Make sure you're using the factory charger and test it against another device to ensure it can charge something. I've ran into this with my Nexus 7 after a complete battery drain and charging it from a computer for 15 minutes and then turning it on seems to work. Even the Nexus support pages recommend this. Give those things a try. Make sure everything is fully plugged in too.
I am using factory charger and tried with 10 different chargers just green led shows up for exactly 60 SEC's and being dim and led turns off the phone doesn't charged even connected to PC even I tried charging powerbank still no luck

Plug it in and leave it plugged in overnight. Be patient.
No use brother

There was a thing with BlackBerry playbooks doing this, the solution was 'stack charging'. Plug it in, wait for the green light to dim then switch the power off and then back on again. Repeat several times and then leave it to charge normally (but dont try to boot it) for a few hours
Tried all the possible ways I think battery is dead

Yesterday my phone shutted because my battery, I connected to my car and charged a while, I got out from charging and using 2-3 minutes more and battery died again. When I got home I connected it to AC power and powered on, It was working without problem. I left my phone maybe 1 hour charging and when I took it again it was dead: screen dead, no life signal, just the led blinking slowly when connected to power (either AC and USB)...tried to take off battery but nothing. Today I connected it to PC and windows has recognized it but cannot identify it (on the PC the classic USB device not recognized error with yellow triangle on top) and the led is always blinking.
Any idea? should I have to buy a new phone?
thanks
Sounds like your battery is dead. Try replacing your battery

Do you think is a battery problem? phone should boot even without a battery when connected to power...or not?

Try Running some POST tests. As in, Power off your device and wait for few seconds. Then Press and hold your power key and your volume down key. You should be able to access your Bootloader. (If you have Rooted your device, you could access your recovery and clear the battery stats although your device's condition seems peculiar/critical). Its worth a shot If you ask me.
I have already tried it but nothing, cleared dalvik and battery stats..I cannot understand whats going on. Now phone is working again but it cannot maintain battery, I mean I kept it in charge all the night but when I power on the phone it shuts down just when it starts android (thats strange because I went to a store yestarday and tried a new battery but it didn't worked, when got home I tried to power on it again and it started)...this is driving me crazy!!
edit: I turned it on, plugged in AC charger and phone after some minutes told me that (I don't remember the exact message) power needed by the phone is more than the charger could provide...
edit2: now it is on and it is charging (USB) and it doesn't charge more than 21%...really strange
Odd that this hasn't been mentioned but perhaps try a different usb cable? Different port? Seems obvious but you never know. Cables can deteriorate.

I have tried 3 different cables and 2 different computers...same result. I have flashed a new ROM, plugged in for charging and now is stuck on 15% battery (5 minutes aga was 16%, it discharges while plugged in).
Ok maybe here is a solutions:

What do you think about?
Hi !
So my nexus 7 is not charging anymore... 3 days ago I took it outside ( it was -20°C in Montreal) and tried to use it but it did not start ( I think the battery went off because of the cold).
When I went back home I plugged it to the AC charger but nothing happened. I checked on several forums ans finally succeeded in booting the tablet. But the as soon as the tablet is on, it displays the message that the tablet is shutting down. I can see that the battery is empty and it is like the tablet is not plugged to the charger(the icon displays a red exclamation point instead of the charging indicator)
When the tablet is off and I plugged it to the charger it displays the charging icon for a 10 seconds and then it disappears. During those few seconds I can launch the boot loader. I tryed to shut it down, de plug and re plug the charger. The charging icon appears and then disappears again after a few...
Any advice on this one ? I don't think the tablet is totally dead but I don't find the way to make it charge again.
Thanks a lot,
Guillaume

Does the charger get warm at all when you plug it in? Not that that's necessary but curious. Try charging on a different charger. Perhaps a local BB or similar would let you try plugging in in lieu of buying one. But trying a different charger/cord would be my first step.
Usually it's heat and not cold that devices hate.
HTH
Have you plugged it into a computer and left it that way for a few hours?
Did you tried pressing Power button for 30 seconds ?? It worked for some people, I was not even able to turn on my nexus 7 when its reached to my hands, i was so unlucky, today i given it to Asus service centre as its has international warranty, i lives in india & bought from US, they working on it,hoping for best.
You might have to take the back off and check the battery connector, some people have had them come loose.

These things are freezer tested and they work. Worst comes to absolute worst complete battery replacement is not that difficult if you are out of warranty. I remember reading that in the disassembly notes.

ok my phone was on 14% so i stuck it in the charger . now the phone has totally turned off and wont turn on again . its plugged in and still flashing orange
sometimes this phone has gone from 8/9% to 1% or even turn itself off within seconds
anyone had this or seen anything like this
The fact that the led is blinking is a good sign. Let it charge for a few hours and retry.

Hi,
My Xperia T was fine one morning, next time I took it out of my pocket about 2 hours after my last look at it, it was really hot, and it failed to respond to any buttons. I tried the force restart and everything. The battery was at around 40% at my last successful check.
As it wouldn't respond I was obviously forced to leave it alone as I was in work and couldn't plug it into any computers as I didn't have the USB cable with me. About 3 hours later the phone had gone cold, presumably the battery had died?
When I got home, I plugged it into the wall charger and nothing happened. Even the charging LED wouldn't come on.
24 hours later I plugged it into the charger again, and now the charging LED comes on instantly, (where as there was normally a bit of a delay I believe???) only to experience it turning off again 2 minutes later. A further 2 minutes later and the light comes on again and this process repeats. It still doesn't respond to any buttons or combination of buttons.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Josh
Let it charge at least overnight and then try to boot again

Hey guys,
My HTC One won't charge, I left this morning and it had 100% charge,
was on the train, used it the whole time.
I hooked it up to my powerbank since it was running low and I needed to guide a friend when I stopped.
I noticed it wasn't charging, I thought it was the cable. I hooked it up to my Kindle since it uses the same port, and it starts charging.
Luckily I have another charger that is a wall charger, I get to my friends place and I follow some instructions I found (charge for 10 minutes on the wall, afterwards while the device is off press Power and Volume UP and DOWN for 2 minutes), still no go.
The phone has completly ran out of charge, I have it trying to charge on the wall at the moment, the LED is ON red for about 20 seconds, the battery symbol is displayed as charging for 20 seconds, then it turns off and repeats the process.
When I was trying to charge the phone the whole time before this, the LED was NOT ON. Apart from this morning when I took it off charge.
What can I do?
Shameless bump.
Anyone?
Does the charge port on the phone have a burning smell at all? Mine burnt out and I had to send it in for repair.
