Downloading the new Update N910C - Galaxy Note 4 General

Hello everyone, just wanted you guys to know that filnally after long frustrating time period, Samsung has finally rolled out an Lollipop update for Exynos versions, if you havent checked in for an update, do it now! Cherrs and Congrats if you have already downloaded the upgrade

can you post the build number?
thanks

Why do you guys act like the update wasn't already available here on xda since a month ago??!!
The forums are flooded by threads of people excited about an OTA. While there's no useful threads or an actual update.

Can someone tell me base on experience what is good about lollipop? I've been reading negative feedbacks about it from
other people who updated.

PSX User Thread/Information - Latest ver.: V3! Merry X-mas! :)

Hi all!
So... the PSX thread is finally closed... but I guess some of us will keep using it, right? So I thought that it would be interesting to create a user thread for this great ROM.
UPDATE: A brief FAQ for you.
Q: So, what happened to the thread?
A: The developer got (allegedly) tired of the slackness of the majority of the people posting in the development thread, i.e. repeating questions that were already answered, repeating requests about features that were already requested, complaints about bugs that were already reported and mostly app/user related, etc.
Q: No more PSX?
A: Incorrect. Development goes on and you can follow it here. I will try to update this post with the most important updates, as apparently some people can't access the new forum from restricted access networks (office).
Q: Can we get nightlies and stuff?
A: It's possible, head out to the PSX forum and read the rules. I will only post released versions here, as the developers clearly want access to the nightlies to be limited, and I wouldn't want to get banned from their forum, would I?
Rejoice! V3 is finally here!

Waiting for the first lucky winner
Cheers!
I was thinking to do the same... Thank you for the initiative
I hadn't logged in a week and read the bad news, sucks for us casual flashers. It would be awesome if they kept their androidfilehost updated and accessible to the public ...everybody wins.

Yes I think it makes sense!
Would be great if someone could follow ct's github and maybe build and share the releases...
On other news, I took the ART "plunge" this morning and so far I'm pretty happy with it! I lost about 1800 point in Quadrant, true, but battery life seems to have improved a lot! Don't know, maybe just placebo... I'll let it settle and try to give it some "normal" use and then I'll switch back to dalvik to compare... we'll see!
Oh and no compatibility issues so far. I was afraid that Carmageddon wouldn't work but it works perfectly with kitkat and art ^_^
Gone but not forgotten
I am a happy PSX user as a well. I tried catching up on all the issues but that was causing the problems but am still wondering since the thread is closed does that mean that CTFROMMN will never release any future updates or new Roms to us regular Joes? As a very new N4 owner I had only tried a few Roms but I have to say hands down, his latest work is the best that's out there right now. Its a shame if its the last one we will see.
I don't always post on XDA, I'm usually one of those who just lurk around and conduct experiments on their cellphone.
A few days ago I bought Nexus 4 after selling my old SGS2, and I tried several roms (both stock and non-stock), and the one that has actually caught my eye was PSX.
Smooth (even though Nexus 4 itself is smooth as hell), feature-rich, battery-friendly, and most importantly - bug free.
I don't know if ctfrommn is reading this (probably not), but just in case he does - you rock. You've made my experience with this device probably 10X better than with any other ROM.
I've read what you said on the official post and I agree that some people need to just shut the hell up and be thankful for what they get.
If you love something, keep on doing it, and let the nay sayers kiss your ass while doing it.
You did a great job on this ROM, and I'm sure a lot of people around here think so as well.
Thank you for your incredible work. I hope I'll get the chance to test and use your and your friends' creations in the future.
can some1 tell me what happened? my n4 is on lg service center, so i didnt check xda :/
^^^^ psx thread was all filled with posts like 'ohh i love this rom, this if do fast so smooth' and there were other posts all having complaints.1000's of posts like these..dev got tired of reading all those useless posts.. warned again and again but nobody listened.. No idea what happened yesterday but I'm sure that dev's mind should've snapped for sure after watching helplessly at the state of thread...
Anyways.. It shouldn't be a problem If There sources keep on getting updated.

i can't believe now psx is a private thing... except someone from the inside can 'leak' it to us regular users...
sorry for my bad english
Wow, I just downloaded and flashed the latest mako Rom from PSX. It's upsetting to see they took that route, their rom is turning out to be my favorite.

A thread can always be reopened, let's hope for the best!
Buuut I would much rather if this thread was used to report about problems/show off performance/etc of PSX instead of just feeling sorry about the other thread. For example, has any of you given a chance to ART? What did you think about it?

Yeah, but where are you, what territory is your device and are you carrier or unbranded.
Telling us you got it doesn't tell us anything really.
Also 5.0.1 had been rolling out in some territories then seemingly pulled because of a variety of issues.
Keep an eye on ram management, are your backgrounded apps tending to have to refresh content when you have more than 5 or 6 background apps loaded.
Also keep a check on the 'contacts stopped working bug' ...

Request Samsung Update Our SIII To Lollipop

Hello everyone, do yoy want samsung update our SIII to Lollipop?
Let request Samsung:
"
Hi Samsung, today i want to reveal something that most Galaxy SIII's user like me has harboured from the bottom of our heart: Please release Lollipop update package for both of us: Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Note II users all around the world. Having used S3 and N2 for a long time( maybe from the day that they were released), we think that our devices still able to run TW Lollipop. Because we know that your news devices-which have a worse hardware can run TW Lollipop. Do you know that we were to excited to see our device-SIII and N2 in your confirmed list containing what to be updated TW Lollipop soon. Then things went disappointedly, SIII and N2 has been removed from that list, which means that it was cancelled. Our belief completely faded away. Do you know our feeling? That look like you have been abandoned after the moment of being happy-just days ago.
It's common of us to think that: "Why Samsung did that?", "Probably their golden flagship has been left behind?" And if this update may affect the performence, why dont you release "manual update" instead of OTA? By doing that, anyone who is aware of slowing down their phone won't be affected. In the second hand, the majority longing for the updates still enjoy it. If after reading my post and you still reject our devices, please tell us why. Or following my ideas and then release it as soon as possible. We're looking forward to hearing good news from you soon.
Again, we're all respect you that has given us wonderful devices, we still love them now
Sincerely
Samsung SIII's users"

Even with Samsung being a crappy, jerk brand that doesn't even care with their users I think they are making a pretty good job lol.

Probably Samsung will listen now more&better because of their falling solds. But don't expect any effect for old phones (and for sell-managers S5 is already old).
Maybe create a petition letter in one of those sites specialized for that and we can all sign it

Haha, i find it funny. Samsung is never going to do that, never... They want us to buy a new device to get Lollipop.
However, we have unofficial CM12.1 on our beloved S3 and i think they are doing a more than great job. The S3 is with CM12.1 is as fast as it can be with only 1 GB of Ram and i think after more than 3 years and 3 month we can be happy that we have that amoung of custom Roms out there. But for Samsung, i never think that they will ever release LP for us.
This is going nowhere.

Use the version you develop. Clearly that doesn't exist yet
Same thing every android release. It'll be out after the official release, and source code drops. Don't know how long it will take, but it'll get there. We had a very long wait for 5.0 because of massive changes, not to mention that every time he got it working on one dev version, it was broken as heck on the next dev version, so we just have to wait and see. Hope that explains it well enough. Better than a "When it's ready", or "none" answer everyone always gives.
The Nexus images are now live so I would guess the source won't be far behind it. Can someone comment on the number of changes to ART compared to Lollipop. From the surface it seems that Marshmallow should be 5.2 and not 6.0 but maybe all the changes are under the hood.
It is coming:
rovo89:
"In framework version 74, I have fixed some more incompatibilities which could lead to bootloops or crashes. I assume that most of these crash logs contained the string "Incompatible set properties", which is actually a consequence of previous method verification errors. It's hard to say which ROMs and devices were affected - but flashing the new version shouldn't hurt even if everything looks fine with older versions. If you do notice any issues and are sure that it's not caused by yourself, you have higher chances of getting them fixed if you open a detailed GitHub issue (usually I will need at least a full logcat).
I won't be able to work on Xposed for the next 2-3 weeks - no time for development, support or questions at all. If the rumors I have read are right, I should be ready just in time to start porting Xposed to M."

Remember, the reason why it took so long for an official version for android 5.0 was because lollipop uses ART environment and xposed whas always made for dalvik originally.
So I think it will take less time now.

I haven't been able to find it, only snarky comments from users here about how its obviously not done. I have checked all the stickeys in this forum as well as the development one...
I doubt you will get much info on progress, as users tend to hold any claims against developers... But I would have though there would be something official saying "its in progress" to try and help stop the inquiries.
Oh well, will be a nice surprise when it drops.

android oreo????

when we will get the Android oreo finally???
This has nothing to do with xda. We can only guess, so this thread is pointless. Please contact your carrier or Samsung ! Although even they will tell you nothing. Patience.
And putting multiple questions marks won't make it come faster. Lol
