Liorcifer that occurs when the glue holding the lcd down is not layered well. Take it to a service centre and they should be able to fix it in 10 mins. Its nothing serious, they haven't sealed it up properly. Do not try to pressurize the screen as it will not help in sealing it. It has to be removed and re-pasted. Hope this helps your query!. Cheers.

do anyone had gone for screen replacement for O.B
how can we do it and where can we buy it ..
and does replacing screen alters touch sensitivity ??
Hi there mate!
From what I know, replacing your screen does not affect your sensivity...unless you buy a screen from an unknown vendor.. .
You can send and e-mail to LG and tell them your problem..they should resolve it. I do not have so much experience in such things so please do not swear me for this xD.
Anyway, I hope I helped.... . Farewell mate!

After i replace the screen the sensitive buttons (home, back, search, menu) don't work anymore (work's if i press very hard on the screen)
It's possible to be from the connections or because the screen isn't good...screen works very good except sensitive buttons..

If it bothers you return it....I don't have that issue but my screen has a spot on the glass where the coating seems to be worn off. Only visible when in bright light. If you can live with it keep, it if not return it.

Yeah, I have that problem, and I've seen a few others with that problem as well. Doesn't effect it at all IMO, but it does bring down that "quality feel" a bit. Especially when you "tap" in the center of the screen where it is "bowed", feels/sounds a bit hollow. I think there are some things you can do to fix it. One of such fixes that I had read included the use of super glue. Seems a bit much, I'd suggest using that warranty or hit up ASUS for a replacement. Maybe send it in so they can fix it professionally. I mean, if THEY can't fix it correctly, then it needs to be replaced. I'm waiting until the last week of my warranty, then trading it for a new one. Hopefully it won't be a refurb
I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say.

[ISSUE] Screen not functioning during call

Hey guys!!
So i'm a proud owner of the white international version of the Xperia Z, but there is a problem that I've noticed with the phone!
When i make calls, and the other end picks up, phone screen turns black, I try and turn the screen on with power button and no luck, the screen is unresponsive and does not turn back on until the other end hangs up!
Glitch in the software? Anyone else by any chance?
BTW phone is rooted
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check if the proximity sensor is working.

just dial that number, i went to service test and i presume proximity switch (no proximity sensor) and on the screen it says 'Proximity switch ON' and made a beep sound
So, by any chance has anyone else got this problem? Please help

Wave your hand on it,next to the led light.
It should say off and on with the beep.

Yes I did! I never thought the spigan glas.t would be the cause!
I've been giving my headaches thinking about this!
Guess the solution is to either remove glas.t or the proximity sensor app.
Thank you both for the advice and help

Yeah I did that nothing happened, I think it's what pvilla mentioned above with the screen protector.
Thanks for your help and input, much appreciated

[Q] HTC Vivid Screen Black

Hello, today I slipped and fell and my HTC Vivid seemed to have taken the fall pretty hard because whenever I turn it on its screen is completely black, but it theres streaks of white on the bottom. It almost looks as if a nail of white is on the bottom when I turn on the phone. Any ideas to get my screen working again?

Lcd/digitizer combo is easiest fix & goes for anywhere between $50-65 on ebay and the time it takes to fix.
Or you can be adventurous and just buy the lcd only. Costs $30-35 and a lil more time.

Its more like $40 for LCD digitizer combo.. At least it was when I replaced mine lol

You lcd is broken.
You should check if the phone is reconigzed by a computer. Changing the lcd screen is a challenging task, but if you are patient you can do it.

I just got my xperia z last week from Sony and I love everything about it. I just have a question; is it normal to have a slight yellowish tint at the bottome of the screen?

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering will it go away over time? Will the calibration app fix this issue?

I would do what gm007 recommends. Replace it. Had the yellow tint problem on the xperia s. Related to overheating behind the screen. Got it replaced by Sony.

Definitely not normal for the Xperia Z screen. You better send it back asap to have the highest chance of a direct swap.
Thanks guys I setup a RMA with sonystyle. Hopefully everything will go well
