u can try "set orientation" app by Eyes-free project from play store. it work fine with me.
I downloaded Utimate Rotation app. But when i set portrait it will portrait anything, even camera and games. Ill try yours
Thank you. It's not good as i want but better than ultimate rotation.
I set default setting, it portrait like normal, but when i open a fullscreen apps like camera or games, it turn on landscape as default rotation, so i set back to portrait then default.
Viewing webs and facebook is ok, still landscape event on magnetic charging.

When sending pics as mms or posting to facebook with the fb app, it is not possible to torture them if needed. Am I correct?

buzz too ...
So we are stuck without a solution? Does handcent solve this for mms?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
yeah, that fixed landscape upload thing, annoys the hell out of me, too.
Is there a "bug" thread about this ovewr at Google Code somewhere?
You have to crop it before, then you will be able to upload in landscape
Of course, will lose quality, but it's the easy solution so far
Yeah, what about editing (rotating) the photo in an application like PicSay or that mobile Photoshop... then upload/send to facebook/mms?
Anyone going a solution to this? I tried Tweetdeck, but the same problem there. Any other app that can solve this?
Does anybody know if this annoying quirk has been fixed in GB on the NS?
EDIT: Actually I found a work around: Install PicSay and export to Facebook or MMS from inside that app and it will kepp the correct mode (landscape/portrait). Not a 100% fix, but doable!
Hi,
As you know that the Facebook App in Xperia V is having a bug whereby you upload a photo in Portrait mode but it appear to be in Landscape mode after uploading to Facebook.
Do you all use any other Replacement Facebook App like FriendCaster etc or just stick with the default Facebook app?
I like to hear your recommendation, thanks.
That's not really a facebook issue. It's an android issue i think. Try copying the pictures on your computer and looking and the thumbnails. You'll see what I mean.

Sony support knows about this issue already, hope they fix it with next update.
FriendCaster is buggy on my V, even if I hide games from people they show up in the widget, otherwise very good.
So, I got used to take pictures in landscape mode now and its nice or just rotate them with the desktop Facebook.

Thanks for your reply. You are right that FriendsCaster is buggy as I encounter a few times that it actually crash when I open the app.

I turned on STAMINA MODE and went to the "white list" menu to search for apps to be always awake. And I encountered an app called "Retail demo"
Is it normal For it to be there?

Yes, this is normal! Isn't a demo device! Tranquil
To activate the 'Retail Demo' (just a rolling video, played at point of sale), go to the phone menu, and type: *#*#73556673#*#* (that's *#*#sellmore#*#*)
It works on all Xperia devices.
To disable it (unless you want that video playing all the time your phone's idle!) repeat the same procedure.

If I rrmember correctly first time I docked my phone, it asked me what app do I want to run at dock. And default app was sense me library. Dunno why you did choose tunein in the first place. There should be dock setting which you could change it I guess

I find a solution to this problem
Just set the event in Sony Smart Connect as show in attach screenshot and it will stop Tune In Radio or any other apps from launching automatic when connected to the charging dock.
I have this same problem too. It launches 500PX. I have no Tunein radio installed in my phone.
Mine launches Tune In also. I never selected it in the dock menu but it starts up every time.
It seems to be a problem with the way Android handles the startup of dock apps according to TuneIn...see this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208666
Had the same problem.
Emailed TuneIn and this is their reply.
Ended up just uninstalling the app.
Was giving me wake/sleep problems when I charged my phone...
Hello,
Thanks for contacting us. One of the features of the Android OS is that an application can be automatically started as soon as the device is plugged into a dock. If you have multiple applications that support this feature, you will be given an option to select which one you'd like to always start. If you only have one application (e.g. TuneIn) that supports this feature, it will automatically start when you connect to the dock.
We at TuneIn cannot allow control over this feature once we've enabled it's use. Other listeners have informed us that there are 3rd party applications available for Android devices that allow you to have finer control over this feature of the Android OS.
Sincerely,
Michelle

"Dock No Op" from Play Store works for me.
Also tried "Invisible Dock" but it gives me a splash screen which I don't like.
Sorry newbie, can't post links..
You can disable this by going to the smart connect menu and rechoosing what you want at startup when you dock your phone... Or simply have it do nothing. Good luck!
Vince
Turn off the charging dock from smart connect.

What did you try by yourself? Did you even checked the settings of the Camera app? You can play with the settings and flash is one of them
