MMS gets a bit confusing to me when wanting to send group text messages...
I am using Textra on Verizon but regardless I have seen some apps default MMS to 1MB but should that be a smaller setting. To be on the safe side should I set that to 300 KB so I am sure I have no failed messages?
Additionally, how can I get around the SMS sending limit on Lollipop is I am rooted and using Xposed. Is there a way to increase the limit a bit higher?

bump for some help
Does anyone know how to increase the MMS size limit to 300kb? I was able to do this real easy with Nokias but I just cant find the menu in my sgs.
I've also tried setting the MMS creation mode to free but that doesnt seem to do anything about the message size (which i think is stuck at 60kb).
is there a way to send a higher quality photo or video on my phone? I have go sms but changing the mms size thing docent work.
AT&T network only supports 600kb size for MMS. You can get your phone to attach large size file but AT&T will only upload 600KB. you can use alternative texting apps like WhatsApp to send larger size pictures and videos.

i did use a alternate app but i was hoping for the full size image.
Hello there
I was trying to send a 15-second video via MMS but I kept getting this message:
"Message size limit reached. Sorry, you cannot attach this to your message."
I went into Settings and I realized that the maximum size limit is 300K. I then tried a third party application called Textra which lets you set the size limit to whatever you want, but it still said: "The attachment is too large. Review your MMS settings.".
I am pretty sure my provider allows larger than 300K but unfortunately my phone doesn't. Is there a way to change that? I am running TrickDroid 8.0 so I am, of course, rooted.
Any ideas or tips are much appreciated.
Thank you.
I'm on HTC One M7 and my MMS suddenly has a size limit of 300k.
I had issues with my messaging before which led me to reset to default settings...I think I might have erased the data as well...i'm not sure. Anyway, the time stamps on incoming messages were off by like 4 hours. After resetting and doing some other stuff they went back to normal but now my MMS limit is 300k.
I've looked in the default.xml file and my settings are set at 300k, 600k, and 2MB and if I read correctly 2MB is activated.
Can anyone help out?
