[Q] 4G - Huawei Ascend P7

Well, hey guys. I don't know if this is a problem or not. But when I enable the 4G on my Ascend P7 it works good. But then suddenly it doesn't anymore. The weirdest thing is that the 4G icon is on the top, but just doesn't recieve any data. So I have to reenable the 4G again. Otherwise it doesn't work. I wanted to know if it is my 4G operator problem, or it is related to system? I'm running that B609 Firmware. EMUI 3.0 Thanks in advance.

I don't know...i nave no problems with 4G. Try to contact your telephone company.

Did you manually upgrade to Emui 3.0 or you received OTA? Go to settings ->about phone->certification and click on it. It will tell you for which country your phone is. This way you'll now if you have the right update on your phone. B609 is Europe General, there are two other updates for Europe, one is provider specific (Italy - B613) and the other is for Russian locale (B615). Check Huawei support for other regions update.

Well, I opened the certification part and it shows me like a triangle, below that it is written Serbia. Above that country there is written a Russia´´i´´ letter 011 14 code. And yeah, I manually upgraded it, trough local update

Check the B615 ROM, it's for Russian locale. http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/ota-update-b613-russian-t3034161
Try it and check 4G with this ROM.

Well, I tried to install the firmware but my phone said that Install failed. And it asked me to power the phone off. So I'm not going to try that firmware again.

Read the whole thread before updating... You have to revert to B123 first and than flash B615.

unfortuantly i don't have this problem...sometimes when i've a low 4g signal the phone loose all the connectivity and the signal for 1 sec when i'm using the browser... are you sure that your carrier connection is ok?

[Q] Can't access internet thru mobile data (3G SIM)
Hi , I am from India
Recently one of my friend gifted me a Huawei Ascend P7 from Oman.
I've tried to use internet via my 3G SIM Card (using Mobile Data ),but I was unable to get the same .
I am using a 64K SIM card . when I am inserting the SIM card there is a message coming ''The inserted SIM cannot support 4G network''. but still I can make phone call SMS and I can acces internet though wi-fi,its perfect. I'd visited 4 service providers ,but none of them can't resolve the issue.
dear techies ...please help me to solve this issue and enjoy the features of this device.

Of course it will not support 4G! You have a 3G sim. You have to go to your provider and change the sim.

I have visited Huawei Service center.. they they never faced any problems like this and they inserted my SIM (3G) to another Huawei Ascend P7 device ( which is sold in india).. they selected network mode in Automatic (4G & 3G & 2G ) and everything was perfect including mobile data thru 3G network . still I cant understand why only my device is not working with same SIM card. is there any region settings problem making this issue..???
please help me to resolve the issue .

Its work perfect.
And I run ZV5 TOT the update ZV6 OTA, phone didn't has internet (mobile data) anymore.
All wifi, call & sms works OK but no internet with mobile data.
I have already put right APN before, set network GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto,
still not appears LTE or H+ sign / symbol...
So confusing, hope some guys can helped me to solved it...

APN was edited same as before when ZV4 its works like champ with LTE.
My problems after upgrade to ZV6 no more internet even with same edited APN.
I dont know whats the problems.

Its possible Sprint will locked via OTA to my phone so that any SIM card will not read / detect?
Its weird its all OK included data connection, probably failed to activation (when its ZV6 ) makes Sprint locked my phone via OTA.

I have the same problem, and I try all methods to resolve this issue like you write, but no luck (
Some tech friend said needed SIM Card from Sprint to take signal and internet will go on.
Be carefull not every SIM card compatible with LG G4.
I am waiting my package arrived from US, I will tell you if works

I have SIM carts from Sprint and have powered on phone with it, but sprint have not signal in Ukraine, and I have problem with DATA further( One way what I will try on next weekend - download with Z3X all firmware from ls991 with zv6 and working DATA and upload it to my problem phone. If will be luck - I'll write here

neither can make or recieve call when my network is set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto mode

I have a LG G Flex model LG-D958. I have this weird problem with making or receiving phone call. If I set the network mode to only GSM mode, then I can make call out and receive incoming phone call. Other than this setting, example when set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto mode, I could only access the internet network in WCDMA or LTE or EDGE mode for DATA access BUT could not receive or make phone call. If I make a call out, it will cut off after several seconds. When I tried calling to my this mobile number from another phone, I could only hear the annouced voicecall telling me that it could not be reached at the moment. Then, when I set it back to GSM only mode..then making or receiving call is back to normal.
My ANdroid version is 4.4.2. Can someone advise me what I can do to get my Flex works again? Thank you
This is an L23? Where are you located? Its to my understanding those are sold gsm Sim unlocked.
Is this a new Sim card? Is it a GSM network Sim?

My model is LG-D958. I am not too sure what you meant L23?
I am from Thailand but currently in Malaysia.
Yes, this model is sold in THailand with open sim.
Yes, it is a new Sim card with GSM network that include 3G/4G network access.
THe software I see from the phone setting is D95820d-IND-XX; Android version is 4.4.2

I'm not sure why you would have to change these radio settings at all. It should work right out of the box, except for your carriers specific APN settings.
Have you tried a factory reset? Start from scratch? Have you made any software changes?

