Your model is a d400, d400h or d400hn?. I have the same problem with the wifi

If going back to stock it is still the same after a factory reset (deletes all data, backup first) and with different routes then it's a hardware issue, no matter what model you have.

My sollution
My problem was an update and restore the last version lol

[Q] Wi-Fi To 3G

Hi,
Got a really annoying issue with my Nexus One that has been happening since the Froyo days, when I leave home to go to work I turn the Wi-Fi off on my phone to save battery. Sometimes I use the widget sometimes I go through the settings.
The problem is that the 3G doesn't alway's kick in, the only way for me to get 3G working is to turn my phone off and on which always works.
Any suggestions on why this is happening and how to resolve them?
I am running Stock Ginger Bread on my Nexus One on the the Vodafone network in the UK.
Try checking your signal strength: *#*#4636#*#*
You can try to enable 3G only and see if you can keep a signal.
My signal is sometimes intermittent due to topography. Stupid flat Ohio. Haha

Thanks, it won't be that though because once I turn the phone off then back on it's there. Also once I turn W-Fi off and 3G doesn't kick in, then it won't do untill I restart. Also another reason why I know this isn't the case is because even when I do this at work 3G doesn't kick in and there is a Vodafone 3G mast on the roof
never seen this problem before, but it sounds like something that might have to be fixed by doing a full wipe and reflashing your ROM. i know its drastic, so maybe do a nand backup first. then flash and see if the problem remains. if its still there, than just go right back to your backup and no harm and nothing lost. worth a shot.

I'm on a stock Nexus One unrooted so I shouldn't have to Root to fix an Android problem. Never Rooted before but considering it.
I got the exact same problem with Froyo and Gingerbread ROMs, can't remember if I had that issue with MIUI ROMs, but definitely with CyanogenMod ROMs.
Instead of rebooting the phone I suggest switching flight mode on/off it's faster than a full reboot
Haven't found any real solution yet and always thought I'm teh only one with that problem as I couldn't find any other person with that issue. Right now I'm testing different Radio/ROM combination and if that doesn't work I'll need to check if any app is causing the problem.
Any chance you are using Tasker?

I used to use Tasker but uninstalled it when I thought that it was causing this, it wasn't. Thanks for the tip about airplane mode, worked a treat.

[Q] My IncS completely disconnects, often!

First of all, let me start of what I've tried doing, in order.
New SIM-card, factory reset, unlock + root, custom ICS (VirtousQuattro).
None of the above solved my problem, it still persists! The problem is, the phone disconnects completely from the network (no bars) and I can't manually search for a new provider due "active package transmission" or something like that, it stays disconnected for 1-3 minutes and then reconnects. It happens fairly often, like once for every 5 times I try using the phone. I haven't noticed the problem when being connected to a WiFi, so I'd assume the problem is related to an issue between the phone and the network.
Has anybody else had this problem? Any idea how to solve it?
Have you tried flashing a new Radio? I can't see how that would differ from flashing a custom ROM, but might be worth a shot?

I haven't tried that, I might in a couple of days if nobody has any other solution though.. I've had the problem for a couple of weeks so I'm kind of used to it!

So much for being "unlocked". Also, hey mate
Yes Naforcee, I have exactly the same problem. And it never happens while using wifi as you said.
It started immediately after I updated to Sense 3 / Android 2.3.5 from HTC.
What was the version of Android in your previous Rom? I had issues when I was on Froyo and went to Gingerbread without flashing a new radio.

I had 2.3.5 earlier, so that'd be GB. Same problems with ICS now though =/

Don't think it's a physical problem, I have perfect connection and it just dies out for about 2 min until it reconnects, and I can't search for network when it's down due to active packet transfer..
Could try a new SIM card. Might not fix it, but worth a shot - I've seen this posted as a fix for other people.
I used to have this problem on certain radios on the Desire Z, after flashing around a bunch of radios to try all of them. Stuck with one and it went away, so it was software for me.

New SIM was my first try to fix it, it didn't work.. I guess radio is the only solution left!

I was sick and tired of these problems, and then i made s-off, rooted and isntalled custom ROM and changed Radio 20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M and now everything is good

Try flashing this radio http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471861 using the ADB method. If that doesn't help I recommend doing a full wipe and reinstalling the ROM. There are a lot of different custom ROMs for IncS which can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136463
I personally like Niks ROM and Android Revolution HD.
Looks like rom installation issue.
My son's Inc-S having a similar problem to the OP, but more severe. A couple of weeks ago he entered airplane mode with all behaving normally, but since exiting airplane mode at the end of the flight he hasn't been able to register on the network (voice or data). We've tried:
fiddling with all the network settings
change sims (all sims work on my Inc2, none work on his IncS)
cleaning the antenna connections
reboot
factory reset
flashing new ROM (Android Revolution HD 2.3.0)
flashing new radio (3805.10.03.29_M)
So far, no satisfaction. We're still seeing no bars of reception (with an X) in the notification area, and don't have the option to manually or automatically register with any network operator (although several occasionally show up as options under "Search Networks"). We usually get the error message, "Unable to search for network while packet connection is active" when trying to select a network. Funny thing is, mobile network data has been shut off on his phone for the past month so the packet connection is definitely not active (wifi is on). Based on a network signal analyzer app, the phone is receiving the same mobile network signal as mine (-65 to -70 db) when they are side-by-side, so the problem does not appear to be in the antenna. The phone works just fine using wifi but is useless as a phone.
Any ideas about what to try next?

