Hello,
This is my first time posting so forgive me I'm a noob at posting.I am having an issue with my Revo not ringing when receiving incoming calls. It will only vibrate but no sound. I'm somewhat a noob at this but somewhat feel I know what I'm doing. Anyways, my phone will play all notification sounds ie: new messages, alarms and all notifications will work fine except when I receive a phone call. I recently downloaded BAC, Boot Animation Changer and was playing with the sound binary files and think I may have deleted something in that area. I have no idea what else it may be as I have checked all my settings and everything is correct. Please any help would be greatly appreciated as I am missing all my calls!!!
Thanks,

Check and make sure that you have notifications for calls on. If you do and it still doesn't work then just reflash GV1.3 and wipe cache and dalvik and you will be good. This "should" fix anything you may have messed up in the system files

Thank you for such a quick reply!!!
I have checked all settings for sound notifications, reflashed GV1.3 and even did a complete system/data wipe in CWM recovery and started over but with no luck.

I'm not 100% sure where it is but it is there somewhere. You can change the notification volume for alarms, notifications, and calls seperately you may have changed that too. A reflash and data wipe should have fixed for sure

Thanks again for your help, I have checked again all sound settings and they are all on. I will try another factory wipe and see if maybe this will work this time.
Thanks again for your help.

Stupid question but did you make sure you're selecting a ringtone after you flash? I'm not sure about Gingervolt but I know on builds of RevoltROM, flashing the ROM would default your ringtone to "Silent." If you haven't, go through Settings>Sound>Phone Ringtone and select a ringtone, then see if it goes off for you.

Hey, and to answer your question, yes I am making sure I select a ringtone after flashing. I did another factory wipe and it kept rebooting into gingervolt so I did a complete erase from inside the phone software and got stuck and keeps rebooting into CWM recovery, now that Im off from work and able to use a PC i am reflashing the VS910ZV7 tot using LGNPST and it is finaly back up and running. Thanks for all your help. I do appreciate it..

Try downloading volume control + from the market and check your volume settings there
Edit: I should have read through the entire post first, glad it is up and running for you again.

Thanks, that is what I had to do in the end. I had multiple issues when I did a factory reset either from within the settings or from CWM Recovery, even though I had multiple CWM Backups non which could restore it in working order.
Non the less I used LGNSP to flash a new V7 TOT and everything is good now. Thanks to all who replied and assisted.

Not Ringing Fix
My phone was not ringing for incoming calls despite checking volume settings, turning off google voice, removing call forwarding, trying different ringtones, and checking settings for individual contacts.
Turns out the fix was Settings--> Sound--> uncheck ERI sound (Enhanced Roaming Indication)
Hey there,
I use the cyanogenmod 10.1 since Alpha 1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094554
This version was just good. I only got problems while using bluetooth...
Yesterday I installed the new version Alpha 2 and only got problems since then. Freeze while using bluetooth, browsing and after finishing a call.
I reinstalled it with Teamwin, but it didn't change anything.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Greetings

Hi!
CM 10.1 has known issues with bluetooth, and more precisely, with bluetooth headsets and car audio. You can't help that. You can also read their forums, where lots of people complain about that.
Also, you are installing beta 2 and not alpha 2, right? Because beta 2 is the newest.

Yeah of cource... my mistake. I read about the problems with bluetooth...but that has nothing to do with my problems of this beta 2.
Browsing is impossible and I have to restart my phone after every call because it freezes.

Ok thank you
I'll try that later and post you the result
did as you say,
now, I can say that browsing is working. But after I put the calendar on the home screen the phone crashed again.
now it even freezes while booting
Hmm a clean install is recommended. Meaning:
Start from stock android from sammy and flash back to CM 10

