[Q] Stock Recovery for CID: SPCS_004 - Sprint HTC One (M8)

Hello, I have been searching for about 2 months trying to fix my issue and I have finally decided to give in and seek some assistance from this wonderful site.
Current Setup: HTC One m8 Harman Kardon, S-On, Unlocked Bootloader, CM11, TWRP 2.7.0.2 (Sprint)
End Game: S-Off, Running GPE Lollipop.
I believe I need to return my phone to stock in order to use Sunshine to S-Off and update my firmware so that GPE Radios will work. I have installed the stock Sense 6 ROM 4.4.4 (Wireless not working) but now am trying to install an OTA software update. (Currently on 3.30.654.2) From what I understand I need to install the stock HTC Recovery, however My CID is SPCS_004 and I can not find a recovery for that. Also, what is the process that I should follow when flashing stock recovery, Do I flash recovery and then install the OTA? Will I need to lock my bootloader? I am so turned around in this process that I don't really know what Direction to go in, any help is greatly appreciated.
tl;dr: I need a stock recovery for HTC One m8 Harman Kardon (CID SPCS_004) and can't find it anywhere.

I have finally figured it out!
For others having this issue that may stumble upon similar issues. I focused on returning my phone to stock.
Flash stock HTC Sense 6 4.4.4
Flashed stock recovery 4.16.401.10
I then locked my bootloader
Ran RUU 4.20.654.10
HTC then accepted and Ran the OTA
I am now on Sense 6 running 5.0.1 with stock recovery and a locked bootloader.
I will be making a back up (saving it to my google drive to avoid this issue in the future) and flashing GPE.
This can be closed if need be.

[Q] How do I know which stock recovery to flash?

Bell Canada HTC One, want to flash the stock recovery back so that i can get the Sense 6 update. Phone is rooted and unlocked with HTC dev but does not have S-off. been running into issues with hboot 1.56 in that regard and cant get S-off to work. Anyway. From what I gather the OTA update wont work without the stock recovery. How do I know which one to install

[Q] Stock 4.1.2 & hboot 1.44 - Should I get S-Off ???

Hey, I have an AT&T HTC one m7 running 4.1.2 and hboot 1.44
I was wondering which steps should I take to convert to a GPE in order to get an updated version of stock android (as I am not feeling very comfortable with HTC Sense).
Someone told me that I should do S-Off now and be happy ever after lol. Is it worth it??? If I have problems with camera tint, could I get it fixed or am I gonna have problems claiming the warranty?
1) What procedure should I use to do S-Off ??? I've seen like 3 different ones.
2) Doing S-Off also implies getting the bootloader unlocked right?
If you guys could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. Which guides I should follow to get from where I am, to a fully updated GPE phone?

1) The camera tint cannot be corrected unless you're on stock Sense firmware. Prior to S-OFF and a GPE ROM/firmware, the bootloader needs to be unlocked and phone must be rooted. Bootloader unlock and root voids warranty
2) First, unlock the bootloader. Then, flash a custom recovery and then, root. Then use Revone to S-OFF. HBOOT 1.44 is the least problematic, S-OFF is quite straightforward.
3) Yes, bootloader unlock is the first step towards S-OFF. It'll wipe the phone completely. So, make a backup first
Also note: To get the latest stock android build on your One, you have 2 options:
1) Complete conversion using an RUU. Link here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
2) Flash a GPE-based ROM in custom recovery (Eg, Skydragon, ARHD, SinLess, etc.)
A full conversion involves much more steps; a ROM is more straightforward. You'll the the exact same GPE experience on either
Thank you for clarifying the steps. Every phone is different, and I got very overwhelmed with the info on this forum.
I'll get started with the bootloader unlocking and rooting!

[Q] HTC ONE (M7) Can't install OTA or s-off/unlock

Hi all,
When I first got my M7, I unlocked it and installed TWRP to make backups. I had experience doing this with my sensation and followed the guides posted here. When the Sense 6 update came out, I wanted to update, so I was tried using REVONE to remove the TAMPERED and UNLOCKED but it set it to RELOCKED. Apparently, it wasn't compatible with the android version 4.4.2, which I realized too late.
Now, I'm trying to get S-OFF and unlock the bootloader so I can flash an 4.2 rom, then use REVONE and go back to stock. I've tried using nkk71's SuperGUIDE to returning 100% back to stock, but neither Firewater nor Rumrunner will work with my device (HBOOT 1.56) - they both finish early and tell me I'm out of luck.
What's the next possibility? I'm in Asia with the TW stock rom. I can probably bring it to the store and let them handle it, but it'll take up to 7 days to get it completely back to stock. Is there anything else I can try before doing that?
tl;dr: Phone is Stock ASIA TW rom & recovery, HBOOT 1.56, *TAMPERED*, *RELOCKED*, and *S-ON*. Can't flash OTA or get S-OFF with Firewater.
EDIT: Nevermind. Seem to have soft-bricked my phone while attempting to install ARHD. Now no OS and can't load anything except TWRP. ADB Sideload doesn't work, ADB push doesn't work. Guess I'll bring it to the store and see if they can fix it.

