[Q] Verizon UNLOCK StatuBar Sim <?> - Verizon LG G2

Hi all,
I buy a LG G2 on ebay. He was already unlocked.
But the LG G2 with Verizon and I'm in Canada so I'm with Telus (CANADA).
Everything works but for LTE should have to change the APN.
My question is: in the status bar, there a SIM logo with a question mark but my sim is recognized by the smart phone.
there a way to remove it?
My LG G2 is not ROOT and it is with android lollipop 5.0.2
Thank You
PS: Sorry for my bad english

[Q] ebay purchased Tmobile g1\HTC Touch Pro (Sprint) locked for non-USA usage

Hi,
I purchased T-mobile G1 and HTC Touch Pro (Sprint) from ebay. Both are locked. For me to use outside USA with other carrier whats my next step to unlock it ?
I do not have T-mobile service nor Sprint. If I find a friend/colleague who has T-mobile/Sprint service can he use his Sim card to unlock the phone ? do you need Sim Card to unlock the phone ?
is there article explaining it like whats exactly involved in providing information to carrier\service provider and is there any embarrassment questions which one needs to prepare for.
Regards,
Miten.

[Q] Noob question - Locked phone

Hello everyone.
I am a Nexus 4 user, so I believe that things would be pretty much the same for those devices, but I am concerned.
I do live in Brazil but I am in US on vacations. I intend to buy a Moto X on Ebay, but the version that I saw was Locked by SPRINT, so that means it won't work in Brazilian SIM cards.
Question 1: However, if I root, unlock bootloader, change roms for one compatible in Brazil or for an Intl. unlocked version Rom, will it work normally in Brazil?
Question 2: If yes, is it so easy to root as Nexus 4 is? I use a Root tool kit made by WUGFRESH that is FKNG awesome..
Thanks everyone!:

You're actually better buying a T-Mobile version, 1 its already sim unlocked
2 its the gsm variant not CDMA like sprint
3 unlockable bootloader
Sent on my Moto X
I used to work for Sprint. Sprint phones (this doesn't apply to the Nexus 5) when unlocked are programmed to reject US SIM cards. They WILL accept your Brazilian SIM card in Brazil, or to ROAM on a US network using your Brazilian/non-American SIM, but if you were to insert for example an AT&T or T-Mobile SIM it would reject them. But as the guy above said, you're the best off buying either the Unlocked version or Developer version (whichever is cheaper for you).
You could also buy the AT&T if it's unlocked or just buy any Verizon version (they come factory unlocked, but no LTE off of Verizon).

Using freedompop on ls991 vza locked

I just recently bought a sprint lg g4 (ls991) (returned, open box) (ZVA) from eBay, that I want to use on my freedompop sim card from my Nexus 5, this was labeled sprint with a white background and some (probably) sensitive information. If you don't already know, Freedompop is a mvno on the sprint network. I don't have a sprint plan, so calling them to unlock it would (probably) not work.
Should I buy a different g4, if so which version?
Should I try calling sprint?
Should I try unlocking my other phone (moto e 2015 vzw) and use the sim in there?
Should I ask you?
If you have an answer or need just a bit more information I will be happy to reply to your comment, thanks! Also do the poll.
U can root it then gsm unlock it to use the sim card. Have u tried ure sim in it what happens

OK, thanks I'll try that
I'm looking to buy a LG G4 on eBay and then activate on freedompop. Is there any reason why it won't work?
On the FP forum there's this post: https://forums.freedompop.com/discussion/12814/byod-what-sim-card-do-i-need-for-my-byod-handset
The G4 is listed so won't it work?

Question about Using an Unlocked Sprint LG G6 on Tmobile

Hello XDA,
Do we know if we are able to flash the firmware of another carriers to the LG G6? I remember we were able to do that with the S6/S7 so that Wifi Calling and VoLTE would be fixed for users on Tmobile using an unlocked phone (Sprint unlocked phone etc). Since they had the same physical hardware.
I'll be getting a Sprint LG G6 from my job but I have tmobile, I can get it unlocked thats not a problem, but I need Wifi Calling to work. Has anyone tried to flash another carriers firmware on their LG G6 // do we know if they are the same hardware wise? Thanks in advance guys!
Is Sprint using GSM now?

The devices have been GSM capable since the S3. NVTOOLs usually has some flags you can flip to enable the bands/radio. Of course it needs to be clean ESN with Sprint, and internationally unlocked from Sprint.
Does any one know what i need to do to get my sprint lg g6 working on other carriers sprint says its unlocked but when i put at&t sim card in it does not register

Did Sprint just say it's unlocked or did they give you a code? From what I know they are suppose to give an unlock codes for Android devices and for iPhones they just unlock them. Your phone is suppose to prompt you when you put a different carrier SIM in and once you out that code in your permanent unlocked.
Can anyone second this?
I wouldn't trust Sprint. They need to give you the unlock code. I found someone to pay to do it. There are very few.
