Hi,
I was trying to install a custom rom as instructed in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735975
I used Philz recovery. Unfortunately i wiped the whole system and my rom installation failed
Now my phone is not turning on (it only shows Sony screen)
I've been pressing all the button combinations (power + volume up; power + volume down; power + vol up + vol down), and nothing happens, no vibration, only Red LED blinking when pressing power button whatsoever.
The only "vital" sign it gives is the Red LED when you plug it on the charger or on the USB on the PC.
Is my phone dead permanently ? Is there any way to recover my phone?
Any help, suggestion, thought from personal experience is appreciated!
Relax brother... First open your backcover and do a hard reset by pressing the hars reset button.. after that if you have unlocked your bootloader then connect your phone with fastboot ummm i guesss vol up and plug the cable at the same time.. when its connected it shows a blue led.. Flash the kernel for Xperia sp containing recoveries by choosing boot.img file from your pc.. Turn on it go into recovery and flash your rom... Bt if you havmt unlocked your bootloader then you have to flash ftf for xperia sp . 207 Okay and ya for ftf flashing just do a hard reset and plug in to pc using vol down and plug in at the same time

Thanks for quick reply bro
I have unlocked the bootloader. I don't know how to use fastboot
can you explain it to me please
Edit:
I tried vol up and plug the cable at the same time. At first it shows a blue led. But then it again only shows red led and sony screen Is my phone dead?
what should i do ?
Let for phone charge for some time... I guess it wont get charge if there is no os in your phone... Hmm umm okay you have to do it quick..
Open flashtool from menu go in fastboot there would be a option for flash kernel.. and place kernel on ur pc where you can locate it easily... .. U can flash any custom kernel.. which have recoveries built in... Just do it quick when you connect your phone... in fastboot mode give a try
When i connect the charger it shows red led but the screen remains same(sony screen). And when i remove the charger the screen and light remains the same. Shouldn't it turned off ?
Actually im not familiar with flashtool and fastboot can you elaborate the process please
Nothing's working Actually I think my phone doesn't have any OS currently. Because i cleaned the whole system
what should i do?
Do not drain your battery!! Switchoff your phone using the hard reset button when it vibrates 3 times.. Okay don't switchon it..
Yea ur phone dont have any os right now!
1)open flashtool you see menu button in the left and up... Select fastboot then a window popup select kernel( boot.img file) whatever any custom rom you have open it witj winrar and do extract boot.img or you can download it from here
https://mega.co.nz/#!PQRglRgY!kLntG3tvJp3TcVqfKtawBTV4Rwa5v8-mtLLQU-ifwOU
Download it and extract the boot.img file
Before selecting kernel(boot.img) connect your phone like you did bbefore blue right appear then select the kernel and flash it immediately!
Thanks for the help bro
I extracted cm-11-20150223-NIGHTLY-huashan ROM. Will its boot.img work ?
And i don't have any idea about flashtool can you please tell me how to install and use it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/general there is guide how to use flashtoll
by a dev follow it bro and there are many thread which will be very helpful for you!!
Okay, i'm following the thread
Can you tell me if my boot.img will work or not ?
I extracted it from cm-11-20150223-NIGHTLY-huashan ROM.
Yes it will work!! But in case it wont wrk i suggest you to download doomkernel
Or willam's kernel or the link i gave u... But im sure that it will wrk... Just download yhe flashtool install it and drivers also.. it wud be in the default location somewhere in windows local disk install xperia sp drivers fastboot drivera and flashboot drivers... and then follow the guide... Or the steps i told you already
I installed flashtool.
But it can not find my device when i connect it
What's the problem ?
Is there any video tutorial solution for my problem? I am not very good at android so it's kind of hard for me to follow the instructions
I solved the earlier problem.
But now when i'm trying to flash the device it says that the device must be rooted.
As far as i'm concerned i rooted my mobile. What changed now ??
what can i do in this situation? please help
These are the log when i tried to flash my Xperia SP

