My wife's had a Motorola Moto G 2014 phone for a couple of months. It's stock unrooted, with the latest OTA Android updates (Lollipop 5.0.2). Notification sounds are not playing properly.
If keyboard touch sounds are on and I go into the notification selector and select a sound, sometimes it plays, sometimes not and sometimes only a bit of the sound plays.
However if I turn off keyboard touch sounds then I can't get notifications to play at all. See the Youtube video demo
I've rebooted several times and booted into safe mode but no change. Any suggestions other than doing a factory reset?

Hihi,
I just recently updated my N1 to FRF83 on stock all the way and have started to experience a problem during my incoming calls and would like to ask if anyone else experiencing this as well.
Even after setting all volumes (notifications, ringing, media etc etc) to 100%, whenever I get an incoming call the phone doesn't ring and it only vibrates/LED trackball.
I've doubled checked that there isn't any contact-specific settings for ringtones and also tried using a volume control app to 100% all volumes. Also checked that its not a speaker problem cos the chosen ringtone plays alright on music players. Also tried both custom ringtones and default ringtones and there's no difference.
Been using my sister's phone to call my phone and the thing is that this situation is not consistent.
Sometimes it rings without any issue. Sometimes the ringtone rings for 3-5 secs and silences. Sometimes it does not ring while trackball/vibrate activates. Sometimes it does not ring and trackball/vibrate does not activate as well. The issue is equally inconsistent regardless of whether the phone is on standby(screen off) or active(screen on).
Thanks in advance if anyone can help
I have the same issue with the FRF91 build of Froyo. Looks like the Google forum has a bunch of people reporting this as well.
I'm going to try to go into recovery and clear the cache. If it doesn't work I'll wipe the phone and see if that fixes it.
Hi,
I have this weird issue with the HTC One. It was an original HTC One(UK), that I converted to a GE(official GE ROM).
Recieves OTA updates and everything, running the latest software version of Android(4.4.4)
Every now and again, the sounds stop working for notifications. The vibrate still works, but the sound notifications stop unless I reboot the phone. I've tried a factory reset, but this hasn't resolved the issue. Sometimes it occurs after I put the phone into silent and then back into full sound. But not always. It's not like all sounds stop - if I push the volume button up and down, it happily plays the sounds but not the notifications.
Any ideas??
Hello, i've got this problem right after EMUI 3.0 update. When a notification pops up - sometimes after the sound of the notification, mp3's from my internal storage starts playing. Even if no music app (or any apps) are running on the background at that time. There's no other way to stop that than bring down the ringtone volume (not media volume!) and wait a few minutes or restart the phone. It happens only about 1-2 times a day, but it's very annoying. Anyone else got this problem?
The only mention about this problem i've found is here.

- Sometimes music player will start playing a local file randomly when you have a different music app running like digitally imported, while using the smart cover.
Im not using the smart cover, but i've figured out that the smart cover function was set on, so i turned it off and i will see if it will get better.
did it help? i have the same issue every time i get a facebook notification.

Help! My phone keeps on playing the notification sound. Tried to disabled all the notifications but it keeps on playing. I locked my phone but I can still hear notification sound. It so annoying that it keeps on sounding even though there's no notification appears. This problem occurs after I reset all settings.
I've seen this happen in newpipe and vlc so far. It doesn't always happen immediately, but when it does, I can still hear tne audio but the image freezes onscreen. After that, I notice the phone doesn't respond when I press the hardware lockscreen button. Eventually the phone resets itself or I have to manually do it.
