I DO NOT OWN THIS DEVICE!! I OWN THE QUINCYATT!! I AM JUST SHARING THIS BUILD BECAUSE I WAS FEELING GENEROUS!! PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR NEW BUILDS!! I will update this rom "IF" I feel like it & "IF" I have the time. I am not trying to be rude here but many other devices I have that I own & support. Please be kind and appreciate this rom thread if you enjoy it. One last thing, let me know if it boots or not? This is just to give this device owner something new to flash. I believe you can somehow flash the quincyatt builds to this device, OR SO I'VE READ, I just don't know how to tell you to go about doing so.
Special thanks to CyanogenMod, SlimRoms, for making their source open. @NoSpamDan for helping with this device, hercules, & skyrocket. Be sure N thank him for getting Data working. Also I believe that @SultanXDA helped him with that a bit.

I can't believe that development is still so strong for this phone!!!! A very pleasant surprise. Thank you so much @ gimmeitorilltell
With this t-mo build do you know if the wifi calling app is included? I have flashed a t-mo build to this Att phone a couple years ago and it worked very well with the wifi calling working. I may just have to give it a try and see for myself!

If you have the AT&T version then I have a few 5.0 roms over in the right section of development. Also have cm-12.0 in the original development section of AT&T devices. I am not sure about the wifi calling for T-mobile but I believe that all of my builds have wifi calling.

Yes, I have an att version- i717. I successfully flashed a tmobile rom with correct baseband changes when this phone was 6 months old-got it on launch day- and the official t-mobile wifi calling app was working.
I don't know of any other carrier that supports official wifi calling with your carrier number other than t-mo. Att is working on it, but it's still not out. Sometime in 2015 att will launch that official call over wifi with your att number. It comes in very handy when you are in a dead zone. Just turn on wifi calling and your phones works the same as over the 3g and lte connections, but on any wifi network with your native number.
I know voip over wifi works with 3rd party apps. Is that the kind of wifi calling you're referring to??
Either way, I will definitely check out your other 5.0 roms for the att Note. In the ATT side of development. My Note has been on the shelf for the past year or so!!!
Hi. I need help. I followed all the steps above but I can´t flash the rom. It always gets stuck at the goggle logo. I used CWM, because if I try WTRP I get a message error like " E:unknown volume for path. Any ideas? :crying:

You NEED to wipe everything except the sdcard & internal sd. Try that to see what you get?
No luck. Did all the wipes and nothing. I'm considering do a dirty install.
I get this message: error executing updater binary in zip "/sdcard1/candy5

Your recovery seems like it needs updated. I do not own this device so not sure which one will work. Do some research & see if you can flash my quincyatt roms to this device maybe? It has been done in the past & I keep those roms updated.

I used CWM 6.0.4.3 and your version of TWRP 2.8.3.0 whit no success. Until I find a solution, I´m using the Beanstalk ROM. But I wonder if there is conflict with the kernel.
---------- Post added at 12:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:13 AM ----------
wgiddyup and nourmax64: I backed up my phone before flash the ROM. I wanna think you did so. If not, the only way to get your phone back is reflash the stock ROM with Odin. And then, if you want update your OS to KitKat, use the Beanstalk ROM, until we find a way to install this ROM.

Sorry about the TWRP mishap. My OP is a C&P from my quincyatt thread which has the twrp for that device. This device would need someone to update recovery for it.
Hello.
Any news on how to install this rom without any problems. I tried and got stuck on flying dots.
I would like to try this rom.
Thanks.

Unfortunately work has me very tied up lately and I have not updated this rom. Maybe you and some others can see about flashing my quincyatt roms to this device? It has been done in the past & I really have no time to look into this currently. You may be able to kindly ask @pollution for some assistance or insight on what needs to be done. I believe he was the Dev that made this possible in the past?

No worries bro I have another question can I install a ROM through my internal sd card? My phone is not reading my micro sd card so I can not install anything and my USB port does not work so if I do a factory reset through custom recovery will it delete the rom I download it?

