Can anyone help? In having issues with the battery. It drains like no other. I'll pick up the phone right off the charger at 99 or 100%. Use it for a few minutes and it will be down to 75%. No idea what is happening here. Nothing seems to be running the background and even if it did, it shouldn't be using this much battery I'm just a few minutes.
Thanks
Have you tried looking at your battery stats? Try BetterBatteryStats to glimpse at what's draining your battery.
Everything looks good there. I think there may be s glitch somewhere because I don't see how it is possible to use 25% of battery in a few minutes even with extremely hard usage.
I'm using chrome to read the news right and at the same time watching the battery. After s few minutes of reading the news, the battery jumped from 97 to 93 and immediately to 91. Then every 20-30 seconds it lost a percent.
I also noticed that the total battery usage time changes also. I took the phone off the charger, 10 minutes later, the battery stats shows that it has been on for 1 hour and 50 minutes. I waited a few more minutes and it shows that the battery has been on for 1 hour and 43 minutes.
I don't know what is going on here.

May I see the list of the apps which you're using? And always do remember LTE is a big time battery-sucker and it seems you've also turned on the location service
Don't have the list yet. Just did a factory restore and unrooted the phone. Didn't download any apps, phone is just like out of the box. Same issue is happening. Used the phone to make 10 minute phone call and battery went from 100% to 47% immediately.
Have you tried leaving it plugged in to charge beyond 100%? Like when it gets 'full' just leave it plugged in and trickle charge for a while and unplug.
Something is definitely being reported incorrectly if you can burn 20% of your battery in a few minutes.
I have a similar issue with a nexus 4 I play with. It jus discharges super fast even when it's off.
It lasts maybe like 4 days powered down.

At first update 4.3 seemed like a good idea but now ... here is what happened ..
I put my phone on the flight mode then plugged it to the charger and went to sleep then woke up in the middle of the night and saw it fully charged then unhooked it and continued my sleep.
i woke then had my breakfast and went my phone and I saw that it's battery level at 86% and the reason for it was HTC Services !!
Is there workaround to shut them because I really don't need them .

I'm not sure you can disable them, I assume this is a rather vital part of Sense.
However, I'd take this with a grain of salt. Since the update, the system seems to handle battery percentages above 90% differently as part of some weird battery lifetime protection scheme. After the battery reaches 90%, it climbs up to 100% in just a few minutes and the phone acts as if it is fully charged. If you then disconnect it, it will drop back to 90% just as fast. This would mean that if you managed to disconnect it shortly after it climbed to 100%, the actual battery usage in your case was only ~5% instead of 14% and the fact that GSam reports HTC Services as the top battery hog is simply because this app was the only one doing anything in the time frame.
To avoid this behavior, leave the phone on AC even after it reports full battery, it will keep charging the battery, albeit at a slower rate. If you leave it charging longer, it will last above the 90% mark for a longer time.

That has been my experience as well.
I guess we all agree that there's a problem and koniiik might be right .
But I think that there is a bug in one of the HTC Services apps because it remained at the top of battery usage for another day then it went back to normal after the third charge and the battery became stable .
I noticed something that might be good for sharing! Always when I'm charging with 'Power Saver' manually activated it seems that the phone charges better than with this option disabled...With option off(or activated automatically) it charges to 100% but then fast it goes below 90% pretty fast...with option enabled it seems to keep longer before going under 90%...
Does anyone experience the same thing or it's just my imagination?:cyclops:

I have the power saver on nearly all the time and I'm still getting this behavior.
Hi,
I just recently purchased a "new" Moto X from eBay. I've been trying to calibrate the battery, and it seems to be slowly improving, but the results are not what I was hoping for.
Day 1:
Battery drained from 100% to 70% in two hours of use
Day 2:
Charged 100%, left it unplugged overnight. Drained from 100% to 88% by the time I woke up. Could not make it throughout the entire day without having to supplement the charge by around 7:00pm. Minimal use.. maybe 2 hours of screen time, 14 hours on.
Day 3 (today):
Charged overnight. Took it off the charge at 11:00am. Battery remained at 100% until 11:30, and sporadically skipped 99, 98, and 97% and jumped straight down to 96%. It is now 3:04pm, and with light use I'm down to 65% battery. 1hr 40m screen on time, and 3hr 55 min on battery. View the 3 attachments for battery life information.
Is this normal, or is my unit defective?
Edit: I end processes as soon as I'm finished with them, I keep the screen on the bare minimum brightness, and I disabled most of the apps that I don't use.
Give it a few days and leave everything on auto. No need to close apps anymore and the battery saver setting is useless. The only things I toggle on and off are WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Everything else is on all of the time. I use lux for brightness because I prefer brighter than stock.
Today has been an average usage day, no calls. Here is my usage

Battery life depends a lot on signal strength. I get horrible battery life at work because I can hardly get two bars to show. Great signal=great battery life. This doesn't apply to Wi-Fi connection because the signal does not have to travel that far.
Hope this helps.

HOW TO SOLVE IT
To solve this issue I leaved the battery drain until the phone goes off and let it charge being off for about 5 hours (it took me less than an hour to reach the 100%, but I belive it didn't show it correctly).
Then turn it on and use it normally; I've seen an improvement, but not enough, so I did the process again and now the phone shut down a minute after it reach 1% (wich took me almost 5 hours of screen usage).

THE ISSUE
Hi there!
Since a few days I have 5.1 in my xt1058, and I did a factory reset just after the update.
The first day it was pretty good in everything, but somehow I had a 1% battery issue (I was in 80% +/- and suddendly jumped into 1%, I don't remember if I did something for this to happen), and when I charged it wont move, not even a restart would solve it, so I leave it charging and in like 30 minutes it was at 100% again!
Then things go bad... at night it would eat 30% of the battery, and with wifi usage or data it would last more than 5 hours till 10-5%.
More of the % eaten was from cell standby (normal problem you can fin everywhere in google) but I read in some other forum to leave the battery die and then recharge it at 100% with the phone off, so I tried it:
I reached 1% and was ready to let it charge all the night, but it wont turn off! I put the brightnes at 100%, turned wifi, data, gps, bluetooth on and set the screen to go off after 30 mins while playing music in play music (stream).
The damn battery was at 1% all the night!
A few hours after I woke up it suddendly shut down, and I put it to charge bing off and it took less than 1 hour to go 100% (with stock cable and wall charger).
I made a battery calibration when pluged at 100% and the mA weren't rising, but now I just leave the phone in standby with wifi and in 30 mins I had 10% battery consumption (just like before), and surely in 1% it wont go off neither.

Already tried factory reset and cache clear, no solution.
Thanks in advance!!! man I would make you an altar if you help me!
Kisses and hugs!

I use a white one that came with the phone, it have 2 usb outputs, 5v and 1150mA.
But I doubt this would be the source of the issue, since I used the same charger when I was in kitkat and this did not happened.
Thanks for the reply!

Don't trust the statistic on 5.1. You should make several 100% charging-0% discharging cycles in order to calibrate your battery.
Hi everyone, first sorry if my english is bad.
Here is the thing. I just bought LG watch urbane w150. First boot was very long, about 2 hours of syncing. After getting it to 100% charge and all Android wear updates, I started using it. After about 14hours my battery was at 70% and I was very happy, but then... It turned off... First tought was, ok..maybe I was accidentally pressing power button... But no, he was dead. Battery was dead.
So can someone explain me what is that? After 14hours of usage battery draind to 1% in allmost 2mins. Oh and yes, after 2 hour of charge he at 2%.. Sorry I can upload any of screenshots because I'm new here.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm running Andorid 5.1.1. on my Sony Xperia Z3 compact.
This happened to me to on first use. I charged it again, it took a lot longer, it stayed on 2% for half our. Since then its working as it should.
Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
Same exact thing happened to me on first use. It got down to about 40-50% then it turned itself off. I watched it while it charged and it took an hour or two to get to 5%, then it instantly jumped to 100%.
The same thing happened to me... I receive it at midday today and I was setting the clocks, installing apps.. etc. Last time I checked the watch was at 84% battery. After 1h or so... the phone rebooted itself and then showed me that I have 1% battery.
I thought some of my apps (watchmaker) caused a massive draind and I entered settings and restore it to factory deffaults.
now is in the charger .. showing 1% after 1h in the craddle.
Shall I return this bad boy... any chance to happen again in the next days?

