Can get any roms to run. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Sprint HTC One (M7) and I am having trouble. I have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed. I have lock it and flashed the stock recovery and locked the boot loader but I can't get any RUU to work. They keep giving me errors. I have tried 4.06.651.4, 5.05.651.2 & 6.16.651.2 RUUs. I have tried to flash ViperOne 7.0.2, Android Revolution 31.6 and 5.03.651.3 with TWRP. They fully install but the phone just keeps going into a boot loop. I can get to the unlock screen but that's it. My phone is S-ON and myHBoot is 1.56 and my OS is 5.05.651.2 (4.06.651.9). Can someone help me get this phone working?
Thanks

Because you are flashing GSM roms on your CDMA phone. It won't work, flash roms compatible with Sprint (CDMA) variant.

post the output of "fastboot getvar all". Make sure to remove your IMEI, MEID and SERIALNO before posting.

I was finally able to get the 4.06.651.4 ruu to work. Thanks for the help.

Because I am on a newer firmware and because I am S-ON I do not seem to be able to install any of the (mostly older) RUUs I have found. Any suggestions? Is there an RUU for 4.06.651.9 that I am not seeing? Is there another way to roll back my OS to allow an older RUU to be installed? Another option altogether? A way to S-OFF while on CM?

you can use this then take the OTA updates

Is this the 3.04.651.2 RUU? If so, I already have a copy, and when I attempt to run the ARUwizard I get Error 155. Most likely I am doing something wrong. I just assumed that since I am already on 4.06.651.9 that the problem was I couldn't install the older 3.04.651.2 version. Thoughts?

This is exactly the same issue I'm experiencing. Well, now I'm even beyond this point... I am only able to boot the phone to the bootloader.
Edit: I am relocked as I am S-ON. I can't update firmware as the signature check fails. Flashing the 3.04.651.2 zip has a signature verify fail, as well.
Hope this helps

If you can still boot to bootloader your phone is fine. You should still have recovery (TWRP?) on your phone I assume. Regardless here are some steps that should help:
1. Figure out if you are S-ON (is found on the bootloader screen)
2. If you are S-ON, try Rumrunner to get S-OFF (just google it). This will allow you to install any RUU regardless of your firmware.
3. If Rumrunner doesn't work or you don't want to go to S-OFF then download the 4.06 RUU here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658910
The problem is your firmware is ahead of the corresponding firmware of the 3.X release. As such you have to install from the newer RUU.

Actually, it seems that the phone is wiped; I can't boot my recovery. As a result, I can't really get S-OFF. I'll try the 4.06 RUU, but would it make a difference that it's .4 and not .9?
EDIT: I'm talking out of my ass right now. Long day, and this isn't helping. I am figuring it out; unlocked the bootloader, and now things seem to be functional. Well, except CM doesn't seem to want to boot any longer, but that shouldn't matter for long.
EDIT 2: How can I get S-OFF without enabling debugging? As of right now, CM is just in a boot loop.
Sim Unlock Sprint HTC One Max
I almost cannot believe how many different ROMs I've tried to flash after wiping out my original ROM.
Bootloader unlocked and rooted I managaged to relock the bootloader while trying to fastboot flash a stock ROM, which also failed.
Beleive it or not, I've have found a couple that will boot up with my Sprint HTC One Max . I was able to re-unlock the bootloader, flash a new rom and even recover user data I had backed up to my PC via adb backup.
All this for not, as I still cannot find a Sense ROM that will flash on my device and allow me to unnlock the Sim via Sim Unlock Helper.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

[HELP] sprint version bricked S-OFF help plz!

Hello everyone,
My friend has a HTC one from sprint.
I wanted to flash viperone rom to him, so i did SUPERCID 1111111 and S-OFF.
I thought that by doing that, i would be able to flash a GSM firmware before flashing viperone rom, but the phone started to bootloop everytime even after doing fastboot erase cache.
I managed to flash the rom, however now the phone keeps bootlooping.
I reflashed the rom serveral times, and it still wont work. I tried a sprint firmware, but it does the same.
So my question is, since the sprint phone is s-off and has supercid, can I flash a developer edition stock rom? How do I find a firmware for PN072000?
or do I have to flash a stock sprint phone ?
Thanks in advance whoever can help me.

I had bricked my phone and was stuck in the green letter HTC and white screen. I changed my cid to 11111111 with hboot ver 1.56.000 and I was also s-off. After 15 hours of trying everything with only being able to use fastboot commands, this is what I had to do to get back to stock. Fastboot oem lock to relock the bootloader. Fastboot oem rebootRUU. Downloaded Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_4.06.651.4_RUU.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658910. unzipped and ran .exe file.

You cant flash GSM stuff on a sprint phone, even with s-off. Do what said above. Restore the original cid and flash a sprint ruu. No need to relock bootloader to use the ruu with s-off

Thanks both for the reply.... I can't remember the original cid.... Any tips?