I did.
But still some problems:
- freeze while browsing (turned flash etc off and it worked...)
- face unlock
But that's fine. I can make calls with my mobile phone again and I can move the widgets
Thank you for your help so far!
Hi
Well after making the jump from iOS I've been loving my HTC one and this forum. However I've hit a bit of a snag and I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me out. I've had a search around on the forums and couldn't find any answers so I thought I would post here.
I have an unbranded Australian HTC one. I have s-off, Super CID, unlocked the bootloader, rooted, flashed the 2.24.401.1 firmware and got twrp installed.
I was using the ARHD12.1 ROM, when I noticed that after work a day or two ago I wasn't able to get any sound back after keeping the phone on vibrate despite having the volume indicator on full. The battery was pretty low.
I could send and receive SMS,access the internet, make calls and see that they are connected but I would get
No dial tone,
Was unable to hear the person on the other end of the phone line and they could not hear me.
Can't play music
YouTube won't play videos at all.
Phone freezes when trying to play ring tones
No sound through headphones
I have tried (to no avail):
Using a previous nandoid.
Flashed multiple different ROMS (ARHD GE 3, SinlessROM GE 4.3, Bigxie Ge as well as the ARHD 12.1 again).
Reflashing the firmware, reinstalling twrp and reflashing the ROMs.
Deleting any new apps in the last couple of days to see if they have had any part
The soundabout app to force sound through speakers.
Not signing into gmail mail account after flashing a ROMto stop any new apps being downloaded.
Sound wasn't coming back after flashing a ROM initially (lasted try is Bigxie's GE4.3 Rom), but now it seems to work only if the battery is over 50%. Sound then disappear after the phone is rebooted. Flashing a rom with battery under 50% seems to have no sound either.
Its as if the phone is being muted somehow.
So I'm just wondering has anyone got any ideas?
Are there any other (audio) system files I some how able to reinstall?
Or should I revert it to stock and try for a replacement?
Thanks for any help.
Very strange!
Are you running tasker or llama? (If you don't know what they are then the answer is probably no ).
Did you do a full wipe when flashing the roms?

Yep running tasker. But I've been running it since I first got the phone with no issues. The same thing happens when I've haven't got tasker installed though.
I've tried factory wipes, format data and I think i;ve tried advanced wipe as well inbetween ROM reinstalls.
Its a mystery to me

works fine on stock 5.1 D
but when i flash a ROM the issue comes back...
Rather than having a generic question, you should list what particular ROM you're having problems with. I know with my ROM (Chroma), it was having problems in which incoming calls did not work on LTE but as of recent proprietary blob additions, everything works as intended.
Look for ROMs that are more updated, and there isn't such thing as a LMY47M base unless its stock-based as LMY47M was never dropped into AOSP. If the ROM is stock based then, it should have all of the blobs for phone calls to work properly.

I restored back to Stock 5.1 D
flashed over Bliss 3/30 and it was not working
Flashed resurrection and it wasn't working
Chroma worked with the latest build.
I didn't think it was a ROM issue since I had tried out 2 different ROMs but yeah, as it turns out it is.
I am running the 47M build, just rooted and un-encrypted and I don't have issues receiving calls while on WI-Fi. I am on T-mobile as well. However I do have an issue when VoLTE is enabled and the signal is low where the dialer won't dial-it will just say Dialing and the call would never complete. When I try to hang up to try again it will get stuck on Hanging Up and I have to reboot my phone. I have tried every build and every radio available for 5.1 and I am still having this issue here and there. I have disabled VoLTE for now until this is fixed.

I am stock. Just rooted and un-encrypted. So just like it came from T-mobile OTA.
Tried factory reset and APN settings reset, nothing seems to help. It happens randomly when the LTE signal is weak and the phone switches between H and LTE...
Do you guys think that I should do a factory reset and setup the device as new-maybe some kind of a system setting is the root of my issue?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
This issue is now forwarded to Project Fi users. I keep missing calls on latest Project Fi built
has any one been having any trouble with their wifi on their nexus 6, randomly the wifi toggle will stop working the toggle will be off and it still says "Turning Wi-Fi on..." i've booted into recovery and cleared cache and rebooted the phone and it worked the first time and it's been acting up again and this time clearing the cache isn't working does anyone else have any ideas without doing a factory reset.

maybe try just flashing the system img, then wipe cache's again before booting. if that doesnt work, its may be time for the dreaded fdr.
I've never been into flashing system img & fdr? It's just sad because I had the same issue before also losing signal with my device. Til I got a replacement and the replacement device is starting to act up also.

my only other suggestion would be to re-flash. you could try just the system partition, but if it were me i would just go all in for full clean flash.
im sure Simms will get on me for saying so, but you can just grab wugs toolkit and be done in 20min or so.

Is it rooted with mods or completely stock? If stock, try deleting the saved wireless networks..

these random issues usually come from a corrupt file, either by an update or some other means. its hard to impossible to pinpoint the cause usually.
if you never flashed before, its best to read up on it a bit first. wugs walks you through the steps, from downloading the files, and drivers, to the flashing. its not foolproof, but if you follow the lead of the script, its not hard to figure out.

well i have before but that was so long ago and that was for my MyTouch and HTC Sensation but that was years ago. Now I know things are easier but I've never really been into flashing and the only reason I did back then was for updates and different version of Sense UI but since I've been using Nexus Devices I didn't have a need or desire to actually flash. Pretty much I'm a NOOB!
but I don't see why wouldn't a factory reset fix it. even if it was temp.

clearing the cache is always a good idea, i think i suggested that earlier.
i dont know how to explain well what cache is exactly, its not part of the file system, its more like temp data storage i believe.
