How to re-activate - Samsung Galaxy Gear

My Gear V700 used for a few months, when I re-charge it, it cannot be charge even overnight.
The charging animation only flash a second when I plug the power cord, sometimes even no response.
Is there anyone can help me, is the charger or the battery dead?
Some one told me, needed go back to samsung to re-activate the gear.
Thanks

I have the same problem, in Samsung say that logic board is damage. I try all methods on YouTube and nothing.
Anyone with news.

unfortunately, you are incorrect, i just used a 24v power supply and charged the internal battery, 2 slots from the battery, that is where i inserted the Positive and Negative Cables
The Simple answer the battery is drained of its power, CHARGE IT!!!!!

I had the same problem. Try to charge your watch 1 day long(24 hours), then use your PC USB to charge your watch over night. Then you have full charged and full working Gear Watch. Sorry for my bad English...

How long does it take your Tab to charge from about 0-20% to 100%?

I'm not completely sure, but 16 hours seems to be too much to me. I usually charge over night, so i guess it might be something around 8 hours.

I think so too!
I just wonder what is causing this... (1) some faulty chip in the tab itself, (2) faulty battery, (3) faulty Samsung cord or (4) faulty charger. No way to find out for sure, unless I return it to the shop and wait about 30 days (at best) while they figure that out and give their verdict
I hope someone has\had this problem and knows what exactly was causing it.

the last 5% take forever. That's usual behaviour for charging. Check out how long it takes to charge to 90% or maybe 95%. Should not take longer than 6 hours. If it does then maybe try a different charger or reset your tab to make sure it's no software bug.
Hard to tell the real source of error, sorry...
Are you ABSOLUTELY certain to be using the original, for your tab, charger, with a 2 amp output.
With such charger, it should be about 4 - 4.5 hours.
But if you are using a generic, or something made for an avg phone, with .5A output... Well 16h seems normal

I am using Samsung banded charger that came with the Tab.
Sometimes it does charge fast, but most of the time it either charges very slow, as though it were charging from USB, or doesn't recognize the charger, or even says it's established MTP-connection...
from 8 to 10 hours on hc 3.2
but now on ICS take less
using the charger that came with the tab, you should get charging times around the 4/5 hours. HC 3.1 and 3.2.

Does the cable work properly when you use it for USB operations (file transfer, etc.)?
If so, then maybe the charger is broken/faulty. Samsung (in its infinite wisdom ) put a resistor network in their chargers so that the tab/phone can recognize a charger vs a usb connection ... or maybe just to make money from over-engineered accessories. who knows? However, if that resistor network has failed (or the cable is broken, hence the question above about USB operations) then the charger will present as a USB port rather than as a Samsung power source.
Oh! Another data point to consider: does gently wiggling/straightening the cable when it's connected cause the behavior to change?

There isn't much difference with ICS 4.0.4 US rom in my opinion. And it is still picky what chargers it accepts when it's turned on (DX.COM charger works for me). I usually turn the TAB off and use a stronger charger, but it still takes a LONG time to charge in my opinion. I do an overnight charge as much as I can.
Did an overnight charge with the Tab turned off, and it charged to 100%, finally. But when it's on (even in airplane mode) it only charged to 60% last night (took 12 hours!).
Weird)
i always charging my tab from 0 or 2-5% to 100% either when powered on or off and it always takes 5 to 5 1/2 hours. no more and no less with default charger set.
first i thought it was taking too long but when i saw this thread i'm glad its only 5 hours

Common belief (knowledge) is that this is not the best for a lithium ion battery... It increases the wear, gets it to lose capacity sooner... If possible, charge your battery often, like as soon as you can below 75%. Only occasionally drop battery to 0%. IIRC, there's a good website called "battery university" talking about that

Thanks, used your post to fix mine. I ended up replacing the cable and not the charger. I'm using an original charger with a new cable now.
I am seeing same problem with my brother's 7300 tab as well. Its taking around 10 or more hrs to charge.
Anybody got tablet replaced in warranty for the same reason? Even with Nexus 7 original 2 A charger its taking too much time. With samsung original charger also it was taking similar time so i am sure problem is with the tab only.
4-5 hours on mine.

Many Galaxy tab 8.9 owners have reported experiencing long charge times to the tune of about 16 hours, me included.
Solution:
Plug in the charger to the tab very very slowly. The charge icon in the system tray has a lightning symbol on it aka normal charge.
Connecting it at normal speed results to the charging icon in the system tray having a cross on it. It then charges very very slowly.
Why should we need gymnastics to normally charge our tablets? Ask Samsung.