I would return it. After an hour, you should be nearly full. I have location on, 2 emails, 2 twitter accounts, Google plus all syncing with heavy use of replying to texts and alarms and I'm at 69% 12:30am here. 2 months running with this guy.

The last Android wear update app is no good either. Uninstall and reinstall this one.http://www.apk4fun.com/apk/73727/
Same situation here, after start all updates connecting to phone ect battery lvl goes down to 78%,
when checking after 2h it was 74% but watch switched off suddenly.
Started charging and it goes from 0% but v.slow, after 2h 5% but then after 10min shown 100%
strange now is 98% but will obserw why and what is wrong.

any update?
Today watch is 80% so during night battery monitos shows 0,88%/h will update when power will
go below 20% then charge again and will observ.
btw what is that program for monitoring battery in post 'ikenvape'?
I return it..... and bought different things with the money.
Thanks anyway!
Had the same "problem" today.
Brand new watch received 2 days ago and fully charged by myself at 100% before use. (Watch was off during the night)
Wear battery stat has been installed at the first start. Allready have this app installed on my phone (had a Sony SW3 before)
As you can see on the screenshot below, LG Urbane switched off at 17h today with nearly 27% battery level.
Started charging at 18h30, was very slow going from 1% to 7% and then jumped to 100% at 20h00
Maybe due to the 1st full discharge and 1st battery calibration.
Ok, I know that maybe it's too early even to write something like that, but I would like to get your opinions/experience on this topic.
I have been using a brand new Huawei P20 Pro since the day before yesterday (Saturday). On that day, I unboxed the phone at around 5 pm (battery was 55%), and after installing the updates and everything, at 11:30 pm it was gone. I plugged it and charged overnight, then used it the next day from 10am to 11:30 pm, being quite happy about the battery usage (it was 40% yesterday evening). This morning I switched off the airplane mode at around 9, and suddenly started to notice that battery usage was different, like the phone was dropping 1% every 2 minutes just scrolling on Facebook or browsing online. At 4 pm, battery was 16%, and after 1 hour without using it, it was 4% and phone shut off.
As I told at the beginning, I know that it's probably too early to worry, but have you noticed anything similar on your devices?
Thanks!
Almost no problems here. I've had mine for around two weeks and so far its battery life has outperformed all my previous smartphones (various Samsung models).
I did say almost because there was one day about a week ago where battery was dropping a fair bit quicker than usual, though nothing nearly as dramatic as what you described. If I remember correctly a charge and a restart fixed it. I've had similar experiences with my past phones once in a while, so I'm guessing an app or the OS itself runs wild sometimes?
If your problem persists then you might have a faulty unit of course.
Thanks for your answer...
This is my latest battery usage. I charged the phone to 100% yesterday and unplugged it at around 8. Now it's at 5%. What worries me is the fact that this afternoon, while screen was on, battery dropped about 1% every 2-3 minutes...
Current SOT is 4h 33m. I mean, that's okay, but so far from the incredible results I've read on the Internet (people posting pictures of 6-7-8hrs of SOT). Stats don't seem to report anything unusual: most consumption comes from WhatsApp, then Telegram and Facebook.
Have you ever experienced something like that on your device? I read on another thread here on XDA that people noticed a better usage of battery after a week... Should I wait before worrying?
Thanks.

I haven't been keeping a close look on battery use until now, and I haven't done any screen on-time tests.
I just checked my current stats in the system battery screen and from the Ampere app (and I just installed AccuBattery now that I'm curious) and when I put on charge now I still had 64% battery left after almost 17 hours of use and three and half hours of screen time.
