Hi,
please how to get settings option in some apps that don´t have settings button? On my Samsung Siii there is standard Option button that allows me to acces settings and options in all apps. But Z3C has only - Back button, Home Button and Last apps button and I haven´t found standard way how to acces settings as default by Sony.
Some apps like ie "Silent timer" don´t have their own settings button and I´m not able to turn off notification etc.
anyone could advice?

Hi. My power button starts to cause problems and sometimes I have to torment to bring up the menu (profiles, screenshot, reboot). Is there any way to create a shortcut to the menu? Eg "1Tap Quick Bar" app creates a shortcut, but only to reboot (even without the choice standard/CWM). I searched all activities of system apps but found nothing. As a last resort can I map the camera button as power one?
Just go to market and type "Shutdown Menu". It has everything you need.
OK thanks, but it solves my request partially. I need whole power menu with screenshot and profiles
Is their an option on the N4 to show the menu options on the screen? I know i can drag the menu icon to my home screen. but im looking for a quick way to access the menu settings.
Holding down the left "recents app" button down should bring up the respective menu on whatever screen you are currently on.
Hi Everyone,
I am using HTC One (M7) unrooted that was recently upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0.2 and I started noticing a black button with three white dots appearing on my screen when I enter certain apps. Tapping it would just toggle the settings menu in the app. Double tapping it wouldn't do anything. Press hold would enable me to move the button to anywhere I like on the screen.
I have no use for it since I have it set up from my Settings that I would open the settings menu by long pressing my Home button. Does anyone also know of this, and if so, how do I remove it? I attached a screen shot for your reference (look at top right corner). Thanks in advance!
I'm interested in finding a solution to this too. No luck in the default.xml, at least for search terms "overflow" and "menu". MaximusHD 52.0, 5.0.2
Confirming this is really annoying & I'd like to know if there is a way to get rid of it?
Hi, I've got the same with galaxy s6 edge and android 5.0.2
It seems that only apps without direct implementation of the android three dots menu have this problem.
Could somebody help please ?
floating button
Same here. Irritating whilst using Mobo Player
The only way you are gonna get rid of it is to hide it in the app itself. With less and less phone with buttons the more you will see this.
Solution
I found myself frustrated at this myself today.
The solution is to go to Settings > Display > Buttons > Home and change "press and hold" from Google Now to Menu.
That removes the button from all apps, and you can just hold the home button to access the menu for those apps that need it.
Hi. Has anyone needed to access the configuration settings for Any App? Can you please help me to know what combination of keys to press so I can access the Applications configuration menu? (I was a user of Samsung Galaxy Active S4 before, so the physical button on the left down corner used to allow me to display the Apps settings but I don't see any way to do it in Blu Vivo XL).
As an example, I have bought the App "TouchDown for Smart Phones" from Google Play. After installation I was able to configure it but once installed, I don't see any menu or button for SEttings/configuration. In the Galaxy I used to press the physical button and it displayed the configuration settings screen. How Do I access this menu in BLU VIVO XL Lollipop?
Any comment would help. Thank you in advance.

The settings can be found by swiping up from the bottom and clicking on the settings button to the right of display option. In settings, go to advanced settings and the apps menu will be there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5xP2d9Qrjc
I just recently flashed the CM13 and I found out the recent apps has to be accessed using the home button! I prefer the original lollipop button layout so I went searching around and found the 'Button' option in the settings and I was able to customise the home button, power button and the volume rocker but there was no option to customise the menu key to use it to access the recent apps!
I searched the settings for Menu and it showed up there but when I tap it, it goes back to the 'Button' options but it doesn't appear anywhere in there.
What do I do?
Same here, its frustrating. Do you have solved your problem?
