My bro have a Galaxy Note 4 N910T variant phone
His phone is sim Unlocked, and we can use any mobile network on it.
N910T have Snapdragon 805 Chip,
My Question is that Can we flash firmware in N910T, of other variant of Note 4 that have same Snapdragon 805 Chip ?
Other note 4 have 5.0.1 update so can we flash that firmware in N910T, if that firmware is based on Snapdragon 805 Chip ?
Is any one try to do that ?

I have asked that question some time ago, and the answer is no, different antennas AFAIK.
And I think Odin wont even let you continue flashing a firmware from different model.

Strange if this is true
Because i am using Sony From last Three years and we can do that in Sony without any problem !
only if we are Sim Unlocked.
Thanks for your reply, and sad news for my Bro

That is also the reason why I asked that question lol.
I previously own a Z2, and I flashed a firmware from a different variant without problems, even got OTA from the new firmware XD

Did you get anywhere with this? I have an unlock SM-N920A and want to update to Marshmallow
So N920A or N920T unlocked version work without problem in EU? But, how about custom roms, because I see what developer works for F/I/C/L/K/S/G models, A and T less interest.
I looking to buy note 5 from USA (because C models in EU 1.5-2 times expensive).

so you had problem with OTA, but after everything OK? because, I will root phone. What about GSM frequencies, 3G 4G works good? Did you tried custom roms? Did you have any problems?
Thanks for answer.
AT&T phones will have severe problems with ota updates. You must connect to the AT&T network to receive OTA. Odin firmware cannot download. Updates are useless unless you are on AT&T

I have the Note 5 running on Firmware N920CXXU2BPE4 which I see comes from Russsia!! I understand that the Note 5 SM-N920C is a variant of the International version and was therefore wondering if I could flash other MM firmwares such as the Australian one N920IDVU2BPE3?
Thanks

You can't Odin flash firmwares for other models. You can use their custom roms but not their Odin firmware.
Does that mean I can't flash firmware for the N920i and only flash firmware meant for the N920C?
Thanks

Yes, that's correct.
Plenty of roms' support the 920I variant. It's probably the 2-3rd most popular variant next to C, T.
hi, sorry if I did not have to write correctly. I wanted to know what kind of difference is there between the 9 korean version notes, the processor? has limitations, less functions, different startup logo etc. if you can list all the differences. thank you

the korean N960N has the same specs as the Fs.
so its a exynos chip and not a snapdragon.
this is my second Korean Note and have been extremely pleased.
no visual issues like some have reported on ither device.
Just flawless.
concerning logo( carrier stuff there are 3 or 4 carries in Korea so you are likely to get one of those.)
since i have rooted mine, i have rebranded csc to my sims carrier.
usually they ship region unlocked. When i buy from wondamobile,
seals is broken but it is probably to remove the lock. they make a 5 minute call to lift it.
these phones don't have the oem unlock vanishing issue either.
the Korean version has no snapdragon. Does the Samsung logo appear on the ignition? but do you need to change them to work with your operator? but does it have any restrictions with respect to others?

if i remember correctly, before i rooted and modified phone, it did have that carrier logo. but phone worked fine regardless. LTE and such was all working. Yes some carrier bloat in korean but that was to be expected. I root my phones so that was not an issue.
right now running Dr. ketan rom on canadian Rogers csc and all us working fine.
but does it also work in other regions? are there any preinstalled apps? Ke stock European firmware, not Korean can you flash?

like any rooted device OTA will stop working. you will have to manualy downlaod firmwares to keep it up to date.
right now Pies official build has arrived for N960N devices for 1 or 2 weeks now.

Should be good. Past W models of the Canadian snapdragon are identical hardware wise to the USA U models.

Someone to help me. My S10+ is canadian, SM-975W unlocked from Fido. I was moved to US and can use phone with T- mobile. Because of my staying in US will be undefined, i will like reflash my phone and change from G975W to G975U (csc to US). I want to use fridja but no sure which firmware to download to keep my phone unlocked with the csc for US. Can anyone help on this side? Thank u
Cross flashing firmwares will brick your phone from what I have read here in the forums.

W to U should be fine as there identical phones. When you sayn cross flashing firmwareI believe you mean Snapdragoon to Exynos Samsung phones not Snapdragon to Snapdragon or Canadian W to US U
The specs for both models are same including CPU but 960F (Asia) support DUAL sim whereas Korea only SINGLE sim.
If I odin 960F to my Korea model phone, will it still work? or probably freeze on E.g. Settings when I click Sim 2?
How about the Samsung Pay?
If firmware 960F can work, can I use Samsung Pay in Asia? or they are some in-built mechanism E.g. Knox that will prevent this?
Same question. I have a SCV38 - Japanese KDI/AU Galaxy S9. I have only Android 9, but there are a bunch of US Snapdragon Galaxy S9 based on Android 10. Can I flash this (US firm on JP phone)? I just want to get to Android 10. I have a feeling that wont work, and I checked for the S8 - US and JP phones, altough based on QC chipset had other hardware differences...
Anyway, appreciate any advice on the matter.
Do you have solution? I have same problem

As long as the specs are the same you can flash any region rom. You will just have to try it yourself and see if both sims work. Google pay shouldn't have any problems. The only problem you might have is some roms have different baseband files so you might not get network connection if it's not right for your region.

Make sure in download mode you don't have RMM prenormal if you flash Android 10 and it's prenormal you will never be able to get rid of it.
