I'm just wondering if I can use the original 2.3.6 version with cwm and ungaze script.
Will it ran well?
Is there any OC Kernel for the original 2.3.6?

I think that you can not use that script w stock rom buddy

Gingerbread overclock

It is possible to edit the kernel so that you can overclock processor for gingerbread stock rom? Someone can do this? I apologize for my English if I made a mistake.

I know you can with CM7 and Custom ROMS... I'd like to know if any of the overclock kernels would work on a stock rom.

It is possible since godell already made one for 2.3.6. But I think developers for our mini are concentrating on higher versions of GB and with CM7 as well. so it would be difficult to request this on 2.3.4.

[Q] BackLight Notification vs. Kernel vs. ROM

hey guys!
I'm just wondering about the relationship among theese three beast..xD
for example, I've ICS Stunner and I tried to flash another kernel supposed to have BLN support..awesome! well..stuck at kernel logo..conclusion? happy wiping and reflashing (we are flashaholic, aren't we?! ). so I realized that kernel and rom must be compatible.
have someone managed to get BLN working on Stunner?

The only problem we have here is we dont have options in kernels that work on ICS. On GB roms we have fanco abyss etc kernels that support the rom and BLN app for notifications. That's why we normally use the abyss 3.9 kernel in recovery in ICS roms whenever we want to flash anything in recovery or revert to GB.
And as per i know there isn't any kernel that suppport ICS and also support BLN notifications.

Has anyone heard of any new kernel that will work with the jb roms?
I'd like to be able to use apps I cannot with P hilZ's

There is only one philz kernel compatible with tw jb roms
And i guess it doesnt support bln

You can try this kernel, doesn't support BLN but it's safe even with JB...

yes.. i can confirm it wont work TW JB.. tried it my rom wont boot at all.. :silly:
