Galaxy S3 Mini Root Issues. - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So finally I got rid of my old HTC Bravo (which I'll keep as a treasure).
Now the problem that I have is that I got a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini i8190L, which for what I have read is not rootable (please correct me if I'm wrong, I hope I am), so I start to check on different options for this matter and found a way to install an Android 4.1.2 Pre-Rooted ROM which allowed me to also install the TWRP 2.7 recovery. The once I had that installed I went over the CM 12.0 with the Gapps for it and got both flashed on my phone, I mean there is no complaint, it works amazingly great! and Lollipop is something completely awesome (even do looks like a Nexus), but My main problem is that I'd like to have root access and when I installed the Pre-rooted ROM had no problem, however when flashed the CM 12.0 realized that is not rooted and therefore SU does not work.
My question will be, is there any way to Root the S3 mini now that is on CM 12.0 (No Root), or is there any CM 12.0 ROM which comes Pre-rooted for S3 mini?

Root is disabled by default in CM12. To enable root, go to settings > about phone and tap many times on build number (you will see a toast message that you are a developer now). Then go back and you will see the developers options

Hey thanks a lot indeed I was able to find that option after like hours of going around the phone what is really interesting is that I passed over the optionke thounsand times and never noticed! hahahahahaha But you're right from the setting os the ROM you can activate the root mode.

[Q] Google play conn problem on •ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.6 and cyanogen mod11

Hello all.
I have updated my samsung galaxy ace GT-S5830 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat with CyanogenMod 11 ROM.
I have had several problems but they all seem to have sorted themselfs out apart from a few glitches as follows
im using cooperfix v6.0.4.5 recovery and i have •Android 4.4.2 CyanogenMod 11 ROM for Galaxy Ace installed on card. I am unable to revert to CM7.2_JellyBreadv1_GT-S5830 using cooperfix v6.0.4.5 recovery as it aborts the instalation with a red triangle in the belly of the android bot and text.all the links i used to do it originly are dead links hotfile and another dead link. The only zip file it will install is the CM11 one.
Factory reset takes me back to cyanagemod boot screen and then the set up screen so its defaulting to CM11 and then in set up screen its imposible to set up gmail account and google play e.t.c. All the cooperfix files on here for older versions are dead links because of some federal law?
Wifi is perfect and connected straight away and the browser app works perfect connecting to the internet everytime.
so how can i get google play back again and working so i can install app and use it and if not possible to resync to google play how could i revert back to an older version. I really do prefer these custom roms but im struggling. Any help will always be appreciated and will always involve a thank you from me.

Nice one thank you I have reverted back to gingerbread 2.3.6 via flashing cooper v1 and the md5 file in ODIN and its worked fine im running original stock rom with no problems. I have rerooted the phoneand installed CWM 5 recovery and looking into more stable custom roms as 11 is still in early stages.
Some of the problems i had were no camera/ no google play store / no connection / random bootloops/ alarm didnt switch off, and this really random one that the phone would ring but there was no way of answering it lol An exellent rom with brilliant potential and one i will use again but for now im experimenting with earlier versions that are more stable.
many thanks

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 Xposed Framework problems

I have searched a lot on the web and xda but cannot find any solutions. As far as I know I have correctly installed the Xposed framework using TWRP but when rebooting I get stuck on the Samsung logo screen and have to recover to fix. I have tried various versions of the framework and always get the same issue.
Android version - 5.0.2
Installed ROM (stock or custom ROM) - Stock ROM (Would install custom if it helps but cant decide which one yet)
Names of the file you tried to flash - I tried 3 - xposed-v67-sdk21-arm.zip, xposed-v72-sdk21-arm.zip, xposed-v86-sdk21-arm.zip
Error messages - none, but gets stuck at the samsung logo on boot
I really wanted to install the custom ROM Acheron, but dont think its compatible with my device so if anyone can recommend a good custom ROM I am all ears