you unbricked your device ??
and you have unlocked bootloader as far i know ?? you can flash any custom kernel and for the root do you have towelroot app(tr.apk) .. its a one step rooting method !! do a google search ... and if you have recoveries installed then why dont you flash kernel in recoveries ??
Yes. I used towelroot app.
and I installed recovery. But now i can't go to the recovery menu
when i push power button it only shows sony screen. Nothing happens after that screen remains the same what can i do ?
Hey jangid,
I think my phone is still locked, although i thought i unlocked bootloader
Actually I did these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735975 steps before my phone goes dead.
Today when I tried to flash with "Emma Flash tool" and it says that my device is locked
Here is the screenshot :
what should i do now ?
you are using emma flashtool ??? .. if your bootloader is locked then you cant flash kernels ... and dont use emma flashtool its complicated to use ...
argggg .. just download 12.1.A.1.207 ftf file for xperia sp it would be arnd 800mb .. and flash it with flashtool (in flashboot vol down while plugging )after flashing it your phone will work again !!! ... to ..
I tried to flash as you instructed with C5302_12.1.A.1.205_India.ftf
But it showed error after some processing
Here is the error : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3182578&stc=1&d=1424825034
And sadly now my hard reset button is not working maybe. Because it doesn't vibrate like before
I'm going crazy bro Is there any way out ? Tell me if i can get my phone back ?
Tell me about the condition of your phone... Does your phone getting on??
If yes does it have recoveries??? .. wait from the screenshots.. Did u able to connect your phone in flashboot?? ( Green led)
Currently my phone screen is completely black no matter what i do
when i press the power button red light blinks. nothing happens to the screen.
if i try to do a hard reset it doesn't work i mean in previous it vibrated 3 times, but now it doesn't do that
my phone is not getting on and i don't think it has recoveries. Actually i think my phone totally blank(no OS, no nothing), because as far as i remember i wiped the whole system during custom rom installation
i was able to connect it in flashboot mode(green light). But when i tried to flash my device it showed this error after some processing -
http://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.co....JPG?key=1CDRfiYxUEAZdWlLid-54w&ts=1424854478
can you guess my phone's condition?

I press volume down button to enter in rescue mode, and I get a new screen, it says: PHONE LOCKED (in a green color. Now what does it mean? Bootloader is still locked? Or the phone has problems?) and I cant to connect phone in rescue mode from hisuite.
I have the same problem (the screen I attached, appear to me) not only when i want to go into recovery mode, but also when I charge my phone when it s power off( when i charge it not in power on) or if i want to flash an update.app from local update menu.
What could i do? Im in trouble. Thanks
It seems like recovery is missing. I'd try to flash stock recovery image or twrp (both to be found here in the forum) via adb
Maybe this helps:

I had the same situation. Just follow procedure that I was recently described here.
Good luck and keep us informed about your progress of getting phone back to life.
Thank you guys, im trying in the next hours. Could you explain me where to get adb? Please
Thank you all! I solved my problem following ur links. I denied root permission for adb , then i put it into fastboot and rescue mode and flashed the recovery.IMG stock through adb. Thanks again.
Mod, please close the thread thx
I'm glad you made it.

i have this problem too.please help us.is there a way to solve this issue??!!
First of all, install the driver by installing HiSuite.
Second, make sure the USB cable is connected to the PC when you try to enter fastboot (rescue) mode. If the rescue mode is not there, then the last option is to try and force the update with 3 button method, but you must have a SD card for that.

I am CATGEEK, a typical 24-year-old techie-fashionista girl from the Philippines and was a P7 user till yesterday (sold it already). I have been busy lately job hunting why I wasn't able to make this post. I know this is a bit late but I am pretty sure this'll help a lot. How I was able to get a solution was because I too experienced this and I couldn't really trust the service center since I've read some posts somewhere that also had the same problem-- it couldn't be repaired. So my habit whenever I brick my phone is not sleep until I find a fix. I was in the brink of being hopeless and tried to lend money from friends to buy a new phone and just sell the P7 at a lower price since it's declared defective. But I've come to a thread here that I will be sharing with you (it is inside my zip file) and my software repair skills when it comes to android phones that will help you out with this quite complicated issue. It's actually easy but of course you need to go through the process first before concluding that I am right (still to some people, this'll really gonna take their brains out ha ha! like how I did before). So let's get started!
Pre-reqs:
1.Enable USB Debugging but how?
Go to Settings>About phone>Tap "Build number" 5 times then go back to Settings>Developer options>Enable USB Debugging
2.Booting to fastboot but how?
Hold volume down and power button simultaneously until you see a white screen with android logo and "Fastboot & Rescue Mode" here you will also see whether your phone's bootloader is locked or unlocked, so since your prob here is it is locked, we will unlock it, okay?
3.INTACT BRAINS, SO IT WON'T GET OUT WHEN YOU ARE HAVING A HARD TIME
4.BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, HAVE CONFIDENCE!
Note:
Everything is in my zip file. Just click this mediafire link, install necessary files, read manuals and start working on it!

