Hi,
I have tried several dry-application screen protectors, and I am unable to apply them without strip of air at the top and bottom edges. I am presuming that this is due to the curvature of the display.
Has anyone found a screen protector that doesn't have this issue? I am aware that some manufacturers shorten the top and bottom edges of their protectors to avoid this.
Also, do wet-application protector fare better in this regard?
Thanks.

I got a free screen protector when a bought a gel case on ebay, the interesting thing was that the screen protector was slightly curved in shape so I didn't have too much problem with bubbles and removed them by pressing down on the bubbles gently with a credit card.
This is the case I bought: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RED-S-CU...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item2a11860e69
neo: That's good to know. You're referring to the strips of air at the very edges of the display, right?
CMX: hmm, that's quite interesting. I have never heard of a curved protector before.
Yea i just used a hairdryer...it work great!!..i used a heat gun once n that work even better

I've seen a lot of talk about cases but not much on screen protectors (aside from the tempered glass ones). On my OG Droid I used a Zagg Invisible Shield that worked well but had a bad orange peel look to it. My GF's iPhone has a "Power Support" screen protector on it which is crystal clear and works well.
What is everybody using? Are the tempered glass protectors where it's at now?
I always have used sgp spigen screen protectors, think they are the best ones.

I know it's kind of pricey, but Zagg InvisibleShield Symphony Dry is the best in my opinion! Covers the front and back it's honestly my fav.
The Best Period
I'm currently using the iloome flex glass protectors. It looks great and it is real glass and it's only $16.99, but it is worth it. Looks nice and feels good. Plus its thinner then the Spigen nano glass protector.

aren't the edges coming off ? iloome stopped sending it out for now
I'm not having any problems with the edges don't know how aggressive you have to be for the edge of the protector to peel

Never had an issue with Steinheil/Spigen
Privacy Screen Protector for my G2
Well I have this Privacy Screen Protector I purchased it from Fommy , and its working really very fine..no hard issues till now..so If someone looking for a privacy screen protector..can give a try to this one....its nice one to go for.....
Has anyone ever rocked their phone without a screen protector? if so, did you screen get scratched up? Reason I ask is my Diztronic case for my Verizon G2 is great but it pushed up my Verizon screen protector (dry one from the store, which was working great). Am I going to ruin my screen without a screen protector? Does anyone have a Diztronic case and a screen protector that works well with it?
I switched from my Ballistic case to the Tudia Melody, which I love, because the former was causing my Zagg Invisible Shield to pull up. But all my previous phones have been completely naked and never had any problems with scratches.

Does anyone have any issues with spigen and the proximity sensor like in this review? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E486GMU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1382404949&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

I've always gone back and forth using them or going naked about 50% of the time. Never scratched a screen till this one... one week into use there was a tiny one dead center. I think it was actually sorta caused by the flip case. Either the metal ring on it out something got sick between the flap and screen.

I saw some german ones that had holes for all the sensors, anyone has one of these?
I was thinking of invisible defender but not sure how the cutout is.

I ran my DNA completely naked. After a year it ended up having a few very fine scratches on the screen. Nothing horrible, but still there. I really like the feel of the bare glass, but may go back to a screen protector for my G2. I'm just not very good at installing them - maybe a glass one would be better... I don't know.

How much does it change the feel of the device? I love the idea of a non-plasticy protector.
just bought the Obliq pure oleophobic.
I'll post my thoughts on it as soon as it comes in

Looking closely at the edges of the screen protector on the phone, you will notice that the screen has about a 0.5mm radius all the way round it that is not sticking to the phone glass as a result of the glass curvature around all the phone screens edges.
I am having this same issue with my iloome flexible glass protector on my LG G2 as well sadly.
Without an external case that overlaps this edge I CANNOT recommend this glass screen protector as you run the fair risk of slicing yourself (i had to buy a gel case with overlap to mitigate this very real issue) or worse yet having a piece of glass screen protector break off in your skin because the glass screen protector is so thin and the edge is exposed around all the edges of the screen protector...

There is plenty of room around the bezel area for a case. This screen protector fits perfect.

Can someone recommend me a good screen protector? I bought a glass one off Ebay but the edges are surrounded by air bubbles. It seems that the edges are curved?

50 views and no-one else has a screen protector?
Sent from my HTC_X9u using Tapatalk
This time I bought another glass protector which was thinner across the phone. It still had air bubbles all along the edges so I don't think you can use a glass cover on these phones as the edges are curved.
I'm not sure what to try now
What fun this is talking to myself...
hey mate,
If you want to send me a PM i'll hook you up with an ebay link for the ones I tried and a picture of how they look on the phone.
I can't post links at the moment because I haven't made 10 posts yet
I just made my order from Aliexpress

Has anyone been able to find a screen protector that doesn't look awful? All of mine have that horrible air bubble along the edges. And the Aliexpress sellers all say they're fine but when you dispute it they say "all the X9 screen protectors" are like that.

Don't get supershieldz. Big halo problem. Still looking for one as well. Have more coming hopefully one won't have the halo problem.
I don't usually use the temp glass protectors but I found one I could get quickly for this Mix and am using it. It went on nicely, very good fit but after a day or two I noticed this oil slick like discoloration/distortion in center section of the screen. It isn't noticeable when using the device unless screen is displaying lots of black or dark colors but it is annoying when the screen is off. Removing and reinstalling didn't change anything. Anyone got a thought as to how to get rid of it?

Thats the tempered glass i use, its awesome but one flaw, the 4 sides don't stick all the way
Hate when they peel up at edges, usually why I use film protectors (and I prefer the matte finish - better feel for touch and no glare).

I have the same issue and hate not using a tempered glass screen protector. Maybe we need to try a bootleg screen protector and see how that works. I'll order from Amazon if possible and see if I have the same results.
I had a glass screen protector preinstalled by the seller but eventually peeled it off because of the halo effect around the edges... If you guys find one that doesn't peel up be sure to report back so others can benefit too ?

Has anyone had any issues using case-friendly glass/pet screen protectors with their UAG cases? I read some people complaining about it somewhere but I'm not sure if they're just being idiots and are having issues because they're using full-coverage screen protectors...
I think the only one that works is the Monarch. Not sure about the other two models. UAG is my go to case but wont buy it if it doesn't work with the screen protectors. I have a sup case that provides similar protection and works with screen protectors.
I'm using a UAG plasma and haven't had any luck with any tempered glass screen protectors I've tried. The corners go deep into the screen. I'm currently using an S8+ dry protector, which plays nice with the Plasma because it's short. But it's too short for the screen and I'm still hoping to find one that works.
I'd love to hear from you if you find a good protector that's compatible with the Plasma.

Even the case-friendly glass ones are too long?
Tempered glass? Yes. I've tried 4 that all haven't fit. I haven't tried wet apply protectors because of issues with the S-Pen.
