[Info] Nexus 7 3G OTA bootloader also corrupt - Nexus 7 General

This information pertains to the 2012 Nexus 7 models. I'm unsure what the situation is with the 2013 models.
As reported e.g. at [Q] JWR66Y nakasi factory image bootloader problem and [GUIDE] Flashing a Factory Image with fastboot / return to stock, Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 3G factory image bootloaders are corrupt, apparently since Android 4.3 JWR66Y.
A Nexus 7 3G OTA with bootloader that I downloaded and tested also contains the corrupt bootloader v4.23. The OTA in question is JWR66Y from JDQ39 linked from [REF] Nexus 7 Stock OTA URLs. The corrupt bootloader has size 2,151,068 bytes and checksums 5bdb2e87370cdb1a7ea14bb0c3e21390 (MD5) and ce2951e59da64fa57d281f47031364050c83f49c (SHA-1), instead of 2,150,992 bytes and df53028033c9eccf4fe5ba7bc198ce24 (MD5) and 7b28b45a035efb9aad9e61ad09b1906eb5508721 (SHA-1), resp.
For what it's worth, the latest Nexus 7 3G LRX22G factory image also contains the corrupt bootloader v4.23.

[A510FD][FIX IMEI-WIFI-SERIAL] Combination Rom for A510FD [A510FDXXU5ARB1]

Hi this custom rom will fix these problems
Fixing No IMEI
Fixing WiFi problems
Serial Number and Baseband fix
Bootloop Fix
FRP Lock removing
Carrier unlock and reading network info
Determining the problems are software or hardware
as i know we cannot install older version of bootloader's roms on our phone because of sboot version, at first you must know about your device sboot version.
when you install the older version rom via odin on your phone, you have maybe see this error like on bootloader mode and the rom will not install in first step of odin installation, what does it meaning of these codes?
Code:
CM SW AEV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE:3. BINARY:2
we have 2 numbers
Code:
Device:3
it showed us the boot loader version of our phone is 3
Code:
BINARY:2
it is showing us the rom bootloader version is 2
when your phone's bootloader version is higher than your rom's sboot version, it means you are downgrading your phone, and its not allowed from Samsung.
now we must have equal or higher version of firmware's sboot version over our phones.
additional information to know combination's buildnumber.

What full Oreo stock ROM Image for reteu release channel?

Could some one please point me to a full stock image for the with the Oreo rom for the reteu release channel?
I have a moto 5gs plus here that does not want to do the OTA update to oreo 8.1 the phone has an unlocked bootloader but unmodifyed system/boot.
So I thought i just wil go with installing a full stock 8.1 image.
but the images i can fund does not say if they are for my release channel which is reteu,
does that even matter or can i just install the file from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g5s-plus/how-to/tutorial-fhash-oreo-8-1-stock-global-t3852967
any advice would be greatly appreciated
You can use the one you mentioned. I did, on an XT1805. System info still shows reteu as software channel after flashing.
Did you run all the commands from the thread including erasing the data partition?
Or what was your update procedure?
I followed the commands, except erasing the data partition (the OTA for Oreo also didn't do that). I also skipped flashing logo and bootloader. I have the bootloader unlocked, and the logo was replaced to remove the unlocked bootloader warning.
(I flashed the ROM to see if that would solve an issue I had after the OTA upgrade to Oreo.)

Question Regarding Root and Build Number

Hi everyone,
My Razer Phone 2 has just gotten an update for November 2020 Security Patch. The build number is P-SMR6-SGT-RC001-RZR-201030.3682.
I am planning to root my device using the latest boot.img file on Razer Developer website, but I realized that the build number is slightly different, it being P-SMR6-RC001-RZR-201022.
I was wondering if flashing the boot.img file on the Razer website (with magisk) works for my particular build number - they're both MR6, but mine seems to be slightly different. I have never rooted/ flashed anything nor unlocked the bootloader before.
Cheers!
Well if the bootloader isn't unlocked then your phone will force a wipe before it can unlock. At that point you can just run the flash-all from the mr6 factory image and the build number will then match.