my huawei is G615-u10 how can i solve fastboot and rescue mode
Would this still require getting the unlock code through Huawei?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I cant get to the system, recovery, the force update method wont work and the bootloader is locked. What can I do? I sent a message to huawei asking for the code, but it takes probably weeks to get it(if I should get it). I cant get it on the offical page, I keep getting an error saying 'The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days.'. Please help!
I followed the steps to fastboot reboot. Now my phone is stuck at the HUAWEI boot logo? Any ideas? I used an official bootloader unlock code from HUAWEI. I know this is an older post, but I'm hoping someone will see this, and be able to help.
HELP!!
My Ascend P7 L07 is bricked! While trying to boot system and recovery i got 3 green leds and 2 red leds and "Boot error" screen appears and fastboot is unnable to flash stock recovery/system/boot img files (Error Command not Allowed), anyone can help me?
I am also having this same problem....I can't get to recovery and I am stuck at FASTBOOT AND RESCUE mode......and USB debugging was disabled ....I can't turn on USB debugging cause my phone can't boot up.......I got this problem while flashing a TWRP recovery ........I ALSO TRIED FORCE UPDATING ANDROID (by downloading stock ROM to SD card and then pressing : vol up+vol down+ power)
Guys......I found the solution..... All u have to do is to download stock ROM of ur huawei device and force update it.....
Step 1: download stock ROM for ur device
Step2: move the ROM to ur SD card in a folder....and rename the folder as " dload"
Step 3: remove battery and press vol up + vol down+ power ......and after 10 sec release the both vol buttons ( DON'T RELEASE POWER BUTTON) afters some time , ur phone should boot into force update
I can confirm that this method worked on my Huawei Y550-L01 that was stuck in Fastboot&Rescue mode.
Thank you!

Hi everyone!
I've got similar problem to that. My device shows: "Your device can’t be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader”. I tried to fix that with OST, but no succes - critical unlock is neccesary. I've flashed with OST 6.04, 6.12, NOST 0.6, but nothing works. Also the ADB and QFIL can't see the device, so I can not critical unlock bootloader. In the device manager, phone is seen as ADB Interference -> fastboot Device, and after installing google driver as Android ADB Interference. Recovery and fastboot modes don't work, download mode works only after connecting with OST. I tried holding 3 keys, but phone turns off after about 20s and nothing happen - I can't enter recovery. I bought this device recently and some time later after turning on it showed that statement. The varranty has expired, so I can't send it to service.
I hope you can help me.

Friends, i think i did something really wrong..
I have this sony sp for a long time broken, but i fixed the screen and give it a chance to come back to life.. But i dont like the OLD android, and tried to install OREO on it... i remember it has already unlocked bootloader. So i installed twrp using adb commands, and could get into the TWRP ... so i just did a wipe system, cache ... bla bla bla..... but it was on stock rom... never flashed any rom on it before... so.... the rom didnt installed fine... got error
but the big big problem, i cant get into fastboot mode or flashmode... everytime i got into one of those, i got onlu for a few seconds and got a sony logo and cant do anything....
i tried to install the drivers again using flashtools drivers, and the driver wont install... i am on Windows 10 and dont know what to do ( i can install other drivers like sony z1 it Works fine)
tried to install it from device manager (my computer, add legacy hardware)
nothing seems to work... what i wanted to do is... get into flashmode, to install the stock ftf on it .... but it get only for 10 seconds, after that, sony logo and stuck...
heeelp me guys
are you sure it's battery is not very low?
Omg, just install flashmode drivers
did you keep pressing buttons after succesfully put your device into fastboot or flash mode?
Thanks for answering me :
1 - When i started to try to flash the rom, it was at 90% of battery
2 - I noticed that i was having problem to put it in fastboot mode and flashmode , somehow i could install TWRP using ADB commands.
3 - My phone was already getting recognized by xperia companion
4- when i got the problem try to flash ftf back but i am getting a loop, device disconnected and in flash mode... just blinking
5- TRY TO INSTALL Flashtool drivers in flashtool folder, but , when i choose, FLASHMODE and FASTBOOT MODE, and choose the "VISKIAN BOARD" that says the chipset for XPERIA SP i got this :

Hi Guys,
So i rooted my S10 and got TWRP installed.
But for me it is still unclear, what to do about the first message, that appears when you restart your phone.