The Sprint Galaxy S4 is now receiving official CM 12 builds. This thread is here for reference purposes only. No new unofficial builds will be made.
It seems that the CyanogenMod folks are kicking along pretty well getting Lollipop ready. I was finally able to get a bootable version of CyanogenMod 12 for our phone, the jfltespr. The jflte devices are being de-unified again.
I am building a rather "plain" version, which consists of all merged GitHub items, along with cherry picks that are required to build the ROM.

Install my ROM ZIP file!
Install gapps (PA has Lollipop gapps in ALPHA) (Slim has Lollipop gapps here)
Install SuperSU!

What Works / Doesn't
Working: Mobile Data
Working: WiFi - Some users have experienced issues having BT and WiFi on at the same time. One reported fix is to change WiFi to use the 5Ghz channel.
Working: GPS - Some SPH-L720T users have experienced non-functional GPS. I suggest flashing back to TouchWiz and acquiring a GPS lock with GPS Status & Toolbox. Once that happens, go right back to recovery and reflash CM12.
Working: Camera - You may have to exit and go back in before it starts working properly. Also, occasionally the camera will appear to take photos but freeze the preview window and not actually take the photo. Google Camera and other third party apps don't seem to have this problem.
Working: NFC
Somewhat Working: Bluetooth - Some users have experienced slow A2DP playback or issues connecting to devices.
Not Working: Any other potential CM bugs. After all, this is an early release and can be potentially quite buggy.
Not Tested: Anything not mentioned above.
Found Bugs
When plugged in for charging, if you power off the phone, it will reboot after a short period of time. The touchscreen will not be functional. If you hold down the power button to reboot, the phone will be fine.
When using the stock messaging app, SMS messages will show as failed -- but they do go through. I tested to another mobile user and a Google Voice number. MMS doesn't seem to show an error.
Excessive battery drain due to NfcNci.apk in /system/app (reported for the Int'l CM 12 build). You can delete the APK if you experience high battery use from "Miscellaneous". [Hopefully this is fixed in the 11/24 build. Please respond if you notice any improvement]
Location icon stays in the status bar. This happens even if location is turned off.
Home button does not wake device.
I will post new versions of the ROM when I get a chance. New versions will be compiled daily and put into my MEGA folder.

You mention using TWRP... I'm using ClockWorkMod... Is that bad?
This is awesome. I wasn't expecting a build for this for another couple weeks. Keep up the good work!
I haven't followed or used CWM or PhilZ recoveries in quite a while -- I can't confirm that CWM will or won't work. I posted what worked for me, and it's more of a "recommended" method since I know it worked. You can certainly try CWM. If it works, I'll throw CWM in the OP with TWRP!

If you or anyone else gets it installed, feel free to let me know what works and doesn't, so I can track it in the OP and see if there may be some fixes I can do and submit. Some of the bugs are going to be fixed by the CM folks, but they're busy working on getting the Nexus devices flawless, methinks.

I'll try it... Do I risk bricking if I use CWM instead of TWRP? Or just risk it not installing?
Well, I've never seen an actual "brick" by using the wrong recovery -- with the exception of the bad NAND in the old S2. If CWM doesn't work properly, you may have an incomplete/empty /system partition or other potential filesystem problems, which will not let your phone boot. If that's the case, you should be able to restore your nandroid with no issues. Flashing is always a risk unfortunately!

Agreed -- if you need your phone for work, I wouldn't recommend flashing experimental builds like this one. I'd feel bad if you install it and miss out on something at work. Maybe someone will cue in with any CWM experiences.

I just installed with Philz and everything seems to work okay. The only bugs I have seen so far is I had to toggle airplane mode to get LTE to kick in and I am unable to download an attachment from Gmail. I live on the edge Sprint service so I will see how roaming works this evening.

Also, if I make a backup in CWM, can I restore it in TWRP?

DEVICE DISCLAIMER:
I DON'T OWN THE DEVICE. TESTING ON THE SPECIFIC DEVICE WILL BE LIMITED TO TESTERS
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested ON HAMMERHEAD, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.
And lastly, this is first and foremost a ROM about Nexus 5 (hammerhead). This is my personal device, this is where I test the ROM. angler, bullhead, flo, MAKO, shamu builds are provided AS-IS. With that in mind, I have to say that the google+ community has been flashing mako builds for a looong time and hasn't come up with anything, so I thought I'd share it here, too.
That said, welcome aboard!