[Q] HTC one m7 brick. Viper Rom v7.0.1. Kernel Elementalx.

I had just installed Viper Rom v7.0.1 and noticed my calls were not going through (HBOOT 1.44). I read that I should try installing a custom kernel. I decided on ElementalX. Unfortunately, I installed the NON Sprint version.
This created a boot loop.
I can get to TWRP recovery, wipe cache/dalvik, reinstall ViperRom (also tried Bad Boyz and Stock with Goodies which were already on SD card), but with the same result. I cannot get the computer to recognize the device long enough to get the correct kernel pushed on the device.
TWRP is updated. And I tried sideloading to no avail. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

or a fastboot getvar all (minus serial no. and IMEI) would help

I just want to know why!
If you flash in twrp you need to flash the boot.img in fastboot in order to boot because your s-on. And also what you are running I believe are gsm based roms. In which case they will never boot.

ARHD is not compatible with Sprint.
By flashing it your partitions are messed up now.
You will need to RUU to fix and stay in the Sprint section when choosing a rom.

Yep says it several times in the OP.
I can't seem to get any other ROM to boot except CyanogenMod and LiquidSmooth. CM is completely stable while the latest version of LS is a bit buggy. They both absolutely refuse to acceept any APN settings. I am using Ting's service right now and I can't use it on these ROMs.... I tried flashing several stock Sprint ROMs for the HTC Onr M7 and none of them will boot. They'll boot if I flash the boot.img like someone here suggested but it doesn't help. It will go to the desktop, however, the screen is completely black. Is there anyway to flash a stock ROM properly? RUU's don't work either.

Sauprankul, I just want to say thank you for letting me know about that link. I was able to fully restore the stock ROM! Not only that, I was able to flash an updated firmware which was 6.16.651.2_firmware. My HTC One is CDMA (Sprint).
First try updating by going to Settings ---> About ---> Software Updates. If that doesn't work try the following:
This Lollipop update process is ONLY for the Sprint HTC One M7.
First flash the firmware via Fastboot: 6.16.651.2_firmware.zip >>> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934523626
And then install the RUU for 6.16.651.2 via Bootloader RUU Menu:
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_..._NV_SPCS_4.38_003_release_414036_signed_2.exe
If you don't know how to do these things, then you shouldn't attempt to. You could end up hard-bricking your phone.

It has been a little bit difficult to S-off my HTC, since it has Hboot 1.57. So far I've tried Revone and Rum Runner without success.
Firewater seems to be down and I'm tempted to pay for SunShine, but I'm not really sure about paying for an application that might not work.
My HTC originally came with Android 4.4.2 and I got a notification to upgrade to lollipop via OTA, but I was suggested to make a backup just in case. So I had to root my phone, unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP in order to get my system backup, but due to the previous procedures I can no longer upgrade to lollipop.
Right now all I want is to follow my original plan by installing a stock rom and try to update to lollipop via OTA.
You kindly suggested me to s-off my cellphone, but I've seen some videos on youtube in which they install stock roms with s-on:

I decided to go out for dinner and come back and try as many times as needed. Fortunately I realized that I misspelled the command fastboot reboot-bootloader I had forgotten to type the hyphen. [Q] Bootloop and various troubles and doubts

Hi! I recently get the M7 wls Sprint variant from aliexpress. When I turn on the phone it works good until start rebooting. It comes with 4.4.2 and Sense 6. Bootloader is Locked.
S-Off.
HBOOT -1.57.000

Cid -11111111
Stock recovery
I think is rooted because it have superuser aplication. When it start to rebooting I decide to make a Factory reset. Now the phone boots and don't pass the Htc logo.
I need to install the Ruu file for the Sprint version? It will change the cid and hboot and radio numbers?
I want my phone rooted with the cid-11111111 to flash any custom rom.
What thing recommend to do first? Thanks. I have a bad english. Sorry.
You maybe have to find the kernel file for that phone download it and after you flash the stock romantic to the phone flash it with the kernel that should kick it back on. If that doesn't work you have to repartition the phone then flash it with the stock romantic then with the kernal. That's how it works with android using Odin.

Flashing a RUU will not change your CID and supercid isn't required to flash custom rom. Don'T forget that since you ave a sprint M7 (WLS) you can only flash roms that was made for the WLS version. If you are planning to use custom roms, I wouldn't bother with flashing a RUU and simply flash a custom recovery and a custom rom. All roms for sprint version can be found in the sprint htc one forum (not here in the gsm forum). You also have to use a custom recovery (twrp or cwm) made for the wls variant, not the version for the standard htc one (M7_U/UL).
If you want to flash a RUU, pleas post the output of "fastboot getvar all" so we can help you find the correct one and make sure everything is fine before flashing. (don't post your IMEI / MEID / Serialno)
