I just noticed this myself. Is it a 5.1 thing?
No because I'm on 5.0.1

Pocketcasts is the only one worth using.
Pocketcasts, even more so when they drop their 5.0 update, I hear they are working on it now...
I have only ever used BeyondPod, and I don't have any major complaints.

Thanks. I've been looking for a good Podcast app, and saw a video review on YouTube for Pocket Cast....and I'm sold.
I have used doggcatcher for quite awhile now and like it a lot. They have a free version that works great, though I eventually purchased the full version.
I like being able to add a virtual folder that allows my to drop mp3s or whatever in a folder and it treats them like a podcast.
I'd try other ones out as well, but it would have to have that custom/virtual podcast ability for my own files.
I am running a unencrypted nexus 6 and am having camera issues. All the camera apps I used the viewfinder is a little large and seems to be running at a low frame rate. Can anyone help me?
How do you get rid of the mode and filmstrip buttons in upper left?

Is that the stock camera app? I don't have that on mine. I'm running Rastapop, unencrypted and lean kernel.
Yes stock. Rooted. Unlocked

you've got some 3p app causing issues. those buttons are not part of the lollipop nexus camera. closest i could find was someone having a similar issue on his note 3 here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3/424543-how-remove-help.html
That turned out to be the case here. 3rd party app caused it. Thanks.

You don't use task managers in Android.
Just my point of view:

You don't need a task manager. The phone has enough ram and if you really must need a app to hibernate, look into using the greenify app.

I've just noticed particularly the Facebook app has really drained my battery if I let it run in the background

I can confirm these results. I uninstalled the app and just use mobile site. Try Greenify, it will work for this issue too.

Says the guy wanting to use task managers. Seriously, if the app is the issue why would you hunt for a work around? Get rid of the problem don't hide it.

I believe there is more to this than some of you are recognizing. I have a question. Go look in your battery menu and look at the apps using the most battery. Does it show each app keeping the mobile radio active? If so because i'm reading on reddit along with my personal experience. Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Facebook, Chrome, Play Music are doing that. No one seems to know why yet either. Tell me what you find out.

That's never been identified until lollipop, there's no way to know it's any different now than it ever has been.

Well its pretty obvious for me. Ive never seen these apps really sot at the top other than google play services for a gps wakelock. But these apps are inconsistently at the top but when they are, they keep the mobile radio active for hours when screen on time might be a 1/4 of that.
Well then. Try app called Battery Doctor. It will let you see what's draining your battery and let you selectively close the ones you want to.

So you could run TouchWiz when you felt like it and aosp when you felt like it without having to flash.

BAD ASS NOTE 4
So I noticed the CM12 thread went away. Anyone know why? Either way thought it would be good to have one open for CM12.1, since the nightlies have moved onto that now anyway.
Has anyone flashed CM12.1 yet? Do we have any known issues to report? Do we have any FAQs to share?
Thanks!
