Hi guys.
I am in need of a developer for Android to build a simple app that quickly scans radio stations.
Either FM or Internet stations is fine, whatever is easiest.
This is for Ghost Hunting.
Please help me!

Do you have a particular device in mind? Most phones these days don't have FM radios any more. (how I miss my HTC G2)

Does anyone know how to stream Sirius Satellite Radio on the Tytn II?? I know there are solutions that work with WM5, but has anyone tried and tested a working solution for WM6 streaming?? Thanks!
This works for Sirius on Kaiser

Thanks for the link to the cab file. Tried several different versions of the program but never could get it to work until i found this one.
Help and Details for Sirius
http://www.geekstoolbox.com/
I downloaded and installed the cab file and when I try to play a channel it keeps asking me for a code. How does one get a code? I do have Sirius in my car and have been a subscriber for 2 years.

Did you register a "listen online" account with them? You need to do that if you haven't.

How is that? I was thinking about getting it.
I actually just moved my comment to here:

It is asking nearly the same question but not for Satellite radio, so if you are looking to stream INTERNET radio them my pointers are on that thread.
sorry for the brief confusion.
btw, is there a way to entirely delete a post you have made?
does it require internet access?
isn't there an XM radio application of some sort on the ATT Tilt ?

Yes, but I believe they charge you to use it (whether you are an XM subscriber or not)

Yes, I could never figure out how to activate my existing account with this program, and I am not surprised that AT&T would charge extra for this. In addition, they lock you into the 25 most popular channels available, and none that I would listen to (I get enough 20 on 20 when my daughter's are in the car, and it's the same songs over and over and over and over.......)
Duh!!! I subscribe to listen to music besides the Clear Channel blandness, not 6 remix's of Justin Timberlake. Why is this so hard for marketers to figure out???
Par for the course with AT&T offering a bunch of dumbed down crapola that you have to pay extra for. As I've said before, seems like they go out of their way to inconvenience their customers.

nice find, i am going to try this out immediately
I only have XM, not a Sirius account. When I went into the settings and setup my XM account and tried to load channels it told me I needed to setup my account information still. So I went in and checked the Guest account for Sirius and my XM info was still in there, then when I tried to load channels it just sat there and didn't do anything.
I'm using WiFi for my internet.
I can't get any channels to load on my ATT Fuze. Has anyone gotten them to load, and if so can they post the XML channel file from their device so i can try just loading that?
most of the time the cause is an incorrect username or password. check the forum in the link and they have a number of discussions on how to fix the problems your having.
It's working great for me! The only let down is the ad in the background the whole time
i am using a fuze with romeos, and when i connect through WLAN at home i am able to hear sound and get album art. When i am on just cell network, the channels load, and the album art loads and changes as the songs apparently change, but i do not get any sound. I have confirmed that my phone isn't on mute or anything. does anyone have any ideas?
i am asking this question at geekstoolbox too, but am posting here b/c this site deals with my exact phone.
thanks!
Kudos man, this app rocks. I just picked up my Touch Pro (Telus) today, and combined with this app, amazing.
Thanks much.
Don't they have a free account?
So how much is the subscription?
edit: I successfully log into the account and wow is a great program... they even have lyrics on radio
It's funny, I'm listening to two playmate talking about economy on playboy channel. Just wish that they have a TV on this channel.
awseome find. Thank you
I have no ads on mine, but one let down for me is that all the channels arent there.

Chiming in here...have the same problem. Works over WLAN but not 3G. Did you have any luck fixing it?
no i haven't fixed it yet, and i can't seem to get any attention from anyone either, i live with Sirius radio so i am very interested in getting this fixed
LOVE this application...using it on the fuze on 3G...no problems...
I wasn't able to get the Sirius channels to update. I was able to work around it by installing the windows version on my pc and copying the sirius.xml file over to my phone. I am able to listen to everything fine over 3g now.
hey guys i did was wondering if this would be possible. Is there any way to answer intercom or page someone over windows mobile device? I need program like that so bad and i cant find nothing close. Thanks for your time.
Can you elaborate a little .... "answer intercom or page someone"????
What are you trying to do?
I guess you want it to work as a walkie-talkie?

at&t's version of this is the Push to Talk. Costs extra.
Other than that I suppose you could try and setup Skype on your phone, but that's not really walky-talk type stuff. But it avoids voice charges.
may not be what you're after but i was playing with parlingo yesterday specifically the voice chat and when i sent a "voice note" to my buddy it played the message without him doing anything. now we already had a chat session opened (didn't try without it being started)
It's possible

If you've got a bluetooth-enabled intercom, it's possible. You could do it with a wire as well.
As for paging someone, you could text them.
If you want a walkie-talkie style device, there's a program out there (I forget it's name, but found it using Google) that lets you do this using the WiFi connection on your phone. Works okay even with full-duplex voice communications.
If you give us some more information on what you want to achieve, I'm sure we'll be able to help more.

4Talk is the one that I was referring to earlier. Thanks for pointing me back at it!
It'll work over infrastructure or ad-hoc wifi networks, so with a bit of configuration you can get it to work just like a walkie-talkie.
See the top of the page, its the answer from the developer, well can we do anything to help him?
-------->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059296&page=594 ,sorry forgot to post the link.
As u can see if we can help him then we could have fm for cm10.1 hopefully.
Anyone,i know u want fm on cm10.1 too.

Here's a thread for the P990, where somebody figured out which ALSA audio controls need to be set, and I've incorporated those settings: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2177766
And "sudden36's" alsa_amixer script for that phone is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38831550&postcount=8
Beware though that finding a way to enable FM audio, as difficult as it may be, is often just a small part of the work required to make sure everything from ringing to audio notifications to headset jack removals all work OK.
BTW, is there another FM thread for P970 ? I thought I saw some other effort, but it's hard to keep track of the multiple P9xx threads.
So can anyone write here if t worked for u?
Hi ppl,
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I've already googled a lot and found nothing about. I've a Slingbox Solo, and I need to program it to recognize a remote from my new Internet+TV+VOIP provider, Vodafone Portugal. I wasn't able to find nothing on the web until now.
But, I was able to program the HTC One TV app to read the remotes and control the set op boxes
Now I have to find a way to convert the ir_data that I've found on a SQLite file on the phone to a JP1 format that Slingbox recognizes.
Does anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me with this? I will be very, very happy
Regards,
Zé

There is a nice forum here I'm sure you can find your answer in. This question is a little off-topic here.