[Q] Battery dying?

Since a few days ago, battery charging on my P990 takes ages and it doesn't even charge up to 100 percent. I always leave my phone plugged over night but since this has started to happen, the battery only charges up to 80 percent maximum.
At first I thought it was kernel-related (Pengus' latest experimental version that's not supported for ICS), but after flashing a proper one (CivZ SithLord) and even reflashing the ROM (civato's Flex-Icer 4.5) with a full wipe nothing changed.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Does this mean that my battery is about to drop dead or it might be somehow software related?

Thanky you for your reply. In the meantime, I've managed to resolve the problem. It was my charger's cable that caused all of this. Its plug is damaged so I simply replaced it with a new one, but before finding that out I had already bought a replacement battery and a wall charger. Nevermind, these spare parts will be useful.

Fast Charge.

Is there a setting I need to enter to get the fast charge rate to turn on? I am charging the Note5 and its rate is at 425 mA with the screen off. My Note 3 Charges at 1800 mA with the screen off. I've switched outlets to see if it would help, but no.
How's everyone else's charge rate?
It's automatically as long as you using the Samsung original fast charger... Also check how long the full charge take.. Should be maximum 90 minutes

Try switching the charging cable with another. When I got my Note 4 I had a similar issue due to the cable.
Try turning your charger around in the wall. With my s6, it won't fast charge if the polarity is backwards.
Very true. I had some aftermarket much longer white cables, and they are SLOW. I just changed by Tab S to a shorter black cable that probably came with a charger I got, and it is charging normally. Odd that a cable can be slow, but it can.
I did not use it yet. How can i understand its charging first ?

Galaxy Note 8 stop charging at 80% !!!???

I recently purchased a Note 8 but I notice that the phone only charge up to 80%.
When the battery is charged up to 80%, the red/orange led notification indicating the charging process turned off. I had to unplug and replug the charger multiple times but the battery only jumped up to 83~85%. Is this normal or is the battery defective?
Everytime, I unplugged and replugged the charger. The charging symbol & led notification showed up for about 30~35 sec and then it stopped charging.
Does anyone have the same problem like this?

Check the bootloader screen. Usually this restriction is placed when the phone has been rooted. Maybe your phone was a customer exchange, which if that were the case I would be very pissed off.
Either way, if you haven't interfered with it in any way then it warrants a replacement.
--
Have you tried re-calibrating the battery?
Maybe try draining the battery till it dies, then turn on phone until it dies again.
Finally charge it to full whilst switched off (i.e. notification light turns green)
This used to happen to me sometimes with an extended battery on the Note 4, where the fix was to remove the battery and replace it (obviously not possible here)
Sounds rooted to me. That's the only thing I have seen here at XDA that causes 80% battery . I would send it back right away, don't even try to screw with it. Samsung sent you somebody else's problem.

Read my reply again! I said maybe he was sent a customer exchange. It happened to me once (not direct from Samsung but from a very well known and normally reputable online store.
I sent my phone back to Samsung service center to fix the charging problem. They replaced some components on the mainboard that cause this problem. However, when I received the phone, I performed some tests to check if the problem still persists.
After I received the phone back, my phone was able to charge itself up to 96-97% and then it stopped charging. I had to unplug and replug the wired charger to get my phone up to 100%. So I don't know this is because of the software/firmware from phone or not !!
Then, I used the phone for a couple days and when the phone was about at 25% battery, the battery drained so fast. In about 10-15 min after 25%, the phone turned off.
I let the phone off and charged the phone again, but again, the phone could not be fully charged. It stopped at 96% again!!! Does anyone have the same problem?

I have the same problem.
some of this is caused by samsung's rightful fear that their batteries will explode. there are many complaints online about how slowly the note 8 charges. mine does some weird stuff while charging sometimes, and i am chocking it up to restrictions sammy has put in place to prevent another disaster. sometimes mine will only charge to like 87%, but if i unplug/plug in again it will finish charging. i think it also tries to charge around your charging/usage patterns as well. i suspect there is a way to turn off this feature.
I am getting the same issue. I have had my phone for for over a year now with no issues. And just a couple weeks ago I started having these issues. And no, I have not Rooted my phone, for all the people who suggested rooted.
Was there ever a fix for this?