I'm linking to the Nexus 5 thread so I only have to manage one thread's updates.
F.A.Q.
This will be the post where I am going to write any new updates for my ROM. First of all, welcome!
For mako's forums, this is a new ROM. But for Google+, it isn't. I have been testing it and releasing some builds in this private community, so make sure to ask to join for the latest info! I created this thread to let more people try my ROM, only now that I feel that it is in an almost perfect condition.
As as I said, my idea is to create a better stock ROM, and this is my target goal.
Another one of my target goals is to make the release of a new build almost automated. Right now, the compilation of the 6 devices build list is finishing, and is uploaded to basketbuild, using clever smart scripts. This also updates the changelog in my site, so I don't have to write a new post every time a new build is released. Everything should just work!
Speaking of releases, the ROM comes with an updater, so you don't even have to check the community or this thread for new links. But follow the pushbullet channel if you want!
I've been copy/pasting information for the past half hour, so this new thread is bound to have mistakes and inconsistencies. Let me know and I'll fix it!
Some other important points:
You have to flash SuperSU and GApps.
If you have a question, you should check out google+, in case it's there.
For the Devs: check my vendor folder, I have been developing some automation scripts which, I think, you will like!
I am an one man team, sorry for any slow responses.
Yes, this ROM is released for 6 devices, not mako or hammerhead only. You can grab the zips from Basketbuild. I haven't created XDA threads for the others (yet) because I don't own them, but I thought I should give a go at mako, since I owned the device before.
I hope you like the ROM!!!
Thank you very much for Krexus @KreAch3R , really love the stability, smoothness and simplicity...Krexy indeed! ?

Hello! I'm sorry your first experience was bad. Please join the community so you can see other people's experience. Also, you can check the screenshots in DevDB to see that the ROM is booting.
Now, to troubleshoot. Did you try to flash only the ROM? If you did, check if your downloaded file matches this MD5: 8833b5804b786c6dbc4cc14f17b4486d And you don't need to let it one whole night bootlooping, stop it after 10min.

Many Thanks @KreAch3R!! I am downloading it again as I type. In the past I used to flash ROM, boot the ROM and then flash gApps. I encountered many FCs that way. Now I flash ROM and gApps(only playstore), opengapps pico to be precise. For previous ROMs it has worked, would you suggest flashing them seperately?
I will update this post in bit after the install. Hopefully it goes smooth!
Update: Perfect! booted up nice! Time to play around with it, Thanks again for this beauty!

Great! I hope you like it!
To answer your question: OpenGApps are definitely having SetupWizard FCing if you boot once before flashing them. I solve this by wiping data after the first boot.
I thought though that this happens with every GApps package on marshmallow (never tested it tbh). Isn't this the case? Which gapps have you flashed on Marshmallow roms that didn't do that?

None, I think they all do that. So far I tested Open and bAnks. Both didn't work when installed after booting the ROM.
The first time I was stuck on bootloop was because TWRP asked me to run Super SU script and I went ahead with it, this time I didn't run the script after ROM and GAPPS install. So far, I am liking everything. I still haven't had a chance to charge full battery and judge the battery stats but the performance and fluidity is spot on!

Ah, that's why. When you flash the latest SuperSU zips, they go systemless by default, so TWRP isn't detecting any SuperSU on system. TWRP is vey outdated on this front and Chainfire himself suggests never to press that button.
Regarding mako, krexus and a new battery
Great rom. Very smooth and bloat free.
2 things: i miss hide search from recents , the cm-style settings (redundant wifi / bt/ data switches at the top) are a jb/kk era throwback
Is the kernel based on Aldy's (minimal rom)? He has the best MM kernel for mako, in my testing.
Keep it up, all is well when the thread is quiet

After going through chroma, minimal, resurrection, fake, orion, back to minimal, chroma, and lastly Krexus.
I think I have finally quenched my flashing thirst with Krexus+Quanta v10. It's only been a day, so far its fluid, and battery is holding up pretty good. Minimal OS is pretty good as well I will admit but I flashed Krexus because the future of Minimal OS looked in doubt. Now that CallmeAldy is back at supporting Minimal OS, it will be a tough choice between Krexus and Minimal. :silly:

Hide searchbar is there, just in a different place. Look under apps--> default apps --> assistant & voice input --> show widget. That's where it is the perfect place for me. As for qs drawer, I don't want to move away from stock right now.
The default mako kernel is Aldy's marshmallow kernel, yes. Not AK, just the stock one he made so that a marshmallow ROM can boot.
I only include one in mako because it is needed. I go with stock Google kernels in all other devices.
& yeah, no news is good news in dev threads. It means no bugs

That is what I get from all my mako users too, that they have seen a greater fluidity and battery usage. You know how it's all personal etc, but I have heard it from all of them, so that's worth mentioning. I had a mako (now my brother's) and he says the same too.
My personal choice is Quanta as well. Perfect for my/his needs.
As far as choice, Minimal and Krexus are brothers (a lot of common code between us, as Aldy finds the time to update it and merge stuff). In some time, I suppose MininalOS is going to have a lot of krexus stuff and then some more, while I keep going the "better stock" way. So it's just about the ROM philosophy.
I'm loving this ROM, testing the battery life and enjoying so far. Just one issue that I noticed is tab style on Chrome it's not dettached in recents, it's like pre-Lollipop days.
I'll try it right now, but I can't find your custom setup for the stock of "Open-GApps" which you mention in the FAQs. I already applied to the Google+ Community, but I've to wait.
Thanks
EDIT: I found it, probably i misunderstood that this gapps package was personalized by you, hence I wasn't able to find it.
EDIT2: I flashed latest supersu 2.67, quantaV10 and nano gapps; So I may have problems with Layers because of supersu, right? that's what I understand from FAQs.

That's not a ROM's fault. Go into Chrome Settings and change it.

Which FAQs? I guess you mean both mine & Bitsyko's. This advice was given mainly to the newer nexuses (these are the ones over-reporting problems with systemless and layers). I have used systemless in the past and I had no problems. Right now, I have installed it on system (so it survives dirty flashes). You can do it in SuperSU settings.
I am using the ROM till morning and so far really great. I have only one wierd problem. Hangouts app is starting too long (compared to Chroma for example). I mean, on Chroma its like 2 sec, on Krexus its like 4 sec. Any ideas? I am using Quanta kernel.

Well here I am once again with yet another rom . This time we have NOUGAT 7.0...It seems overall a better OS than previous ones from
the past, but thats for you to decide. Just for reminders to new folks, this is my first release, which means that I will add more features in
the future. I do take request....but no promises if I will actually build into the rom.....
Also keep in mind that will be the last update the S6 will ever get. This right here is THE last Twisted rom that I will ever build. After this
rom is complete I will be stepping back from developing.....Its time for new blood to come in here and take over.
FEATURES
Android 7.0
Power Menu
Knox Removed
Deodexed System
ADB Scripts (better,faster connection)
All Apks are Zipaligned
MiraCast Fix
Disabled Wake from USB
Loud Volume Warning is removed
3Minit Battery
3Minit Clock
Gradient Status Bar
Added Data Toggle
Edit Apn's
Twisted-Kernel V1
and more to add.......
FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Please read this carefully. Failure to do so will result in you phone NOT booting up. You MUST
be on the Nougat 7.0 bootloader/modem, NO exceptions. My rom does NOT come with root, the kernel does. So, after you
flash the rom you must either flash SuperSU or Magisk BEFORE you reboot. My kernel has all the Saftey-Net commits to pass
for those of you that want Samsung Pay, etc.
Boot time can be from 10-15 minutes. So once you have rebooted from flashing just let it sit there and do its thing. Once the
rom boots up let it sit for another 5 so everything will finish up. You will notice that the notification bar seems to be hiding
WiFi and Data icons.....dont panic. That is Gradient. Once you get past the first screen they will appear.
I have also provided you with both of the latest SuperSU and Magisk zips. Download them when you download the rom
so you'll have them on your phone. Also, please to not flood my thread with Safety-Net issues. I have shown screen shots
in my other threads to prove that does indeed work.
My kernel is only V1. There is NO Synaspe support yet. Just use Kernel Auditor. Its what I use for now.

