battery stuck at 0% - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I repaired a usb port on a friend's hd7 and the unit was fine and charging.
It was at 75% and the usb got loose, so I took it apart again and fixed the port.
Now it boots but the battery lists 0% (and has for the past two days of usage)
I am unable to factory restore as the battery reads at 0% (despite having power) as I heard that can clear up battery issues.
I tried to boot into recovery (holding vol+ and power to boot) but that didn't work.
Any suggestions?

[Q] Is my phone dead?

Hey guys, here's what's wrong.
I was running the latest version of MIUI and found it to be annoyingly buggy, so I installed Cyanogen from ClockworkMod and start installing it. It ended up hanging halfway through and wouldn't progress. I made what was probably a dumb decision and decided to turn it off since it seemed to have frozen.
Now...it won't turn on. If I connect a wall charger or USB cable, the symbol of an empty battery with the white loading circle comes up for about five seconds, but the circle is not rotating and the screen goes black. This repeats nonstop.
Holding down vol down + home + power to get it into Download mode fails, it just says LOW BATTERY CAN'T DOWNLOAD in red letters. Doing the same with the volume button up gets nothing. I've tried leaving it to charge for two days with no results.
I bought a USB jig and tried using it (removing battery and SIM card, putting battery back in, plugging jig in) but it does nothing. I've tried several times.
Any advice? Is it just dead?
try an external charger to charge your battery or borrow someones battery to test your phone. failing that, charge your battery in someone else's phone.
Was the battery full when you tried installing cyanogen mod, and did you follow the instructions fully?
Clean the battery contacts on both the battery and phone pins. Use another charger, and check the port for blockages/dirt (blow in it).
Try another battery..
-Leave the jig in for 30 mins.
-Hold the combo and then put the battery in whilst holding the combo.
-Plug into your computer (with battery) and try the combo. Then try without, and put battery in whilst connected and whilst holding.
-Hold combo then plug into computer
Some of the methods above may require some extreme skill or a helping hand
It could be water damage.
I don't think it is bricked as i don't think those messages would be showing up, but i could be wrong.
If none of that works and no-one else comes up with any other ideas then you may have to use the unbrickable mod. Search for it, it's a hardware hack..
Good luck

[Q] Help with Xperia T - Can't Boot

Hello and how are you?
I recently flashed the latest doomkernel on my phone, installed a rom and all was working fine. However my batter dropped to 0% and now the phone is not booting up. I had it charged for 10 hours (twice) and when I press power button the red light flashes twice. I was not able to imitate a battery removal (power+vol up) so I removed the battery itself, waited and recharged. The phone is detected as a USB device by the pc, but I cannot flash anything since it turns off.
My carrier says this is a broken motherboard/mainboard
Has anyone experienced such issue? any help?
Mainboard is fine. Battery has to low voltage. I think the device cannot charge the battery, when it's turned off. You must charge the battery somewhere else.

Phone not charging, Shuts off when plugged in, various other issues.

I am on stock everything except for recovery, I would like to bring my phone into Verizon to get it replaced because of my myriad of issues, but I am unable to install stock recovery. These are my issues:
1.) Phone is not charging, I have tried the original charger + cable, and at least 5 others, nothing is working. I can boot the phone and use it but its stuck at 0% (sometimes it goes up to 2% but never higher)
2.)Whenever I plug the phone into a power source or to the PC it shuts off and restarts
3.) I cannot get into download mode to install the drivers, I hold VOLUP and then plug in the cable, and it says download mode, but then it shuts off again and gets stuck in a bootloop until i unplug the phone, and then power it up without the cable in it. Which is an issue considering the battery never goes above 2%
4.) Phone is in near-perfect condition, minimal cosmetic damage and no scratches on the screen. So it cant be accidental damage.
anyone have any suggestions? I would just take it into verizon but i have TWRP recovery, and im afraid they will charge me if they find out.

Strange battery problem

Hello everyone!
Yesterday was the first time I encountered a problem with my Razr i (bought in 2013). As I unplugged it from the charger (it was at 80%), the gauge changed to 2% and the phone switched off. I booted the device again and it showed 50%. Then after a while it changed to 100% and stuck like that for a couple of hours, only to drop at 15% out of nowhere. I tried charging the device for a couple of hours - nothing changed - the gauge is still going erratic. However I noticed that the phone drops to 1 or 2% battery (and switches off) ONLY when I unplug the cable - when I plug it, it is ok. But when I unplug it (either fast or slow) it either changes the percentage status to a random number, or shows empty battery and shuts down, or gets stuck at 100% (Also does that when I wiggle the cable a bit when it is plugged in). I did a factory reset - it did not help. Removed the SD card, as it sometimes gets buggy - again no results.
The problem probably is the battery, however could it be that the phone's charging slot (microUSB port) is short circuiting? If so, is it possible for the actual port to be fixed or changed?
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Phone shuts off randomly.

My droid turbo has started to shutdown randomly, I updated to marshmallow, had a bunch of issues that was fixed with a factory reset. I factory reset it and cleared the cache a couple times and left it in recovery till I guessed the battery was close to low, which it was like at 20% before I reset it. After I reset it I turned it off and never turned it on, just plugged in the charger. And let it charge to 100% and then let Android do its first boot on 100% so it would be calibrated or soemhing maybe. I have noticed that the phone will sometimes flash the power saver message then say shutting down in high percentages and display 0% need to charge screen, and after holding the power button sometimes it will come back on and boot up at like 70 or 80 %. It really happens alot below 20%, like alot. I've asociatied 20% with 0% on my phone because of it. Is there any recommendations on what to do, I plan to replace the battery myself.
