Ok so I just updated my Sprint HTC One to Android 5.0 Lolipop and about 24 hours later my bottom speaker is not working at all. I have not dropped the phone and I have not seen/heard signs that my speaker is fixing to blown. I am wondering if this is a hardware or software issue. I am waiting for a response from HTC about this. Any help will be very appreciated.
i'm having the same issue, except i'm on an ATT htc one with ARHD 90.0 ROM. Have you found a fix?

try this, if this doesnt fix it then I dont know, huess you'll have to wait to hear back from HTC, please post their answer, but they are not going to cover a custom rom at all: http://www.htc.com/uk/support/content.aspx?id=7652
It doesn't have anything to do with the browser, and i don't have, let alone use, Chrome (for me at least)
Same here, I did not notice it till now, I have been playing with different roms, and also Zero infinity and intense blast...I will try to troubleshoot and share results here.

Hi all
As I decided to sell the Incredible S I wondering is there any solution to gain S-ON, as I would like to revert it to 'standard' before selling.
I used revolutionary to get S-OFF.

since u used revolutionary s-off.. flash a signed htc ruu. that should revert it back to s-on.
Why do you decide to sell the incredible s? What device will you be using next? Just curious....
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
At the moment I have Desire and Incredible S. What is annoying me is the signal strength on Incredible S - cellular signal going down quite large when you grab phone, as the antenna is stupidly fitted at the bottom of the back cover. It can reduce signal strenght by 50% (for example from 54% to 23% just because i keep phone in my hand) which is unacceptable for me. Desire has not such an issue (compared with two phones side by side for long time and in different places, same network operator).
I notified many times, when I take Incredible S from my pocket there was no signal at all :/ which is never happened with Desire. This is why I decided to sell it...
Wifi signal is poorer on incredible S as well. This is not what I expected from the phone what cost over 300 quid.
I been thinking about Sensation, but as find out already there is even bigger issue - unresponsive screen and same problem with signal... I know no one phone is perfect, BUT phone what can't keep signal is just useless... Same about iphone4 - rubbish.
I don't know what I gonna buy next, as I don't like how the UI of Samsung Galaxy 2 looks like and there is no choice at the moment actually.. So I probably stay longer with Desire, which is great (s-off, rooted with MIUI), except camera quality...
tpbklake, thanks, I found it, miss it when I was looking for solution yestarday... For anyone who may look for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15732727&postcount=14 It works.

It won't work, I checked that before I asked. Look into link above link, there is an explanation why hboot from RUU will not overwrite the one patched by revolution. That's why I needed to follow that solution.
Ok, fair enough... I also still have a Desire. Running insertcoin's rom on it right now. I do not really suffer from the bad reception of the Incredible S. It is less, but still sufficient. The only phone that matches these two HTC's is the Nexus S. I will wait for the next Nexus. Sure I will get that and will also keep the two HTC's.
I was able to S-ON the Incredible S with the RUU avaible here... Strange you can't. I just ran it and the device is all Stock again. I use the Desire for flashing and the Incredible S for daily stable use with the stock firmware..

Hey guys,
I have my One since release day, or so. I did S-OFF and rooted it. I was really happy with the speaker volume level. But since a month or two, I noticed that they were WAY weaker. First, I didn't cared about it. I told myself, HTC will fix it, I guess. Well my guess was wrong. I work at Virgin Mobile, so I tried a stock one to compare the volume of both. I'd say mine is at LEAST 50% weaker than the stock one. I don't know if it's related to my firmware flashing or the kernel or/and ROM. I did flash to the latest firmware, wich is 3.62.401.1. Currently, I'm on ARHD 31.5, but I'm trying Insertcoin and RENOVATE (if Insercoin is ot working either).
Any ideas what happened? Maybe my speakers blowned up^

Is the stock phone you tried out at Virgin Mobile running 4.1.2?
Last I remember, HTC lowered the max volume threshold on the front speakers in the 4.2.2/4.3 updates to avoid causing any hardware damage from excessively loud volume. You can try using the soundmod PureXAudio (comes as an optional add-on in ARHD) to see if that increases quality/volume.

