug phone
Power down phone.
Hold Volume Down and Power
After a few seconds release Power, you should be in fastboot menu on phone.
Connect to PC.
open command prompt file and change to the folder you have your recovery.img you want to flash
type the following, pressing enter after each command, and wait for it to finish before going onto the next...
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot reboot-bootloader
The device will display different BOOT OPTIONS
Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL to Recovery and VOL UP Key to select
The device will display the Motorola logo and then the Android in distress (logo with Exclamation mark)
Press and hold the VOL UP key for 10-15 seconds. While still holding the VOL UP key tap and release the POWER key
You should enter STOCK recovery.
use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll and the POWER Key to select reboot.
The phone should reboot and and be ready for the update
I did the same thing and was able to undo it by clearing the cache. Now I'm back to where I was before, with the constant notification to update.
Wondering what the correct way to go about updating is..

Thanks! I'm back up and running!
Sorry for the confusion on the adb vs fastboot stuff - I always mix those kinds of things up since I do it once ages ago to get myself into this mess, then I forget how I did it and what tools I used.
So basically what I did was use fastboot like you said and first booted into fastboot, then did a 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' from a stock recovery.
After a full reboot, android ended up giving me a 'update was unsuccessful' which I am totally 100% okay with. I ended pushing 'update' the first time really because I was tired of getting nagged - this time i just said 'don't install' and hopefully it won't bother me agian.
Thanks again!

I'm sure KidJoe will respond, but I found this thread of his very useful:

I was able to flash back to stock recovery and take the 212.166.3 build KXA21.12-L1.26-3 (which is still 4.4.4) OTA that Verizon is pushing out.
I didn't even have to disable Xposed or anything else. Then again, other than Xposed, root and twrp, I'm running stock. No tethering hacks, build.prop changes, no system files removed or renamed, etc.

Yup., Clearing cache will delete the OTA ZIP file that was downloaded. So the next time you reboot, it wont try to install, instead you'll be back to being notified that an update is available asking you if you want to download it.
But yup, those instructions I just typed should work...
This OTA seems so minimal in changes, any suggestions/recommendations if I should take it at all?
I'm also pretty much stock now as well - only root, xposed installed.

The release notes on VZW's page only seems to mention bug fixes.. no real details.
So far I haven't noticed any changes.
It will likely be a required step to get to lollipop. So either take it now, or wait and take it later, just before you upgrade to Lolliop

TELUS Moto X (XT1097) doesn't boot after last OTA. Help!

Hey guys,
I have rooted my Moto X 2014 (XT1097) with Chainfire auto root method about 6 months ago and I decided to accept the OTA update I got today from TELUS (22.121.11.en.CA). If I remember correctly I was on 5.0.1 before accepting this OTA.
Now the phone is stuck in the custom boot logo screen that I installed after rooting and even if I try to shut it down, it just boots up and gets stuck in the logo screen.
What should I do? I can access the bootup screen by holding power and volume down.

Let me reply myself so that maybe others can use this info to fix their devices as well.
Step 1: You need to install the ADB platform tools (should be plenty of threads about that)
Step 2: You need to find a system.img and a boot.img to match your needs. I have a XT1097 with TELUS in Canada, so I have found this thread and downloaded the big .zip file (big thanks to Steve-x!). For US people the graffixnyc site has images for XT1095 that you can use. Move those .img files where your fastboot.exe file is found
Step 3: Boot your device in bootloader mode (hold power and volume down) and connect it to your PC
Step 4: Install the images with the fastboot command by typing this in a cmd window
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img

Or in the case of the TELUS image, the system image is split into 7 files ... just flash system them one after the other. Steve mentioned something about the recovery.img, but wasn't sure how to flash that so I did it this way.
Step 5: (Optional) If you had something else installed you will get some errors, here's how to fix them. Boot back in the bootloader and choose Recovery, then when you see the screen with the "sick" Android, keep Power pressed and tap on Vol Up to enter Recovery Menu. Choose to delete data and delete cache. Reboot.
If you used Steve's image you should be booting into TELUS Android 5.0.1, just before the cursed update. You can even do now the 5.0.1+ update OTA. You're back in stock ROMs world
Glad you got it fired up again. I haven't taken the OTA yet myself with my Moto X's, was hoping to get the entire image with Motorola Device Manager.
Le sigh
Man i'm having nothing but issues. I've done everything that i was supposed to do, but i cant get the files to load.