Probably a RIL-Radio communication issue. Recommended radio is the newer 3822.01.08.14_M radio, so maybe you should try that.

Nexus One drops data signal, reboot required

Here's the situation: For about a month now I've been having issues with my data not working on my N1. Presently, I'm on Paranoid Android ROM, but have tried fixing the situation by flashing SpazeDawg, experiencing the same issue. My phone shows bars, and cycles between H, 3G, and E depending on where I am, but it's faded out, not blue; like it's not connecting. I do have voice and texting, however. I flashed the new Korean radio months and months ago, but I tried flashing back to 5.08.00.04, with no change in result. I've tried resetting the APNs to default, which after a reboot fixes the problem temporarily. I've run out of ideas on how to fix this, or isolate the problem. I'd rather not get rid of my N1, but the more I work on it, I'm beginning to think it is a hardware issue. Tried a new sim card, too! Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
I've been having similar problems ever since switching to ICS so I think it's just inherent. I've found that toggling data off and on again fixes the issue most of the time. So it's quicker solution than rebooting but still not ideal. Hopefully a fix appears but in the mean time I'm willing to live with it. For what it's worth, I've found Evervolv to be the most stable in terms of lost connection but YMMV...

No one can call me - 4.3 roms Telstra

I swear 4.3 has ruined my reception in Australia no matter what modem I use. No one can ever call me (sometimes they can) Says my phone is off. Sometimes I try call out and just get beeps. Then it works, sometimes not. All sms works fine though. Anyone else have this?? I've even bought a new sim and tried 4 different 4.3 roms clean installed with different Modems (telstra)
Anyone?

Check if you have the correct IMEI on the phone.
If not, this could be a problem related to EFS v1 and v2.
Try flashing a modem (separately, not entire ROM).
Checked I had right IMEI and akso troed restoring my backup incase. Have trried wiping and flahing multiple Tmodems still just as bad!!

looked through all that, everything is fine from what ive checked.
maybe i now have Efsv2 and there are no efsv1 4.3 modems for Australia.
but why no one else have this issue!

Still no luck?
I'm on TPG's network (optus) and was using the 4.3 sammy roms from "the galaxy project". The signal seemed fine and was getting signal fine with the stock modem.
Did you end up flashing an updated modem? Give us a bit more info so we can try to reproduce the issue?
I've tried flashing many modems. and cleanly flashing 4.3 roms (aliance, rxtreme, acma). But after a while issue just comes back..I try ringing my mobile from work phone n it just goes straight to voice mail as all friends tell me. But Sometimes not. Seems to me almost like a deep sleep issue.
If I'm using phone (screen on) it will mostly be fine cause its awake but if I've had it closed sleeping for a while it just doesn't wake to answer calls. And issue seems to get progressively worse after clean room installed (few days). It's really really bothering me. I don't want to have to roll back to 4.1 as never had then

This is probably a long shot but you could try reflashing pre-rooted 4.1 rom via the download mode.
Or try a different kernel. I've found that the Boeffla ports from HBOHD are relatively issue free.
You could also check the pmsleep option in your rom/in the build.prop tweaks file under system and disable it?

GPS + Data issues

Hello all, I have an XT1063 (Global, single sim) running Lollipop (5.0.2). When I first bought it, it came with Kitkat and everything was working perfectly. I was in the insider program so I got to test drive Lollipop earlier than most people, which was nice and didn't really mess anything up the first few builds. The last build, however, changed that. This is the currently available build to everyone, since the beta program is over. Anyway, the problem is that my GPS will not lock on to satellites, making all map/traffic apps completely useless. As if this wasn't enough, the phone often drops my data connection (H+) and when switching from WiFi to celular data, it can take upwards of 5 minutes to get a data signal.
Could this be a problem with the modem fimwares? What are my options? I've thought about going back to stock, even reset everything from the settings menu once (didn't revert to stock kitkat, just factory settings on Lollipop.) If I absolutely have to go back to stock kitkat, how would I do it?
Any and all help would be much appreciated!

Lollipop has a lot of issues... I have ****ty GPS lock too, but maybe that's because of my region.
I can agree with you on the frequent network drops though... Sadly, i have no solution for that, except to re-save the apn until you get the data working.
However, for the WiFi - cellular data switching, switch on "Aggressive Wi-Fi to Cellular Handover" in Developer Options.... It kinda solves my problem. (Still takes a minute for my data to work)

There are a couple of them in the development section... But I suggest before you downgrade, why not backup your data and factory reset in lollipop itself? See if your problems continue or not... You'll be wiping data anyways when you are downgrading.

I did perform a factory reset earlier today, but the problems persisted, so I've now downgraded to 4.4.4 and will be on the lookout for these issues for a few days before updating again.

That's cool. And you won't find any issues either... KitKat is rock solid stable.
Lollipop buggy. kitkat stable.