I have experienced this same thing, I don't think PureXAudio really makes a difference in overall loudness.
Our demo runs Jellybean 4.3. My boss's phone is on 4.3 too and sound louder than mine, maybe between mine and the demo one. I did tried PureXAudio, wich I think is a pretty darn good mod. Didn't worked. I wonder if I could flash 4.1.2 sounds drivers without making my phone going into a endless bootloop. I did try some mods, but I always ended with this damn bootloop.
Faced a problem with HTC One 64gb dev \ ViperOne 4.1\4.2\4.3.0 rom
Im using Motorola Elite Flip headset and when im using it with HTC One all my friends saysing, that quality is horrible, echo, noises...
I thought that ive a bad headset, but today ive decided to try it with my girlfriends' HTC One V...its amazing...everything is ok.
Ive tried again with HTC One and give her my phone and heatset, when i called her from another phone. Ive barely heared her, echo, noises...
So i guess its issue with bluetooth in HTC One. Anyone has such problem?
BT working fine with SmartWatch, so i guess it must be profile-related, or just cause it has bluetooth 4.0

I always had bluetooth issues using any developer edition based OS
And I always had to revert to a .401 or .502 based software to correct it.
mostly all the roms available now are based on the DE .1540 base

bluetooth headset works fine for me... I'm using the Moto Boom, with PA 4.4.2. Perhaps try running a non sense rom and see what happens.
Hello! Hoping you can help with a weird problem.
I have a new HTC One M7 that originally had AT&T bloatware installed. So I installed TWRP 2.6.3.3 and flashed Android Revolution HD 82, which was nice and slick but the battery was abnormally bad - lost 50% in three hours of regular activity.
What was really weird was the battery just plummeted during calls, and the phone would heat up to a worrying degree.
So I installed ViperOne 6.2.0 (which is awesome) but, while the general battery seems to be better, I get the same problem when calling people. Super hot, intense drain. The battery even slowly drains when I'm doing a call and the phone is charging!
So am wondering, does anyone understand what the problem is?
Thanks!
Apologies for the bump, but am hoping someone out there can help!
Hi there,
Please stand by until the mods will move this thread to device specific forum.
Thanks

You should try to go back to stock and see if the issue still persist. If yes its probably an hardware defect

Thanks dude, I'll try that tonight!
Been a while since I moved away from my M7, however I am looking to resurrect the phone and maybe flash a Sense 7 rom.
When the ports first came out I noticed battery life was rather poor, if not very poor. Perhaps something I was doing wrong at the time, but I never returned to using a Sense 7 rom after that.
How do the latest Sense 7 ports compare these days, particularly over Sense 6 roms which I have found offer better battery life and perhaps more stability?
Any major bugs in Sense 7 roms to note?
What a great phone the M7 is. Many years old but still a powerful phone even on todays market. Good to see the devs still supporting the device.
Thanks.
Anyone?
Thanks.

Not sure if this answers your question, but I found this recent link which seems to offer a version for the M7 which includes Sense 7.
[ link blocked by XDA, will provide later, it's from a Turkish website and it's called "HTC One M7 (7.19.401.151) Sense 7 Ported - v2", you can probably find it online]
I will try translating the comments tomorrow to try to understand what it really is. Anyone familiar with the language please feel free to pitch in. One thing I'm confused about is that it lists the firmware version number as 7.19.401.151 Europe, while the version I recently flashed is 7.19.401.51 (last digits different).

Thank you Mr Kong, that really clears things out.
Now if someone could address OP's initial concern about Sense 7 on an M7, that would be great.
Currently my phone is running ARHD 93.0 on a 7.19.401.51 and after tinkering quite a bit I got Sense Toolbox (Xposed) to work and I'm rather happy with it.

Sense 7 ROMs are pretty much rock stable, with good performance. Battery life is a bit worse than Sense 6, but not much. I tried pretty much all sense 7 ROMs, and each one had at least one small bug that was very annoying to me, so I stuck with stock Sense 6 ROM. By small bug I really mean small, and there are fixes on xda, but I feel that Sense 7 doesn't bring any concrete upgrade, so I don't use it
