I have tried a Kit seen in these forums, where I follow directions but it doesn't actually download the stock firmware, only the CSS of the website (weird?).
I have also tried to download the stockfirmware and do it via RSDLite, but, the firmware is going to take over 2 hours to download from filefactory and I think thats just an incredibly long time for that to download. My internet speed can support WAY faster than that.
I have a Sprint Moto X by the way XT1056 on 4.4.4. And I just want to get to complete stock. Unlocked bootloader but not rooted anymore.
Can anyone help?
Wait for the stock firmware to download and flash it using RSD Lite.

Can you provide a link for it? Other than the above mentioned? It shouldn't take over two hours to download that file on my connection but I can't find another source.

There is a link to thread with some sources for SBF files in my signature.
Keep in mind, public file hosting sites like FileFactory, Mega, etc can sometimes be slow. The bottleneck is often at their end of the connection.

It shouldn't but what other choice do you have? Instead of waiting the 2 hours to let the download finish, you spent at least the past 5 days searching for a faster mirror instead. How much longer are you going to waste your time searching?

I was using the breakout rom but can't stand the lag while trying to view sites like google and youtube. Sometimes I have to wait up to 15 to 30 seconds for it just to begin loading.
I had already changed the kernel. That didn't help at all. It still lags. It is the phone or the rom I assume.
This is basically what I need but the download does not work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1129117&page=3
Does anyone have a stock or a backup I could use?. Or point me to one or a solution for this freezing problem?. Thanks.

Well the problem I had with those instructions was they say Download the top file listed above I hit The V8 link (V9 does not work) and after doing that there are 5 or 6 different files in the link and none of them are tot files, So I'm lost.
Any ideas?. Thanks.

iirc, v9 was split into 4/5 parts. Just grab all the parts and unpack them.

The zv9 tot posted here is still available, I think:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42067747&postcount=266
I know how to do all of this, but I can't do it without the stock firmware.:crying:
Here is the link to the forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/ref-complete-moto-x-guides-information-t2603358
I actually found tons of other forums too, but they all had the requirement of the stock firmware, and they all are pointing to the same link, to get the firmware.
Link: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0
But so, this website is down for some reason, and I need the stock firmware. If anyone has it and could upload it somewhere, that would be awesome. :good:

Flashing stock recovery back on your phone is the exact same process you took to flash a 3rd party recovery onto your phone, only using the stock Recovery.IMG file.
If you need instructions... then...
Link in my Signature has this info -> How To Return To stock Use option 2. If all you want is stock recovery, you can just do the mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img line and skip the rest if that is all you need.
OR....
If you are rooted and you can obtain the correct recovery.img and copy it to your phone, you can flash via your phone (without setting up Fastboot, etc on your PC) by following -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/ref-return-to-stock-recovery-rooted-t3027079 (this does have info on obtaining the stock recovery for your phone via your PC, you'll just need to copy the IMG file to the phone before you proceed.)
http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW809NS032ENA4D1C360LR7/VS98039A_05.kdz
Since you asked for it...
1.64 Gb, is that correct? Seems small. The last time I downloaded a kdz it was at least 2 Gb.
That does seem small. Maybe it's a mistake or a bad upload. I'll take a look.
Here is a mirror on my server in case its ever needed
VS98039A_05.kdz - 1676.2 Mb
Btw this kdz works great.I used it last night to great effect.I'm not sure why it's so much smaller.
Can't seem to find a working root method for VS980 Lollipop.

Yup. That method worked great. No other apk could do it on lollipop (kept saying i was already rooted but wasn't).

Depends how you flash it. There's one of two ways - wipes everything or only overwrites the actual system files w/o deleting storage files/settings.
Getting an error saying phone has been disconnected...? Anyone else get that?
Did the update OTA. But now can't root because it fails on the download mode step. Port is open and loads, but just sits there after the sh command. Figure it's related to kdz flash fail. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for this. I'm trying to restore my old G2 and the first link (like many other G2-related links) was dead.
I'm looking to find the official update zip (flash able through stock recovery) for that particular build.
Does anyone happen to have it, or know of a link to it? I've looked around and all the OTA zips I've found are too old.
Please around and thanks.

Well, better late than never. I am sure you found it by now. However, a quick search on duckduckgo.com with the terms "verizon stock firmware +s6 +edge" results in many possible sources. Feel free to add the build number you are looking for. Here is a site I trust (also happens to be the second search result next to xda-developers.com ).
http://www.galaxys6edgeupdate.com/galaxy-s6-edge-stock-firmware/
Scroll down almost halfway down the page (passing T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T) and there you have it.
Good to know. Thanks.

Thanks to the thread below, I was able to snoop around and found another source for you.

Yeah I might just need those Nougat fw files. I store a lot of stuff offline.
I know, double post, but my problem now is that I uploaded the ODIN PI2 package originally WITHOUT the HOME_CSC file. The original package came with both Home and Carrier CSC files. To complete the work, we need the HOME_CSC file for PI2, to upgrade from PH1.
And back in the day a few of my files from GDrive for the G925V got deleted because of others. A couple files I can't get back now because that was my last backup.
Some how I lost safestrap after rebooting my device and now it wont boot past the stock recovery. sammobile is going to take 3 hrs to download and was wondering if someone had the stock 7.1.1 odin files i could download off of. any help and advice will be much appreciated

Usually when I can't find something on Android File Host I just use sammobile but I start the download before I go to bed and it's usually done by the time I get up.. It's only when I have no other choice though..
