Add App to Games Hub - Windows Phone 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
Im currently developing a small and simple game with C# / XAML for WP8.1 Store App (winrt). Now my question is, how can i add my app to the Games (xbox) Hub? On Silverlight apps, there was a capability in the manifest file, but on Store App, i cant find anything similar.

Can nobody help to solve my problem?

Is the only way to achieve this, to submit the app as game with a game certificate?

.Jar games

is there any way to play the jar games from regular cell phones on the tilt? as far as i know these are java based games so do i just need a form of ppc java?
yes, most games have a mobile counter part that can be downloaded.
what you need is called a midlet manager if you want to run jar and jad games on your pda
Doesn't Midlet Manager come has pre installed software on your phone? It did with my mine
After I install a java midlet on my phone I can run it by going into the midlet manager and running it. My question is is there any way to make a regular icon to just run the game direct?

where can i get non-market games?

where can i get non-market games and is there a way we can convert iphone games to a g1?
As of now, there are very few non-market applications, as the market is the easiest way to distribute apps and games, with the exception of some experimental apps, and iPhone games have nothing in common codewise to Android games, it'd be like saying "can you get my xbox to run ps3 games", it's just not right, though there may be ports of similar games, there is no way to just convert them.
im going to have to disagree with the iphone comparison. very very few iphone games are coded in xcode (iphone native code). theyre almost all written in java and are reasonably easy to convert but it isnt automatic so only the developer can make the new app.
as proof, EA converted a few of the top games to android really fast including sim city, bejewlled, tetris and monopoly to name a few.
i wont bother to link them since they arent commercially available and i dont know if they are considered warez or not.
but to find games outside the app store, do a google search for games with files named with the android extension .apk

Downloading .apk via PC
I was wondering if there was a way that we could download .apk files via my web browser on my pc.
The reason for this is not having the patience to wait until I got home to use wifi(Since I don't have a data plan).... I am in school the majority of the time, and the Market downloads are blocked by the school administration.
Thanks in advance.
Try my signature it has tons of apk files in there uploaded to mediafire, if you need anything added pm me.
Non market apps can be also found on SlideME.org
Try SAM to see them all and download to install with ease.

Database management for android apps

Hi, I am making a test music store app for learning purposes. I am able to design the UI but I am not familiar with what happens on the server side. If I were to build a real life music store where people could upload their music and sell (like itunes but in small scale), where would I store the music uploaded by the creators? What kind of hosting I would have to choose and what kind of database management tool would be used? I need some basic idea on the topic. It would really helpful if someone could point in the right direction. Thanks!!
