[Q] Phone vs Watch Android Compatibility - LG G Watch R

Greetings All!
Strongly considering buying one of these watches.. That said, my Sprint LG G3 has not been updated to Lollipop and I'm unlikely to do so any time soon because of various apps and features that I like or need which aren't yet compatible.
Does the watch and the phone have to be on the same version of Android? Are there any issues mixing versions?
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers, Henri

No my G2 on 4.4.2 works well with my R on 5.0.2.
You can buy one

My Sprint Note Edge running 4.4.4 and this watch running 5.0.2 work find together.

question
any one know if it would work on an lg g pro 4.2.1? My phone is rooted and cant update

I think Android Wear is only compatible with 4.3 and above.

Advice on rooting 4.4.4 AT&T Note 3?

We'll currently I'm in the market to buy a phone I really want the note 3, plus I can afford it :/ wish I could afford note 4 but oh well, have more important stuff to buy, anyways if I bought a note 3 from AT&T would it come with 4.3 an I can root ? Or update to where I want like 4.4.2 an root? Or will the AT&T have to phone updated to latest 4.4.4? If it came with 4.4.4 could I root or would that matter on what kernal it's on?
I'm new to android world an wanting to learn been doin a lot research on note 3 but there not much info about 4.4.4 with a root for AT&T/ Verizon models, mostly every thing is 4.3 or 4.4.2 or other models (Such as T-mobile, Sprint, International models), but also what r the chances for a future root? Maybe 6month from now or a root with lollipop 5.0? Is it likely or not so much cause don't seem like no dev. Is working on 4.4.4 root for AT&T/ Verizon Model cause we know the bootloader is locked
With all that said would you still recommend Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or should I buy a different phone? Like iPhone 5S something within these two devices price range? :/
Anyways please message your thought or what do you think the best idea is?
all good
The Note 3 is so good anyway it ships I believe you will be very happy as is. I would root what ever you get and then put 5.0 on when it is out.

Moto G 2015 (8GB)

Does anyone have this combo to confirm it works or doesn't with Android Auto?
I have the 8GB Moto G (2015) and an Android Auto headunit, which was working great with a Nexus 5 until that phone died. When I plug in the Moto G, I get a message saying that the device is not compatible. Having a hard time believing that since it is a new phone running Android 5.1.1 and is pretty close to stock Android.
I have heard that others have it working with a 16GB model but not this specific variant, which is the only one available for me in Canada.

This is now an officially acknowledged known issue for Android Auto that Google is working with Motorola on.

lrx22.g920aucu2aof4 BUild root?

I have a Samsung galaxy S6 from Att and its completely stock. I hate all the crap they have pre loaded on it and I do not really like samsungs interface, I am looking for stock android experience.
I heard rumor that the latest samsung update was not rootable is this true? If not whats the best way to root this phone, and any rom suggestions?

No root for this build yet. No recent discussion on aosp development that I've seen for S6, but since it's exynos, it will likely be long in the future, and may never be stable if it happens.
If you want stock experience and root, you're probably better off getting rid of the ATT branded device with locked bootloader. At least get an unlocked S6 - or if non-samsung interface is really important, go nexus.
I'm thinking about jumping ship for the new Moto x, but it's really bigger than I want, so gotta handle one first before I commit.
There might be a clean, black pearl 128GB rooted ATT branded S6 on swappa soon...

International Urbane In UK

I've just purchased an international Urbane on Amazon uk for a decent price. Amazon have made it clear it has a 12 month warranty and they will replace or refund if there are issues, and I have that on a live chat transcript so they can't go back on that.
However, as someone who's never owned an LG Android device, I'm wondering if I'm going to have problems with this International model here in the UK? For example, will OTA work or any other form of updating without having to go via ADB? I've heard Wear 2 is coming to this watch, I'd hate to miss out if I can't get it installed here in the UK. Will my UK S7 Edge work with it ok, and will Android Wear installed on my phone from the UK play store work ok? If there are going to be issues I'll simply return it. It's due for delivery tomorrow so any advice on this will be appreciated.

I'm using the EU W200e variant with 3G not the LTE version, as far as updates go, everything is fine, OTA operates normally and frequencies are not an issue. I see no reason for the LTE variant to be any different, others are using it successfully.
Thanks. It's actually the 1st gen Urbane I've bought, so it has no cellular ability. But as long as it can be used in the UK and can be updated to Wear 2 when LG release the update, that's good enough for me.

is it possible to install am international note 5 room on an AT&T note 5?

hello everyone.
I got a gsm unlocked N-920A from AT&T and I'll be using it for other networks. I'm sure you all know how slow their rom is when it comes to updates. I plan on installing an international rom on it but I unfortunately lack the expertise to know if it will work.
google isn't much help here as it keeps showing other things.
if there's a way. what exactly would I need to do. and would it automatically update when the note 7 UX and nougat are released?
thank you for your time
