OTA Lollipop Error - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any idea what this error means? Something about youtube apk which I'm not aware of being installed after factory reset.

You have a missing file that the OTA was attempting to update. If you have unlocked your phone in the past it will sometimes delete those files. Search for the files and install them, then try the OTA again.

Do you mean search for youtube.apk on the web and put it in the system/app folder?
Thanks.

Anybody?

2 problems with your image, your phone doesnt look stock, you must be 100% stock to update, not rooted, no modifications, no missing stock apps, 2nd problem looks like your using the wrong stock recovery, but I could be wrong about this one.
only solution, do you have a stock backup you can restore ? as there is no RUU or files I can find for your phone.

This in fact is a stock backup from previous OTA, nothing has changed. I have been doing it this way for the last three updates and never had an issue.
Stock recovery image was extracted form this update maybe I'll try the previous version If I can find it.

http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15 has the latest KDZs, but without knowing your region...
Maybe someone has the one you need - I've only got the UK v10H as a backup.
the V20B is the only one i can load.
Before a while there were all fws files listed.

As I said ... without knowing your region nobody is going to be able to help you. The files were pulled a long time ago.

No, of course not. If you want an unlocked bootloader then you must, surely, be wanting to install a Custom ROM? So, why would you want to roll back to v10H?
some said its most stable but im back on JB now

Sprint 4.4.4 Soak

So I'm part of the 4.4.4 soak for Sprint. I have the file, but it wants me to have stock recovery to install. I'm currently running stock ROM, rooted, with the latest version of TWRP.
Is there any way for me to edit the update zip so it'll run on TWRP, or do I have to go back to stock recovery?
I will upload the file to Dropbox if anyone wants to play around with it.
Questions go in q&a section. But to answer your question you need to flash your stock recovery if you want to take OTA.

I would like it so I can build a flashable.
To be 100% safe.... I would reflash the current firmware you are on. It will put it back to 100% stock, and keep your bootloader unlocked if it already is. Problem with modifying scripts is that it takes FOREVER and can cause more harm then good. There are so many file checksums in the stock installer-script. Much easier IMO to flash back to 100% stock. Just save all everything off your SD so you can reinstall most things later, as you will lose everything when you flash back to stock.
I typically follow THIS procedure, it's super simple.
I would like him to have it too..

yes it protects avast from being wiped with a factory reset by making it a system app, but a simple /system wipe from custom recovery, flashing a new rom or flash a ruu will remove it.
its useful if the person that find/steal your phone is not an experienced user but it can be erased easily by everyone here on xda.
however im using it myself, its a nice app, used it maybe 1 or 2 time to find that I left my phone at my job.
yeah...most users just knows about "factory reset" and thats it...
oh yeah..thanks for the tip !

How to change from CM12 to AOSP?

New here, rooted, switched from stock to CM. I just wanted to try out AOSP to see which one I like more. Is it just flashfire the AOSP ROM?

Yup. Just add a wipe action (system/dalvik/cache; data optional) *before* the flash action.
Does anyone know if the AOSP will work on 5.3.1.? Up above it says it is only for 5.0.1.

At present all custom ROMs for this device are compatible with all versions of FireOS v5 (specifically stock bootloader/kernel) released to date (5.0.0-5.3.2).
Some versions of FireOS are not currently rootable hence the rollback/upgrade dance. But that has nothing to do with ROM compatibility.
Great. One more question, is there a way to make a system backup? I don't have any files on it but reinstalling apps took a while..

Existing apps/data will remain if you do not wipe user/data partition. Really only need to wipe system and dalvik partitions when switching between custom ROMs leveraging the same base level of Android.. all ROMs for this device.
And me being the idiot I am, I forgot my pattern. Unless I guess it, I'll have to factory reset and root it again...

Can't update apps from Play Store.

Hi everyone.
I bought a second-hand ROG Phone 2 on eBay. It was already on WW ROM and WW fingerprint. I wanted to update to Android 10, so I upgrade from ROM 1906 to ROM 1910.64 and then I updated to 2002.32. I updated by placing the .zip file in the phone's root and rebooting. I then relocked the bootloader.
I could update apps before installing the Android updates, but when I now go into the Play Store, it says there are no updates for any apps. But when I open an app like Facebook, it says I need to update it in order to use it. When I went back into the HW Info app, I see there is one line where it says CN, instead of WW as it did previously. Is this perhaps the problem? What can I do?

Yeah, my device info is the same yet I can still update from playstore so it's not that. Not sure what to suggest on afraid. Strange. Have you got lots of data or have you only just installed everything. Maybe a factory reset if the flash went bad some how...

I did do a factory reset and the problem remains.
Okay, I have no idea how, but after switching the phone on this morning, it's suddenly started working. So strange.
