for sure,i wish it was one or the other,it would be dope to have a 3.10 kernel and 64 bit chip, but 32 bit is easier to work with

Not at this stage. I went in and downloaded the file, it ran through a couple tests and then told me it can't work on my device. I'll give it another try in a week or so.
In the meantime I just use fastboot to flash recoveries and kernels. I haven't had an issue yet doing it that way

Can this be made to not have the tampered at the top of the bootloader screen?

You have to reset the flag to get that to go away. But it shouldn't say Tampered anymore. See should say Dip_Spit.

May i inquire how to reset the flag? I ended up with tampered as well. Desire 510 64 bit w/ thedreamer kernel

anyway can do without sunshine ????

Now that we have s-off what can we do with it?

I know there's a ton of things we can do with s-off like different ruu's and supercid but what else?
I'm an HTC noob and there are others like me, so for us, tell us what we can do and how to do it
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Lots. Major stuff:
-change CID
-remove red text on splash screen
-custom splash screens
-downgrade firmware
How do you change the red text? That's a big annoyance to me
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Also a question from a noob. What benefit is there for being able to do those sorts of things since we can already flash the same roms onto multiple versions of hardware (except for sprint)?

normal users don't know what are the differences but S-OFF will give the devs a lot more space to develop and play on.
and most important, we can **** HTC warranty

If your looking to remove Tampered then you need to read the thread a bit more as you can re-run the process but with a command
that has -t on the end...
I've already done that.

They're talking about the red "This is for developmental purposes only... etc etc etc" on the white HTC splash screen when you first boot the phone.
Im on ATT HTC One, Once i'm on super CID, can i flash any RUU to my liking?
Hint - I plan to flash Dev edition RUU on it.

[Answerd] S-OFF ???

Ive been looking around for s-off instructions and all im finding is Moonshine. Is this the only method available? Thanks

I mean no offense by this but if you need a one click method, then maybe s-off isn't for you. There are plenty of maybes that come with s-off. With revone all it takes is a few commands in terminal emulator. Takes about 3 minutes.

You assume too much. I have no problem flashing and what not. I originally rooted my Evo with the original root methods. That took 45 minutes. I knew/know the risks associated.
The reason I am waiting for the 1 click is that is a refined process, meaning they have all or the majority of the bugs worked out. I could honestly care less about brioking my phone. My insurance plan gives me a new phone whenever I want with no deductible...I just don't want to go through the process. By the time 1 click is ready, the development community will have progressed to the point where most ROMs are fully functioning. At this point, flashing would be for flashing sake. I am past that point.
We probably won't have a one click.
How can we all help make life easier for you.... Read the instructions, don't ask questions and if thinking it can be made easier, do it and then share.

Yeah dude I tried the Revon method last night and somehow it really messed mine up.. I ended up having to run the ruu and put my phone back to factory.

When i tried the Revone it wouldnt run in terminal dont know why, just wouldnt. Iwas kinds leary about the moonshine method, was readng that people were having difficulty. Further reading i noticed that the ones that had the best results were the ones that were bone stock (unlocked and rooted of course). Give it a shot man. Read the last couple pages of the thread. Alotta good info there.
If you do get stuck where it says Moonshining<1> .....................etc. just manually reboot your phone and it'll finish. Hope this helped. Later ,,,,,,
Try the Moonshine and make sure to do a manual reboot through the stages - its really simple.

Not directly related, but do you have the camera issue? I'm wondering if maybe cause the newer colors are presumably newer hardware revisions if maybe the bugs are at least somewhat worked out if this is indeed a hardware issue?

Search for the new "Firewater S-Off"! It worked for me, even without HTCDev unlocking (while using temp-root provided on the website).

@Cpasjuste and @ggow, I think you could provide to us your unlocked aboot partition for already rooted users and do not distribute any tools and do not violate any agreements with JCase.
What you think?
Hi ONYXis. I have no agreement with jcase, and I don't like him. The thing is there is a very high risk of brick, I don't think its a good idea. That said I know someone who will look at it and Ill let you know of course.
Intriguing...things certainly moving forward.

How do you not like @jcase? He's a nice guy.
Also, I personally don't care, but I think placeholder threads are not allowed.

I could care not if you liked me or not, but you are full of it saying it has a very high risk of brick. It is down right safe. You don't know how it works, even though details have been public for many months.
If I recall correctly myself or an associate unlocked his before we started getting harassed.
His aboot is no different than the others ones, its not a patched or modified loader, and it will do no good having it.

Not that anyone should really be arguing anyway, but JCase and others are right, placeholder threads are not allowed.
OP - if/when you have something ready for release, let us know, and we can reopen the thread..