Not sure I'd blindly follow a mega-upload...but maybe I'm paranoid. @DJRenegade88 I know you say you searched the web, but it sounds like you're trying to use the official xPosed. There's a huge red sign stating that if you try that on Samsung you will boot loop. For Android 5'0.x you need arter's xPosed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3113463
If you update to 5.1 or 6 you'll need to get the Wanam version instead (I'd link, but don't wish to confuse you as you have 5.0.x (sdk21)

yea I was trying the official and I have seen that red text about samsung bootloops lol, dunno how I missed that the first time, thanks for the clarification. Is there a specific version I should download? I see he lists a few, I am guessing the most recent (xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon.zip) is the correct one?
The number "75" "86" etc is the version number so everything you typed is correct 21 arter arm but you want whatever is the highest, with one caveat: if there is an 86 a few modules will not work (in short they will be forbidden from running by xPosed for bad coding); I'm guessing quite a few of the 5'0'x specific modules may get caught by this. If you find a module you can't live without that doesn't work (and gives a very specific, noticeable error in the xPosed log) you might want to stick with 85
Doesn't work
It took 5 minutes to boot and now it's optimizing all my apps. I don't think it works.

Since you are using stock Samsung ROM. Official xposed doesn't work properly with stock Samsung.
You don't need an external SD card to flash, just custom recovery, though something like flashfire might work. It worked to flash xposed on my LG tablet

i have a custom recovery and its working good, i just need to go buy an sd card which im about to go do, and im also confused on what you mean by samsung ROM, you mean i have a jailbroken phone but i need to actually download a custom rom like ( CyanogenMod 13.0 ) to alow the xposed firmware to run properly ? and also confused because what you linked me to is for lollipop i thought my phone was running off marshmellow hence (6.0.1), perhaps you could clarify im very new to this, thanks for the response though!
(ALSO FORGOT TO ASK) will downloading cyanogenmod 13.0 on a phone that is already rooted ruin the phone? or is it not a jailbreak its just modifications, etc?

What I linked you was the thread for a special build of Xposed for stock Samsung devices, it has Xposed for Marshmallow as well as Lollipop, you need to read through the thread.

Modifying phones like putting custom ROMs and recoveries will void your warranty, but usually won't ruin them in most cases, but there is always the potential.
I'm going to put this out there, and please don't get offended. I would advise you not pursue this further until you do some more reading and learning, as you yet have grasped fully what you are doing. Since you don't have someone who knows what they are doing right there with you. And troubleshooting via a forum can be difficult to do since it isn't real time.
1. Android phones are not jailbroken, they are rooted.
2. ROM refers to the version/setup of Android for a device.
3. I said you didn't need an external SD card. Though, it does make it easier if you have one to do things like backup your ROM before you do any modifications like this, so if it goes south you can restore it to it's current state.
You can PM me more about this if you like instead of cluttering the thread.
I had to manually go to my applications and check storage permissions for xposed installer, although i deleted smart manager with titanium backup so could be why it wasnf automatically asked at installation.

[Q] Galaxy S4 gt-i9506: re-root after instaliing Cyanogenmod 13

Hi everyone! I've recently installed cyanogenmod 13 on my i9506. Before the installation i rooted my phone using CF-auto-root (i used odin). After rooting the phone i installed cyanogenmod 13 (arter97 version) which is a great rom btw. Then i booted up the phone and realised there's no root on it. I've already tried many ways to fix it (including enabling root access) but i couldn't. And that's where my question begins; is there a way to re-root the i9506 with a cyanogenmod 13?

[ROM] Cm 14.1 unofficial problems...

I flashed the twrp recovery through lenovo note manager 3.1 and install the cm 14.1 ROM (unofficial)
But problems starts coming up: After I install CM 14, install root checker and it said my devices is not rooted!
Also the system don't detect my SIM card although I have put in already...., It kind of bothered me cuz I need mobile network much, is there any solution to this???
Also CM waste a lot of battery.....
When will the official CM 14 come up? I am really looking forward to that since it may solve the problem.
And can any tell me why my devices isn't root , I thought there is a built-in root….......
