Gear and note 2 stock - Samsung Galaxy Gear

I've problems after the update of gear and gear manager.
Version of gear manager 2.2.15022599
Version of gear pda V700XXUCOA2 csc V700OXACOA2
Before the last updates, my gear perfectly works with my note2. After these last updates, I've got some problems, I've tried to restore the factory settings, but now I'm stopped at the pairing step.
From the gear side, the password between it and the phone appears, I click ok, but the pairing step doesn't continue; from the gear manager side, after the ok of the same password, the app close itself, and I can't enter in my gear options no more. So I'm blocked, I' can't use the gear, I've tried to restore, soft and hard reset, but I can't go over the pairing step. What I can do?
Please help me

I don't know how, but i go over the pairing step, when there is the connection between phone and gear. But in a moment the connection stopped, and a message says "no connection. Please use samsung gear and refer to the manual".
How is it possible?

Galaxy Gear Samsung apps will not install, stuck at "installing"

Every galaxy gear app is stuck at installing. The watch and phone are working fine together other than that. Non-Gear samsung apps install fine.
Anyone else having problems installing Gear Apps from Samsung apps?
This is on a stock note 3 stock gear. Installing eventually times out actually installing nothing. But then the samsung apps thinks it's been installed. Now I have 10 apps or so that are not on the gear that the app store thinks are downloaded and cant remove. Any help out there?
I have power cycled the phone and the gear. I have disconnected the Gear and added it back as a new gear.
Bump am I the only one with problems?

Had the same problem... when trying to install from Note III phone the Galaxy Gear Watch, the Samsung Note III phone software got stuck/hung. Also, calls out originating from the watch were not performing correctly. Lastly, I could not use the Samsung App store as it would show an error saying something along the lines of not being logged in to access apps or some such. Only remedy seems to be to wipe the Note 3 and watch and start over again. Here is what I did:
Backup everything to Kies 3 (though other methods should be ok I assume).
Reset Note III and watch back to factory.
After reboot I made sure the phone/watch interface worked. Verifying this, then restored phone using Kies 3.
Of course there is always a bit more work than this, as the Phone's home screen/sub-screens layout need to be redone and other bits needs to be manually changed back to your preferences. Also, some of your e-mail account may need to be re-entered/reconfig as they were deleted and not restored. Took me ~60 min and now everything, including sideloading with Wondershare MobileGo, works great.
Same here although I am using a gs4. Everything works fine but I can't install new apps I am using 4.2.2 I figured that might have something to do with it so I'll wait until 4.3 and go from there.

me too. s4 first i was on 4.22 and couldn't instaal anything on the gear, then upgraded to 4.3 rooted it, but the problem is still there - can't install anything on the watch. even svoice wouldn't work
Samsung apps
After some tests I think that the problem is located in the Samsung apps itself.
Since we (may be all of us) have custom ROM, Samsung apps is not correctly installed or is in a older version. Remove the actualization of the Samsung apps in the app manager and restart the phone.
After that open again the samsung apps and it will install actualizations.
Some force closes after that open the gear manager and you will be able to install apps to the watch.
Seem confusing but worked for me. Already in tall ever note and line after that.

Contacts and Call Logs

Anyone getting the Contacts and Call logs to sync between the two devices. Every time i try i get "Unable to refresh this application. Bluetooth has been disconnected". I then get the option to connect or press "ok". I press either and nothing happens.
Another thing, On the Note3, in the bluetooth settings under paired devices. If i view the properties of the Gear, the "profiles" only list Call audio. Is this correct?
Weird...as i was typing this, i got my first Calendar notification. LOL (I though nothing was working)
I'm getting that too after upgrade the Gear Mgr.
I need to do RESET GEAR, and then pair again with Note 3 only can get back logs & contacts.
It's very messy coz need to setup everything and reload all apps again.

Galaxy Gear and S4

Hey Guys,
I've got a S4, and I'm currently running the MJ5 4.3 Official firmware (Germany, also tried to root and got knox 0x1 :crying.
I have got the gear manager and watch styler installed. However, I have a few problems.
Firstly. Whenever I try to download any apps from Samsung Apps, they just hang on install. Doesn't complete, even though the application is installed and I can launch it.
Secondly, When I run apps like Watch Styler, I can run them, on the phone, but they do not interact with the gear at all.
Finally, Whenever I disconnect the gear (turn it off, go out of range), Gear manager comes up with the following error:
"Warning!
Failed to install the Geap app. The connection to your mobile device has been lost. The Gear app will be installed when connected to the mobile device."
I've tried install the gear app from the Samsung Store and also a few of the .apk's on xda. Still no luck.
Is anyone having the same problem or can help me out!?

[Q] Can't get Gear Live to connect / stay connected

So I've got a new Samsung Gear Live from the Play Store. I'm attempting to pair the device to a Nexus 5 running stock 4.4.4.
When I turn on the Gear Live I'm prompted with selecting a language. I choose English US. Then i'm taken to the "Install Android Wear on your phone" Screen
At first this screen would show me the text "Gear Live 4AFV" (or something along those lines). However 9/10 (after rebooting or resetting the watch) it will simply show me "Gear Live" no 4 digit name.
Without the 4 digits showing the phone will not detect the bluetooth device to connect. On the off chance that it does show up and the phone is able to detect the watch, the pairing process can either work, or stall leaving both devices sitting at a "wait a moment while pairing" screen that never ends.
Lastly, if everything works and i'm able to pair the watch and phone. it will randomly disconnect and nothing I do will make it reconnect to one another.
Other things to note. Bluetooth has no issues on my phone with any other device.
I've reset the watch numerous times,
I've uninstalled the Android Wear app as well as any other watchfaces or launchers.
I've factory reset the phone.
Suffice it to say i'm almost certain there is a problem with the watch, the question is has anyone else experience this or anything similar with a Reset hasn't fixed the problem and is there possibly a solution to this problem that isn't a replacement.
Google has offered to replace the watch but I want to ensure I"m not missing something here.
thanks for any assistance in advance.

I have the same connection issue but not until I updated it to Android version 5.0 that I started to get connection issues and the gear live was constantly doing a sync loop and it would not stay connected or send SMS messages.

[Q] Help Please help, about to lose it.

I have had my galaxy gear 2 paired and working with my nexus 5. No issues other than wanting to install some of the other tizen stuff.
Anyway, today my phone upgraded to lollipop. After that, any attempt to open gear manager was getting a "Unfortunately, gear manager has stopped". I've tried so much. I tried the newest gear manager I could find: 1.7.031004. It keeps crashing as soon as you try to open it. I've rebooted my phone a ton of times, I've reset my watch back to defaults. If I uninstall that and attempt gear manager 1.6.111801. The bluetooth will connect to my watch but the gear manager keeps failing. I've tried a few other older visions of gear manager with no luck.
Does anyone have anything I can try to fix this? Ha, damn this is really upsetting me that samsung didn't just make this damn watch open to all phones.
Good luck with that. Honestly. Samsung is slow to update gear manager. It's probably not compatible with the Android L framework yet. When I got the Note 4, I couldn't access settings. It crashed every time.
I emailed Samsung about my displeasure and they told me I just had to wait until an update came out to fix it. Go figure. I am sure it will be compatible soon. :good:
