Dear Develeoper and User
I think its annoying for everyone that they have to search in every thread a Mirror. Multiupload.com is down. Megaupload.com is down, that means 80+ % of all Files aren't online and downloadable anymore and so they are much threads here about their Rom, Mod, Kernel etc. but not any file anymore.
I hope that every Dev can re-upload ther files.
Here some filesharing sites:
http://dev-host.org/
http://mirrorstack.com/
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/
http://filefactory.com/
http://www.filedropper.com/
https://rapidshare.com/
http://mediafire.com/
http://goo-inside.me/dev
https://www.dropbox.com/
and there are much more...
yes i agree, downloads should re relocated to avoid noobs spammnig the same question over and over again.. but we'll need some1 who can afford that bandwidth to upload..
any1 mind to do it?
You say it. But the only problem isn't just the bandwidth. If i had all the Files i would upload it on a extra Dropbox Account and Mediafie. But i haven't and i can't.
The only reason is hope that the dev or somone with the latest file just upload it.

Here are a few new mirror sites to replace multiupload.
http://mirrorstack.com/
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/
Both are great alternatives!

I have tried to raise the thought to some devs, but nobody seems to be up for it.
A torrent tracker like this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933720 would allow us all to help out in sharing! I would gladly seed all ROMs I've downloaded!

That would be firmidable, but the only problem is the seed. Think:
New File and just one who have it = 1 seeder and 20+ downloader...
And i also mean threads without working download should be delated from Index in between 10-15 days.

It works out perfectly well for movies, wares and all other things that are illegaly shared via the bittorrent technique! A few things making the initial upload viable:
As soon as someone has downloaded a part from the initial uploader the person will start sharing that piece. This is kinda the key to why the bittorrent technique is so effective! If you use the Initial Upload function built in to some bittorrent clients no two simultaneous peers will get the same part, maximizing the availability of the entire file quickly. With an upload speed of 1 mb/s (roughly 10 mbit connection) getting a full new seeder will take less than 5 minutes! As long as everyone is seeding when they download - which I really think they will - this will very quickly be a very fast and smooth way to share your ROMs, and support the makers of your favorite ROMs!
EDIT: Besides there is always the possibillity to speed up the initial sharing by puting it on those filesharing sites like normal!
You guys are confused there are no devs here... Just kaijura.
Sent from my Incredible S using xda premium
Mhm, thats the another problem....
Kajura seams to be one of the fee aktive devs here, the another are inactive or on a anothrmer device.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
there's currently no devs working but kaijura.
all the other devs are waiting for an official ics rom
Ok, well, that's an issue - or an opportunity! If the forum (mods) make an announcement to support the use of the torrent technique to share ROMs, it will have time to settle in the minds of the devs! It will also give them a chance to start testing it out by starting to share their current ROMs this way..
I think it would revolutionize the way we (non-premium members of the file-sharing sites) can gain access to the files! All it would take is some encouragement from the mods... or rather, that would be a good step on the way =)

*ahem* link generators.
I want at First a Re-Upload the older files. Torrent would be a nice idea, but who want to install a torrent application on his pc and is there a good apk to download it on the device? Much user (often non-devs) visit xda just with their phones

tTorrent is a perfectly good Android torrentclient (https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwxLDEsImh1LnRhZ3NvZnQudHRvcnJlbnQubGl0ZSJd). You can set it to only ul/dl when on wifi, for instance!
I already have a client on my PC and think a lot of other ppl do too!

Hi,
Sorry for posting it here, but I haven't made ten helpfull posts yet and can't post it in the original thread ([ROM-alpha] CyanogenMod 9.0.0 RC0 (Android 4.0.3) [20120307]).
Here's my nightly build of the amazing port done by kabaldan without the theme engine.
With this build I get 40 MB of free RAM most of the time.
Just two nice tips: uninstall "Google Maps" and "Google Talk" (I used Titanium Backup ROOT).
Changelog:
Code:
Updated SGX PVR drivers to 1.8 (ICS, full hardware acceleration).
Lot of updates, tweaks and fixes...
-nothemes build, much more free RAM.

Yes, it´s for the Milestone (A853) only.
The filename is correct, "umts_sholes" is for the Milestone (A853), "sholes" for the Droid (A855).

Nothemes branch don't have the theme engine (System settings/Interface/Themes), this seems to free a good amount of RAM (I get about 40 MB of free RAM most of the time).
With more free RAM the phone is quite snappy and don't force close too much on RAM demanding apps and games.

With more free RAM the phone is quite snappy and don't force close too much on RAM demanding apps and games.

What are these FXZ files? and what do I do with them?
These are Original Official Motorola Firmware Files, and must be flashed with device in AP Fastboot mode.
They will restore Original Firmware/stock rom and can be used if the device no longer boots correctly.

I was just looking for a SBF file for a friend's Droid 4, but the furthest I can find is VRZ_XT894_6.7.2.188 when it's currently on .189, Do you have the SBF for 189? If not, do you think flashing .188 would brick it? For some reason, the ongoing call notification will stick until I FC the phone app so if you know an easy fix for that I'd be happy.

Anyone knows if latest official rom is available as a zip file (and rooted) for cwm?
I want to use it on another slot. With some patches.

How to install the stock firmware ?
Hi,
I've got a Galaxy tab S (SM-T800) with cyanogenmod 12.1 and TWRP.
How can I install the new official firmware 6.0.1 with Odin without the risk to brick my tablet ?
Is there some tutorial explaining how to go back to stock firmware for this tablet ?
Thank you.

Use Odin and flash this over the top. It will return your device to stock. There's plenty of threads on here with step by step instructions, use search. Or google it

There is no German marshmallow firmware yet. If you can understand English then use this version if you like.

I'd recommend doing a clean install. This is the official firmware.

I'm using Schischu's Marshmallow ROM and I'd recommend it if you want a good vanilla android. You sacrifice Sidesync and other Sammy stuff (if you care) but everything else about it is better.
Still I'm happy about this release, on the hope that someone might want to build a nice custom off this, for which I'd be into throwing down some beers for.
Schischu's MM6 rom in antutu benchmark : 44 765
"other"mm6 variant: other are at around 44,070
Not optimized stock MM6 Rom : 47688
After some optimization on the stock MM6 rom without Overclocking anything and the device doesn't get warm : 51 ,583 ( rooted)

Not easy to find everything that I've done, my 12 y.o kid was talking to me all the time :
system ext4 cache data f2fs + busy box
nothing much, very basic optimization with 3c toolbox free, SD maid pro and Fs trim free
3c toolbox switch to expert mode
Device manager/One click =
battery optimization = ON
Performances optimization = Boot
Rom optimization = ON
Kernel optimization = ON
3c toolbox FS trimmer =0N ( top right) SD: /storage emulated/0 cache size 1536 ..I/O deadline
then = SD maid pro. / Database / Optimize
fs trim free : trim all REBOOT
antutu 6.2.1 , external sd card : sandisk ultra plus 32 FAT32
Note that the kernel optimization might of overclocked something that i'm not aware of. Since there is no abnormal heat, the cpu doesn't seem to be O.C.
= 51,275 right now.
My Corsair gaming k 65 rbg keyboard is starting to act up, can't type properly. I'll find the other setting that brought me to 51 ,583 and post back if i find it.

Typing on a cheapo keyboard : about your signature: the signature with the current hardware help us to find out which device people are talking about in their posts. Old hardware that are not in use ( retired) should not be in the signature .Some of them think that we will guess right and don't even mention their device when they post ..neither in their signature. So I don't care if you don't care , but signature that tell us which device someone has , can be quite useful.
Think twice.
I wanted Canada, but, I don't want to wait 6 hours for RG downloads speeds. Thanks!
