does your root still work, did you flash the complete 4.4.4 ftf, that would mean you flashed even the root and your phone is back to stock.
follow this again http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55357181&postcount=1

thanks for reply,
when i made the downgrade and upgrade again, the steps included flashing the kernel only, and at the end the root was working nicely.
but when failed to enter recovery mode, i made a complete flash cuz i thought the problem is with the root !
but still got nothing and can't enter the recovery.
still want me to follow those steps in the link?
thx

you cant, you would need to download the original firmware to flash it to stock, you might try one of the backup tool in the market but a full nandroid backup you cant do unless rooted

Ok I have a root now ,
when I rebooted my note to recovery I get this : Android system recovery <3e>
It looks like CWM but has no backup and restore options and thats why Iam confused
How I can get the CWM I used to use with my HTC Sensation
It looks like you only did root when what you wanted was root + CWM.
Go back to Dr.Ketan's guide and look at the procedure below this line that is in the first post:

My summary of your best options:
Follow from Step 2 and use the already-rooted.bat file
OR
The better (in my opinion) way:
Purchase Mobile Odin Pro(MOP) from the market and go get the CF Root Kernel that matches your firmware to get CWM. Just put the Kernel on your sdcard and run MOP, make sure EverRoot and all injections are checked, select file, find kernel, flash. Done.
MOP has also enabled us to retain root when flashing stock firmware updates by using the EverRoot and injections options, however you will lose most CWM functions when this is done. To regain CWM, you simply follow the same steps as above to update to a matching CF Root Kernel.
Have fun, and be sure to hit the thanks button for Ketan and Chainfire!
Dear beestee,
So: I have Kernel KK2 - Download This - and Extract
then : I am Already Rooted - Execute "already-rooted.bat" and follow the instructions
is there any side effects ? like format ot can not Upgrade via OTA or else?
Is there any thing need to be packed up first? like the original kernel if this method will change it
Nothin side effect, you can upgrade over OTA, BUT If you update over OTA/kies, you will lose Root.
So you have to use CWM or Mobile odin to update newer ROM

Ok I done it and it working, but I found that CWM is a program now you can access from phone not like in HTC where you must inter bootloader and MAGLDR to inter CWM
I can make the backup and restore from inside the program - right?
You can get it with entering recovery too, you have to press Home + Vol UP + Power to enter in recovery mode.
you can simply do it with inside app - restart in recovery
when you give command to backup, it will restart and auto enter in recovery mode and finish it

That root method with Odin is for Android 2.3. You tried it on 4.1.2? If yes, then download your JB firmware again and install it with Odin (like you did with that root). And use this for root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087424

Guys, I've encountered another problem and I thought it wasn't necessary to open another thread. So..I managed to root my phone and I would like to install a custom ROM but I have problems with Clockwork mode. I found a thread about temporary CMW for JB and I tried it but it doesn't seem to work. I installed it but when I want to navigate through it's menus (for example going to the "install zip from sd card" menu) it restarts. Even when I try to reboot my phone ("reboot system now") it doesn't work. CWM just restarts. Any thoughts ?

Install CoCore with Universal kernel flash, and use permanent cwm. You need to unzip it, and use kernel.bin.md5 and you must have some root explorer installed.

No, you cannot change kernel without rooting your phone.
And rooting has a lot less risk of bricking phone.

Hey guys.
So, I was on 257 - downgraded so I could root.
Installed Dual Recovery and installed iHackers, it worked fine, now on 4.3 and rooted. however. I forgot to flash recoveries after the rom and as it stands at the moment, I cannot access any kind of recovery.
Everything works great. just hope this is something easily fixed. thanks as always for all the information and advice.
You will have to start a fresh from 534 as you need root to install recovery and you only have partial root on locked bootloader thats why you cannot flash a recovery I had the same problem when aroma crashed while installing :silly:
It installed room or but I couldn't install recovery lol
Thanks for the quickly reply brocky. I would actually like for this to go perfect
The thing that confused me was this page for downloading the duel recovery : http://nut.xperia-files.com/
which of these do I need for the c903?

Hello,
I flashed Lollipop 5.0.2 and rooted with KingUser, everything is working fine. I am trying to install Xposed through Recovery TWRP, but it's showing error "E: Error executing binary in zip '/external_sd/Xposed/xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip" and then E: Unable to mount /sytem/cache/data/sdcard.
I tried flashing another version and it's still showing the same error even with CWM, TWRP or Philz.
I would appreciate your help, I need xposed to install Xprivacy, PLEASE!
Thank you a lot.

You don't have to go back to 4.3 to install the recovery.
You download the latest recovery extract it somewhere the start install.bat and then you follow the instructions
Hi, I am having an issue where my phone is boot looping and I cannot enter recovery using power + volume down
My phone is the C6906 from Rogers and locked bootloader
I was on RockZ1LP using the DualRecovery rooted and working fine, I decided I wanted to go back to stock to hand the phone off to my gf since I have been using my note edge for a while now.
I downloaded the stock FTF and flashed it via flash tool. After that I haven't been able to boot successfully and have tried many different firmware versions with no luck.
I'm convinced if I can simply do a factory wipe it should work but I cannot get into the factory recovery. Anyone have experience with this?
Any help will be appreciated, thanks

Your phone was rooted and custom recovery installed, why didn't you flash a pre rooted zip with custom recovery. That would have done the job.

What's bad about root? As long as your girlfriend doesn't use a app that needs root privileges all should be fine.

Some phones root can mess with OTA updates and whatnot, even snapchat looking towards blocking root users so I just wanted pure stock since we are long distance and I can't be there to take her through step by step every time work needs to be done.