If it's not too late, I have been in this situation before. I bought an OTG cable and downloaded a stock ROM guru reset. From there, I successfully S-OFFed my device with HBOOT 1.56 using the firewater method.
Hope this helps

How come Android Revolution ROMs keep putting my phone into a bootloop? It makes my phone boot into TWRP Recovery. I have tried both Android Revolution HD 90.1 ( (Android 5.0.2 Lollipop + HTC Sense 6.0) and the stock HTC system dump (Android 5.0.2 + HTC Sense 6.0 | Latest: 7.15.401.1) without success. I just want to know why!
If you flash in twrp you need to flash the boot.img in fastboot in order to boot because your s-on. And also what you are running I believe are gsm based roms. In which case they will never boot.

ARHD is not compatible with Sprint.
By flashing it your partitions are messed up now.
You will need to RUU to fix and stay in the Sprint section when choosing a rom.

Yep says it several times in the OP.
I can't seem to get any other ROM to boot except CyanogenMod and LiquidSmooth. CM is completely stable while the latest version of LS is a bit buggy. They both absolutely refuse to acceept any APN settings. I am using Ting's service right now and I can't use it on these ROMs.... I tried flashing several stock Sprint ROMs for the HTC Onr M7 and none of them will boot. They'll boot if I flash the boot.img like someone here suggested but it doesn't help. It will go to the desktop, however, the screen is completely black. Is there anyway to flash a stock ROM properly? RUU's don't work either.

Thanks! I will definitely try this.
Sauprankul, I just want to say thank you for letting me know about that link. I was able to fully restore the stock ROM! Not only that, I was able to flash an updated firmware which was 6.16.651.2_firmware. And install the RUU.exe = “RUU_M7_WL_L50_SENSE60_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_6.16.651.2_Radio_1.01.20.1225_NV_SPCS_4.38_003_release_414036_signed_2” which updated me to Software Ver. 6.16.651.2, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop (which I’ve never had before because of TWRP) and HBOOT 1.60.0000! So now, I’m back better than ever thanks to you guys. /bow

My HTC One is CDMA (Sprint).
First try updating by going to Settings ---> About ---> Software Updates. If that doesn't work try the following:
This Lollipop update process is ONLY for the Sprint HTC One M7.
First flash the firmware via Fastboot: 6.16.651.2_firmware.zip >>> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934523626
And then install the RUU for 6.16.651.2 via Bootloader RUU Menu:
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_..._NV_SPCS_4.38_003_release_414036_signed_2.exe
If you don't know how to do these things, then you shouldn't attempt to. You could end up hard-bricking your phone.

Thanks a lot.
Your phone is for sprint as it says m7wls you can use gsm service perhaps since you say its unlocked meaning Sim unlock always look for Roms that are m7spr or M7wls based I also suggest s-off so you don't have any complications with flashing

It has been a little bit difficult to S-off my HTC, since it has Hboot 1.57. So far I've tried Revone and Rum Runner without success.
Firewater seems to be down and I'm tempted to pay for SunShine, but I'm not really sure about paying for an application that might not work.
My HTC originally came with Android 4.4.2 and I got a notification to upgrade to lollipop via OTA, but I was suggested to make a backup just in case. So I had to root my phone, unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP in order to get my system backup, but due to the previous procedures I can no longer upgrade to lollipop.
Right now all I want is to follow my original plan by installing a stock rom and try to update to lollipop via OTA.
You kindly suggested me to s-off my cellphone, but I've seen some videos on youtube in which they install stock roms with s-on:

I'm counfused, I thought that both (firmware and RUU.zip), should be flashed via fastboot. Am I missing something?
Thank you in advance.
Never mind guys
Finally I upgraded my HTC to Lollipop.
I freaked out because it didn't boot up after flashing RUU.zip
I decided to go out for dinner and come back and try as many times as needed. Fortunately I realized that I misspelled the command fastboot reboot-bootloader I had forgotten to type the hyphen. Then I reinstalled the drivers, rebooted my pc, tried another usb port and used the RUU.exe. Now my HTC M7 seems to be working perfectly
Thank you very much guys.

M8 HK lollipop 5.0.1 downgrade to 4.4.4

Another user posted that they were able to use sunshine with a lower software, but you can't run an RUU to do it. You will still have to unlock the bootloader, and install a custom recovery. BACKUP your working ROM. (NANDROID). You can then flash a stock 4.4.4 ROM and see if you can run Sunshine.
That being said, I can't see why that theory hasn't been tested. The Sunshine devs are working on an update and it will work with Lollipop. It should be here soon if you want to wait it out.
Also, s-off is not required to install custom roms or kernels or run official RUU for the version you are on or above but is to run any Update Utility to downgrade..
Someone else can chime in and post whether or not they have had success with running a stock 4.4.4 and if they had success with Sunshine. In the meantime, it would not hurt to try it out and post back.
(I do not remember if a locked bootloader is required for Sunshine, if it is you might want to wait for the update) I would suggest against flashing a stock 4.4.4 and locking the bootloader.
You cannot downgrade via RUU while S-on. You can flash a ROM with an older software version but you won't be able to downgrade firmware. You'll need to wait for version 3.0 of Sunshine to be released before you S-off.