Nice to see ya back again Sick. I can't wait to try it out. I won't be able to flash until until tomorrow though. I will report back, not that I expect to have any problems since I've never had any at all with your work since the S4. Thanks again.
Congrats bro!
That is awesome to see you still working roms builds and sharing the hard work you've put in!
I would like to say oZoP N is coming soon, but I just haven't the interest or time anymore to spend 100's of hours building!
It's already been almost 5 months with my v20 and I have yet to release even an initial build...
With all the guides and knowledge you've shared to the xda community i believe it IS time for some new people to step in and carry this device forward!
Yes, this device is 3 yrs old and near dead, but by no means obsolete!
Thia thing is a powerful device and I could see development pushing for another 2 yrs if some new guys step in and carry it there!
Anyways, congrats and good luck with this, your final project!
You Sir. Are. The. Man.

Thanks for building this @TheSickness. Everything is running smoothly
I see one issue though not a major deal breaker.. Rom doesn't seem to remember Wi-Fi passwords. Have to enter it every time I want to connect to a known network. Is anyone else able to reproduce this?

Not sure of the fix is the same as in the past and unfortunately I can not test to confirm since I personally no longer have this device.
If its has it has been since LP roms, which is super easy to simply forget to edit during all the "real" modding of an initial release, which we know Sickness has been busy working since N dropped a few weeka ago!
Its a simple edit in build.prop and I've made it easy for you.
Just flash this. That should hopefully clear things up for the time being
If it doesn't work and you notice no change, then sorry, you'll have to wait for Sick to make the fix.
If for some strange reason it doesn't work amd you can't boot(which is a HUGE worst case), then simply flash this. It is a backup that was made during the first flash.
Good luck and please report back either way to confirm because again, I can't test to confirm myself and this could be something kernel related with N builds now?
Either way, anyone who wants to test the zips can test confidently knowing I have made failsafe zips to get you back if it fails!
I did test the zips to confirm they will make backup, edit and restore original build.prop!

@stangdriver , Thanks for your fix. I had no issues booting in with the fix flashed in. I'm however still having to enter the password again to connect to my home wifi on every boot up.
@TheSickness, I am seeing a slightly broader issue with Wifi and with Bluetooth. Thought I'd document here and see if you can take a look and confirm as well.
- Wifi takes a while (~60s) to enable the first time. It does enable.
- If you turn off Wifi, it won't turn back on.
- It goes to the "Turning On.." state and then times out after 60s then returning to "Wifi Off"
- When Wifi does turn on it doesn't remember passwords for known networks. @stangdriver44's fix was not able to resolve this
- Bluetooth does not turn on. It times out in 30s and returns to "Off"
Hope this helps. Once again thanks for this ROM and I totally appreciate the time and input @TheSickness and others in this s6 forum contribute for broader benefit. Cheers!

Congrats on the release of Twisted Nougat. Is the fix going to be a separate flashable zip file or you need to upload a new ROM with the fix?
Thanks

Thanks, Sickness. I'm running your ROM on my 920W8. All is well (it's quite smooth and I think the performance is better than the other ported ROMs out there). I did note the issues reported in post #9 but see that you have a fix ready to upload. I'll wait until you post that up and flash it.

I am noticing that TMo Wifi calling is stuck in "Enabling" mode. Can you advise how to fix that? (maybe a config tweak?)

It is supported on my G6 port but you need to do an entire modification from hidden menu. Not worth me trying to write a tutorial guide on how to do it as is been so long working on that Rom I gave up making a flashable zip to fix it but no success that way. On my back up still work though
Thank you for all the hard work on this ROM. Quick question.
Phone works great but it information section about the phone it says Baseband Unknown. Phone works but anyway to fix this to show correct baseband version ?

no unless LG releases N to the US. dont worry we all have unknown
Thank you. I think i found a bug unless i'm not aware of it.
This rom won't recognize sdcard. Its asking to format it which i don't want to do, have lots of data on it. It won't recognize it (it works fine on 6.0 rom) unless it's formated. Any suggestions?
Also question
I think i see the answer. Base is v30b so it's based on lg g4 libs, not G6. I got confused with all this porting lingo. I'm hoping it's not G6 libs. I would want pure G4 code.