Any Way to remove that?
And also I hear from people they somehow relock their bootloader again.
Didn't understand this step for now or what the use of this was? Maybe someone explain please, so it is clear for everyone.
But when I try this > Start Phone in Recovery > Hold Volume Up to Device Lock Option > Lock the Bootloader & Factory Reset >
it just brings me here and after that it does nothing!
Here - see top left.
it says:

VBMETA: Error verifiing vbmeta Image: OK_NOT_SIGNED (3)
CUSTOM VBMETA
VBMETA: No sign Info

Question 1: Is there a Way to remove the Startscreen Warning?
Question 2: What is the use of relocking the bootloader and how is it properly possible?
Hope this Thread brings some clear view on this.

This Download screen is waiting for you to connect to your computer and fire up Odin and flash stock firmware.

Thanks your post was very useful!
After I flashed stock firmware again - do I still have TWRP then?
Scenario 1. Your phone is rooted with Magisk.
Go into Developers options and check OEM options, the switch must be ON (to the right). If it isn't turn it ON.
Turn off your phone. Press and hold the Bixby and Volume-down button, then connect with USB to your computer. (The cable shouldn't be connected until after you press the buttons).
Within seconds of USB connection the Download screen will appear. You will see 3 optiions, choose and Long press volume up and hold button until you see the 2 options at bottom of screen. Choose and hold volume up until screen goes off. Then the S10 logo screen will briefly apppear, before it flicks back to the Download screen with the words 'VBMETA: Error verifying vbmeta image etc' at the top, as the image below.
This is all good so far. Leave the phone exactly as it is with this screen showing and make sure the phone is still connected to the computer.
On your computer, fire up Odin3_v3.13.1, you can leave the Reboot option in Odin ticked. Locate your firmware on your computer and put the 4 file parts (BL, AP. CP and CSC) into Odin.
Let Odin finish.
The phone will reboot ready for setup.
The Unlocked bootloader warning screen will be gone.

But why should we relock the bootloader in the first place?
Only so we don't have the bootscreen-warning anymore?
Or does it have some other purpose as well?
And I see what I was stuck at, I didn't flashed the stock firmware, but tried to flash the patched stock rom again.
Because the bootloader was locked, It stuck at the flashing process everytime. So thats basically why this thread was created to bring some clarity about this.

Great Tip! Thanks

re-lock Samsung S20 OEM after flashing
For those who may still be interested in knowing the EASY way of doing this:
This is what i did for the S20 (snapdragon)
After flashing stock firmware, the bootloader (OEM) stays unlocked, meaning that things like GooglePay and some bank apps wont work. The way to fix this is by re-locking the oem after you have flashed your new stock rom. Here are the steps to do that (since it took me a while to figure out and there is hardly any info online) - bear in mind this works if you have NOT tripped Knox and its using a stock rom and do these steps at your own risk - always have a backup just in case:
How to re-lock bootloader (for S20):
1. Turn off your device.
2. Press Volume down + volume up and insert usb cable to your phone to start the download mode
3. Read the text below on the Download Mode screen
to block or unblock the Bootloader.
4.- Long press the vol (+) button to enter unlock mode.
LOCK BOOTLOADER SCREEN:
5. Read the 2 options available, one will say to lock the lock the bootloader, the other to lock. Press the relevant volume button (was down on mine) until the phone restarts (this will erase your data and restart automatically).
6. Go into developer mode and then uncheck the unlocked oem option, restart your phone.
That's it! Now you have a device with an OEM locked, so everything will work as expected, again, as long as its a stock rom and you have NOT tripped Knox by root etc.
Hello,
Can you tell me how did you escape the downloading window (after you tried to re-lock the bootloader). Mine seems to have stuck and I tried to long press Vol Down and Power button, but the phone reboots and comes to this screen again.
I also tried to flash a few rom, but everytime it was blocked by OEM lock. I am not sure what was the CSC of the phone (as I bought it from someone who is now not in my contact). Is there any way I can find the stock rom with limited information?
My phone is Samsung SM-G977B (5G). I just know that it is a european version.
Any ideas?