Help! My Motorola RAZR I XT890 cannot be "unbricked" and I tried several methods...
Hello!
I unlocked the bootloader successfully, then I tried to root my phone using The Razr guy method and I used the "RAZRi_Root_Windows" file, while rooting my phone went to the "warning bootloader unlocked" screen and it just loops forever from that screen, the bat file, showed that it successfully rooted my phone. I tried to fix it using rsd lite, but it never detects my phone, so I searched for a way to make my pc able to detect it, so I found I could use Intel xFSTK, installed it but still nothing it doesn't appear as shown in the tutorial, I even downloaded the dll file that it needed to run, but after running the xFSTK DLDR or something like that, the application is completely empty, and I saw it should show some tools to download something. Also tried using Linux Zorin, but it only says that my XT890 cannot be accessed and shows an usb error code.
I am able to enter the fastboot screen, the one you get by pressing POWER and VOLUME DOWN, also it charges my batter completely normal. Also my pc is able to show that the XT890 is connected, but only before installing the drivers and it shows the CD installer for the Motorola Device Manager and some other files (all this while looping), and if I enter the fastboot flash mode, it appears as "fastboot smi S", with a yellow triangle and an exclamation sign while in Windows device manager. It has Jelly Bean update from telcel (mexico), and I already have the xml.zip file to reinstall it.
I use windows 8.1 , and as mentioned Linux Zorin on my PC.
Could some help me with it...if you now how to fix it please list every single step on how to do it T_T, THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!
It looks like the root method changed something bad in your system partition and that's why it won't boot up. First thing to do is installing the correct Motorola drivers. When in fastboot the device should be normally listed and could be acceded by fastboot. If fastboot is working well, use rsd lite to recover it or flash the system partition manually.
If everything is working well, consider installing a custom recovery and flashing a SuperSU zip for root access.

Thanks for answering!!
I've checked on some websites that if the phone is not detected by RSD Lite it maybe due to a bug in the phone's driver that happens only on windows 8/8.1, so I will try to do the same thing on windows 7 and see what happens...
Hope it works...T_T

That could be it.
I just noticed u have unlocked your bootloader. That means u have used fastboot earlier to get the unlock code into the device. So the drivers should work perfectly if u are in the good device modes. Try to flash the system_signed image manually though fastboot and see what happens ("fastboot flash system <path-to-system_signed-image>", u may need mFastboot for that(is inside the rsd-lite package))
Just for the record if u didn't know:
Adb: works only in selected recovery's and normal boot(sometimes in charging mode as well)
Fastboot: works only in AP fastboot mode (power+vol-down, black screen with white/blue text (rsd-lite needs this mode))
XFSTK: works only in medfield flash modues, something u don't need to be with that kind of error
Thanks again!!!

I am able to enter RECOVERY MODE NOW (I installed CWM, before this I was only able to see the android lying on the floor ans saty dead right there, I was supposed to press Volume + and - and the camera button at the same time, but nothing happened), it seems to be easier to unbrick it this way, but now the problem is that after I follow the steps to reinstall the original ROM, it aborts installation. I read this may be caused due to a file on the zip file, I looked for it, but nor the Folder META-INF, whic is supposed to contain a "update-script" file, nor that file is anywhere in the ROM folder...
I've even tried cyanogenmod (after first trying Telcel original ROM and then the retail GB ROM) cuz it actually contains the folder previously mentioned and the file is in a different path, but it is there, I modified it, but got a "Can't open tmd/update.zip (bad) Installation aborted" error...I don't know what else to do T_T...
Note: I also used sideload and CWM to install it, but the same thing happens. Also checked some other post about this issue, but none has helped me...
What zip file are u installing?
If u want to go back to stock, just use a RSD lite package for 4.1.2 or install TWRP and restore a TWRP backup to go to 4.4.2. There is no official RSD lite package for 4.4.2 and the update.zip doesn't work if your system doesn't boot already.

It's done! Thanks!
I actually used another computer with windows 10, also I used RSD Lite and it worked just fine, now I have the stock ROM from Telcel and it it is working almost normal. The only abnormality I've seen is that my phone turns itself off when battery is at 20%, I searched info about that problem and it says I may re calibrate the battery, so it may work fine again, but now I need to root again to be able to do that T_T, hope it works this time...
THANKS! again!