This has been happening off and on after upgrading Android for some time. It appears to be fairly common (universal?) when upgrading to Nougat. I don't think it's a characteristic of this ROM.
You need to copy the data from the sd card to a pc via a card reader, format the card in the phone, and copy the data back.
---------- Post added at 03:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:50 PM ----------
Thank you for your work on this. I have decided to keep my (LG repaired) G4 H811 for a while longer because nothing "better" seems worth the investment at the moment.
I have a couple of minor suggestions:
1) Let people know in the op that they need to flash GAPPS.
2) Warn them that it is very possible their SD will not be readable on first boot.
3) On my install, after Aroma had finished with the ROM it asked me if I wanted to install Busybox. I said, "Yes," but the "extraction" phase got stuck at 30% for some time before I removed the battery. Then the phone started with the upgraded OS uneventfully.

Ultimately I could not use this ROM on an unmodified T-Mobile H811, nor could I use any of the developer's variations on a H811 nougat port: the sd card problems persisted off and on and all of the ROMs had problems with 4G LTE data in New York City. Too bad.
Fortunately, for those who may be wondering it is possible to downgrade back to stock LG marshmallow. I would use the latest carrier version, which as of Nov 2017 is 20v. Flashable versions of it are available on XDA.
Ok i've been daily using this rom and besides things mentioned things are working ok.
Pros:
This stock rom is 2 times more smooth then 6.0. I'm assuming it's due to not having so much skin over android build which i love fluidity btw.
MM stock 6.0 was so sluggish. I love pure vanilla andoid experience but can't run those as need stock roms for most part and this one is stock and fluid like N roms.
Also available memory and it's management is way better as it has 700-400mb of more free ram then MM 6.0 stock. I run same apps.
Battery usage is also minimal while asleep, flat line, same as in LineageOS with interactive kernel. I use kernel-auditor-mod apk
Question regarding busy box. It seems it has custom busybox installed 1.26.2-osmOsis. Should this busy box be left alone as it helps in some custom features/settings or can it be updated if one has latest busybox. Don't wanna screw up fluidity of this rom so asking. Not sure if this custom busybox does something custom?
Issues:
No WiFi Calling - needs to be switched off in settings
No Volte - needs to be switched off in settings. It's on be default
Tethering currently not working - never use it as my plan is limited
Sd card recognition fails with sd card corrupted - didn't bother to fix it be format yet
Microphone Block app if anyone is using it it currently will block mic of phone conversations of this rom phone.apk so don't use it. Not a big deal but i thought i would mention it to help ppl out if some ppl are using it for privacy.
This wasn't an issue on MM nor on Nougat LineageOS so this is issue that either needs to be resolve by developer of that app or maybe within this rom excluding this app Microphone Block by BytePioneers from blocking phone.apk https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bettertomorrowapps.microphoneblockfree&hl=en
Seems like there is no traction with this rom as very limited posts i see here. Hope it won't die out as this is best rom sine LP 5.1 release. MM 6.0 was a flop IMO, kinda like windows Vista between release lol
downloading this. will flash it later today and report back if there are any issues apart from one in OP.
Thanks OP for getting stockish ROM for H811 with TMobile dropping the ball on us.
so far so good. haven't run into any issues so far.

The problem with all those issues is that this a modified Rom from other countries like Korea and or International variants where any of those features sadly dont work. Is a been a pain in the butt to port such features.
Has anyone tried the Titan kernel on this rom?
@TecknoFreak 20x came out for the H811, any plans to update v4 to it?

After Installer is finished, Uncheck reboot and flash Ashyx's Encryption Breaker.(May not be needed, kernel has disabled encryption, but ive never tried without it.) Reboot.
First run will take about 7 minutes.

Optional Revolution OS Addons, Mods, and Apps Collections By_Zonic
For J700TT1 Port
Warning
These are optional!!!!
Try these at your own risk. I cannot check each and every individual one to see if the work or not. As I receive info on them. Ill update this section. Make a backup 1st guys.
Instructions.
Files are aroma installer in flashable zip. Flash file from Twrp or flashing utility. Select addons you wish and follow instructions. I would do it after rom install before first boot. The way I would do it would be:
1. Install Rom
2. Twrp backup of System and Data.
3. Install Desired Addon.
4. Encryption Break.
5. Reboot.
That way if it dies you can restore with back to having the rom freshly installed.

