Screen unresponsive afer being put to sleep - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The touch on my phone stops working if I put the phone to sleep and the only way to get it working again is to restart the phone and makes sure it doesn't go to sleep again. Any fix for this?

[Q] Problem with power

Hi all,
Someone can help me please...
My P970 got problem with power as below:
if the screen turns off for long time, the phone also turns off. And It cannot be turned on again. I have to take out the battery, wait a long time then put it back to turn on the phone. Not everytime I can turn it on. I dont know this problem is because of firmware or hardware. If I set the screen on never time out mode, the phone works perfectly without any problem.
Thanks
help me ......... please

Switch to Airport mode while talking?

Has anyone experienced suddenly going into airplane mode while making a phone call? It's happened more than a few times so I was wondering if anyone else has had that issue.

Was it dark? You probably turned it on with your ear.

That's a possibility but I'm trying to figure out what my face would've had to hit in order for me to hit it. Inside the call I have to somehow scroll down the notification bar and then hit the extended menu. Once there I have to hit airplane mode. I mean it's possible and it may have to do with that as I tend not to slather the phone to my face.

[Q] Battery died and now screen too dim

I have searched the forum, and Google and AndroidCentral and haven't been able to find a possible solution to my problem. I am hoping someone here can help.
Phone HTC Vivid
The battery died last week and every since then the screen is so dim I can barely see it. It will charge and hold a charge all day, everything else works fine, vibration works, I just cant see the screen unless in a dark room.
Never done anything to alter software. I did replace the LCD screen, digitizer and motherboard about 2 months ago. All has worked fine until the battery died.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Bump
Did you try to turn up the brightness in settings?

Yes that was the first thing I looked at. I really think it is a software issue since the phone works perfectly otherwise. Vibrations, calls, text, browser, apps, etc everything works. I would like to try doing a hard reset to return to factory settings to see if perhaps if it is a software issue this might correct it.
I don't know how to do this on an HTC so any help is appreciated.

Go into settings and look under storage i believe
You can boot into HBoot by completely turning off your phone holding the down volume button the pressing power at the same time then factory reset there.

[Q] Help! Trying to troubleshoot and hopefully solve problems with HTC One.

Hey guys, could anyone shed some light on what's wrong with my phone?
The initial problem was that it would display a notice that the phone was going to restart, the phone would turn off but not reboot.
When trying to turn the phone on immediately afterwards, it wouldn't turn on. The first thing I tried was seeing if that battery was dead but even when I plugged it in, it still wouldn't turn on nor was the charging light on.
After leaving it for a while, I tried a hard reset but the phone would turn off after 2 seconds in the boot menu. After a few hours and a lot of expended patience, I got the hard reset done and it worked flawlessly for around 30 minutes then turned off again.
Right now, when I turn it on, it shows the HTC screen, the backlight for the icons at the bottom flashes around 10 times and it turns off.
Any idea what's wrong?

Kinda sounds like your power button may be sticking in. Is the device bootloader unlocked and rooted? Or still stock?

The phone has been unlocked to be used with SIMs other than from AT&T but it hasn't been bootloader unlocked or rooted.

Ok I would recommend you check warranty to see if it is still covered. To try a software solution will mean unlocking the bootloader which will void warranty. And may not fix the problem. As I say it seems like the power button is stuck in.
When the capacitive buttons flash like that it is because of a forced reboot by holding in the power button.

Idol 4 shutting off after lock screen

Hi, I haven't found any thread about this problem. Something gone wrong. My Idol 4 shutting off itself, few seconds after pushing a power off button. Simply, when I want turn off the screen and lock the phone few sec. after device no waking up and it is power off. When I booted device again after clicking the multitask window I can see previous apps that were opened before. Soft and hard reset neither solve a problem. I also remove SD card and SIM card for sure but that also not working.
Any ideas? I would try to reflash the stock rom via Mobile Upgrade Q. Or last chance is back device to guaranty.
Sorry for my bad English :c
