I flashed the twrp recovery through lenovo note manager 3.1 and install the cm 14.1 ROM (unofficial)
But problems starts coming up: After I install CM 14, install root checker and it said my devices is not rooted!
Also the system don't detect my SIM card although I have put in already...., It kind of bothered me cuz I need mobile network much, is there any solution to this???
Also CM waste a lot of battery.....
When will the official CM 14 come up? I am really looking forward to that since it may solve the problem.
And can any tell me why my devices isn't root , I thought there is a built-in root….......

So finally I got rid of my old HTC Bravo (which I'll keep as a treasure).
Now the problem that I have is that I got a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini i8190L, which for what I have read is not rootable (please correct me if I'm wrong, I hope I am), so I start to check on different options for this matter and found a way to install an Android 4.1.2 Pre-Rooted ROM which allowed me to also install the TWRP 2.7 recovery. The once I had that installed I went over the CM 12.0 with the Gapps for it and got both flashed on my phone, I mean there is no complaint, it works amazingly great! and Lollipop is something completely awesome (even do looks like a Nexus), but My main problem is that I'd like to have root access and when I installed the Pre-rooted ROM had no problem, however when flashed the CM 12.0 realized that is not rooted and therefore SU does not work.
My question will be, is there any way to Root the S3 mini now that is on CM 12.0 (No Root), or is there any CM 12.0 ROM which comes Pre-rooted for S3 mini?

Root is disabled by default in CM12. To enable root, go to settings > about phone and tap many times on build number (you will see a toast message that you are a developer now). Then go back and you will see the developers options
Hey thanks a lot indeed I was able to find that option after like hours of going around the phone what is really interesting is that I passed over the optionke thounsand times and never noticed! hahahahahaha But you're right from the setting os the ROM you can activate the root mode.
Dear All,
I used to have a CM12 version install on my Nexus 6 (at least I believe so). Today I decided to update to the latest CM13 snapshot. To do so I first updated TMRP to the latest version because the one installed on the phone could not deal with the 6x6 pattern to unlock the sdcard. I then installed the CM build. Now I cannot unlock the phone. The pattern I am entering is correct.
I found a cm12 build but that does not support the 6x6 pattern.
As well I used the latest cm13 nightly build and snapshot from March, but thei all claim "Wrong Pattern".
Further info:
1. Phone is not in debug mode.
2. adb sideload possible, but when I try to open a shell it says 'error: closed'
Would be great if I can get some support on this.
Ok, a little update from my end.
I had a good think of when I bought the phone which was end of 2015. By that time 12.1 was already out. So I searched for a 12.1 build and found cm-12.1-20150910-UNOFFICIAL-shamu.zip
First 'sudo adb sideload /tmp/cm-12.1-20150910-UNOFFICIAL-shamu.zip' failed and even the 2nd did not fully complete. But now I could unlock the phone. It hangs afterwards. Therefore I do the whole thing with an OTG. But before that ... backup all the photos and videos of the kids. Good memories!! Very relieved!
Apparently you dirty flashed CM 13 over the Unofficial 12.1, you can't do that. Back up everything and do a clean flash.
Yep what he said. You always clean install whenever you do a major upgrade. That will save you a lot of headaches

Hi everyone! I've recently installed cyanogenmod 13 on my i9506. Before the installation i rooted my phone using CF-auto-root (i used odin). After rooting the phone i installed cyanogenmod 13 (arter97 version) which is a great rom btw. Then i booted up the phone and realised there's no root on it. I've already tried many ways to fix it (including enabling root access) but i couldn't. And that's where my question begins; is there a way to re-root the i9506 with a cyanogenmod 13?
Does anyone have the CM 12.1 Backup as I am not able to download it from the Download section of the cyanogen Mod site (It shows an Internal Server Error) ?
CM is dead as their site, now they reborn as Lineage OS.
If you really need lollipop CM you need to find the someone who downloaded before shut down, I remember I read someone on reddit do it at the time (end December)
hi guys,
I flashed cyanogenmod for my mom's amazon fire (ford 2015 version) many years ago, and sadly even after reformatting its just not snappy anymore and a tad buggy.
I'm thinking of upgrading to the May 2020 unofficial Lineage OS 5.1.1. Back then, I remember just using FlashFire or smth without a custom recovery to flash cyanogenmod. Is there any way to upgrade to Lineage OS now given that bootloader is still locked and I can't flash twrp?
Thanks in advance all!