Thanks again !

Ok just want to let you and anyone else know, that this ROM installs and runs PERFECT !! Has SuperUser and/or Magisk baked in also.
It is running very smooth and looks really cool. Once again you guys ( mr.duck254 and fullofHell ) have done an outstanding job.
A big thanks to Zoink also for building these great custom ROMs.
Cheers
PS. If anyone needs any help or have questions on installing this or updating your bootloader from MM6.0 to NN7.0 which btw needs to be done
first before you flash any of these 7.0 roms, Please feel free to send me a PM ... No question is to small .. I will help with anything I can. I reply to PM within 24 hours.
I also have a guide/walkthrough for the entire process that I can post soon ... just needs a little more formatting fixes until I can post it.
I installed this and it looks great, except for these "bezels" that run around the border. Any way to fix that?

Welcome. Enjoy
@fullofhell @mr.duck254 amazing work with this ROM guys I just put it in my phone and it looks and functions great.
I am having one issue though and that it the lock screen. When unlocking the phone it takes a solid 6 seconds to actually get into the phone. When using a PIN it takes several taps at the OK for it to unlock, if you only tap it once itll go back to black.
I'm wondering if I should switch to this ROM. I've been using WalkerBlue for the entire life of my J7. And it's really just to use sound mods like Viper. I'm really just wondering if I switch to this will I be able to install and use sound mods? WalkerBlue is quite dated now and it never was completely bug free so just need someone to comment and finalize my reasoning to switch!
I was also really hoping to some more kernels come out for this phone but at this point I'm just happy some devs are breathing life into this again ?

From what I have noticed it seems to be a nougat bug for our phone specifically. Every single nougat rom with our phone, including stock 7.1.1 and the 7.0 ROMs from international j7 ROMs have this little bug. Best advice @Kairosin is after typing pin, password,or pattern tap the recents key to speed it up a few seconds. Other option is to just tap the screen so it doesn't go black. I'm sorry that's all I got for you. It is a pain, but no real fix for it.

Whoa dude you are way outdated?.it was a great rom, but we have nougat 7.1.1 and 7.0 and about 6 ROMs. Inside those ROMs we have about 3 kernels.u can interchange them but this ROMs kernel is a beast and the best period. As long as u have a permissive kernel u can install any audio mod. I advise flashing zenOS, installing magisk via aroma and then one of the ahrion sound mods in magisk. Revolution is great but zenOS is the more amazing beefed up out of the ROMs. Did u ever update to stock nougat when it came out? U have to flash to the stock that your baseband says under about phone. Using Odin. Then u take a couple OVer the air updates and voila you are nougat.then u install TWRP again and flash one from the buffet of ROMs. This kernel will give u about a day and a half of battery btw.

Hi - Are you on NN 7.x.x or MM 6.x.x ? You must odin NN 7.x.x to use this ROM. Also be 100% sure you are using the NN version of TWRP.
Here is some good info on TWRP and the version that you need to use.

Hmmm -- Ok so you are able to boot to TWRP ok ( Power | Vol Up | Home Key ) .... So .... The locking to T-Mobile has nothing to do with it,
but are you saying it "was" locked and is now unlocked ?
As for the zip file being corrupt, did you run a MD5 check on it ? maybe a bad download. Check with MD5 to be sure it is ok.
Now if you can not mount /system then that is an issue we need to solve.
Have you tried to mount /system manually via twrp ? Also, be sure you did a full complete wipe including the data partition.
( the one were you have to type YES to continue. )
NOTE: Be SURE you are wiping the internal only . Your ROM file should be on your external SD card.
If all else fails, you might want to try all over. Odin flash the 7.1.1 stock build, then Odin flash TWRP, then either Odin flash the ROM or
flash the rom via TWRP.
Dont forget to flash the encryption file when/if you get a successful ROM install.
Try all that and if it still does not work, let us know exactly what is happening and I will try to help some more. It is VERY hard to brick
this phone, so don't worry to much yet. Just be sure NOT to mess with the boot partitions.
Good luck
Thibor
Ok well no reply in many days... I will not check back here anymore. I do hope you figured it out JeffKT.