Yes, it supposed to be.. I mean it works for everything except cannot make call if I set it to GSM/3G/4G auto mode. I have done a hard reset but the problem still persists. I was given this phone by my cousin and I am not sure whether any softwares was changed BUT I understand that the original Android version should be 4.2.2 - but now it is 4.4.2, do you think this could be the reason that is the cause of this weird problem?
Maybe it is good to totally unflash and reflash it back to its original software version. Can you guide me to doing this?

According to the lg website it should only be on 4.2.2.
http://m.lg.com/au/smartphones/lg-G-Flex-D958
I think a fresh start using the lg flash tool would be best.
Make sure you get the right firmware/tot, for your model.
Can you ask ,whomever you got the phone from what and why he changed the software?

1. Manually select the carrier in Network Settings
2. Change the network mode to GSM Only to see if you can make calls
3. You may also want to try a different SIM card in the case that it is defective (you should be able to get a replacement SIM card from your carrier for no charge)
4. Check your carrier for problems on signal strenght or ask them to see if there is a problem with you SIM
5. Toggle Airplane Mode - Enable, then disable Airplane Mode.
6. If none of that worked, you should take it to Huawei Care store in your country, explaining your problem, maybe it's something to do with your unit.

I tried everything , when switching to manual i cant find 2g or 3g network , also tried multiple sim cards that work on my mate 10 pro and i have signal in it , also tried factory reset , flashed 153 and 185 , i think it's hardware issue , thank you for your answers

More than sure. Take it to a Huawei Center to check it out and see what happend to it. Maybe something on the motherboard or some other hardware problem. Anyway, your warranty should cover it, because you haven:t done nothung wrong with your device.

I have a strange problem. I bought the "International" version, which was of course the Tencent with a flashed ROM. Although it was sold as "International" hehe
I didn't have Google Pay working and I've flashed the 1703 together with fingerprint, re-locked it down after and then updated with the latest firmware from the Asus website. (Google Pay works now)
Version WW-16.0631.1908.21
I now see that even though I have a FULL 4G+ signal. Calls come through normally etc. but the internet on mobile data simply doesn't work.
Anybody have any advice what else I could do?

There are no topics on how to get OTA, i googled, all topics say its Impossible.
I want to know how he used offical update to update the phone, i just updated using one of the updates here in FASTBOOT mode.
If you know about topic that can enable REAL OTA that works or if you at least know how i can use ASUS offical updates to update [ mean i assume you just copy the zip file to the USB and it auto updates?]

Wow, im have this issue too, so what happen with APN setting? Do you simply delete or make new one manually?

Idk how to turn on real OTA thing, but if u want update to official ROM (copy zip file to internal storage), make sure your fingerprint set to same with your ROM (ex: WW ROM with WW Fingerprint), that works with me

I just googled what my mobile phone carrier APN was and entered it instead of the wrong one.
You can find the one in the phone by simply going to settings > network and internet > mobile network -> APN ( Access Point Names )
I just started having this issue yesterday! Phone has been working great for over a month then all of a sudden 4g shows it's on and connected but no mobile data coming through! My APN is correct, and I'm using Straight Talk through the TMobile network... Still haven't been able to fix it.

I suffered from dropping internet dropping connection
The solution was APN
Go to settings > network and internet > mobile network -> APN ( Access Point Names )
click the ( Access Point Names ) and you will find many APN setting Depend on your internet provider
Click one of them and then and on far top right option button click (delete APN)
Repeat this until you delete them all
Click the ( + ) sign to create new APN
Now go to thia site:
https://www.apnsettings.org/
And search for your country or internet provider
Copy the APN setting from the website to you your phone
Then save.
Hope it could help you
In case you couldn't connect to the internet at all
you can always restore your previous setting by :
Go to settings > network and internet > mobile network -> APN ( Access Point Names )
on far top right option button click (reset to default)

It is a long shot but go to settings/general management/reset/reset network settings, then reboot the phone.

I rely heavily on internet, and lose my not so many marbles left when without it, I feel your pain.
From what I am seeing trying to look into your problem, you have done all that is suggested, other than a service centre visit

Have you check your APN settings?
Replaced your SIM card? (It might work on other phones but not on yours either to not sitting properly or something else. So try replacing it.)
Take your sim card out and try this.
Do a factory reset and flash firmware with CSC file (not home-CSC file, backup first. )
Let phone boot without sim card first.

same sim card is working in all the other phone at my home
factory reset done with the csc file but no result
M just pissed of with this problem

You're not going to get CDMA to work on the F version of the phone as far as I know you can only use GSM that's why nothing that's being suggested is working. You need to get a GSM carrier sim card.

Ok i am trying to understand something.
Your device is SM-N950F/DS.
You are in india.
The phone can't connect to 4g/Lte after the security update. 2G and wifi is ok.
Before the update 4g/lte is fine.
You tried your simcard on other phones is able to connect to 4g/lte.
Is this correct?
May i ask how did you update to the latest firmware? ota, odin or smart switch?

I have updated throught ota & after problem done flashing through odin
