[Q] internet slow cm7

Hey what's up?
so I have the latest nightly built and I notices that web pages take noticeably more time to load than in other roms.
Any1 had the same problem?

Did you lock and unlock the phone after you booted it up? That will usually solve problems like that on cm7. If not, try another modem.
As for browser load times, mine is blazing on both stock browser and Firefox. Yours should be too.

what do you mean lock and unlock?

Just that...hit the power button briefly to turn off your screen, press it again to show the lock screen, then unlock it. Doing that right after booting up tends to solve lots of weird performance issues left over from booting.
As for modem, I am using JPG and it is doing pretty well for me right now. They are easy to flash however, so download a few from sourceforge and try them out.

i guess i did lock and unlock, just not sure if right after boot.
anyways, how do i know which modem i have? and should that really help making the internet speed better? thats really the only issue i have with the rom

Modem = Menu button > Settings > About phone > Baseband version

[Q] No Connection RETRY.

Im having this prob since some hours now and i have tried EVERY SOLUTION ON INTERNET. I have restored my phone, edit HOST with a # at begining, Clear cache and force stop thing, But not only google, But all Google apps arent working i.e Gmail aswel; Gmail and google play store works fine in Browser. I also updated my software using REPAIR tool in Pc Companion. Im using Xperia Z 4.1.2 C6603. Can anyone please figure out What the dash is prob with it because other solutions seem to be working for others, Not for me. Please help and Thanks in advance guys.

Its google play store. Over WIFI.

Have you tried removing your Google account and re add it?

Could it be a router thing? Tried resetting the router?
Do Google apps work at all over cellular data?
Do you have a recovery installed to flash the latest gapps?

I dint try cellular cause im using xperia only on wifi. No sim yet. And google play store is working fine in my laptop over same Wifi and also on XZ in browser.

Well, the only thing it occurs to me is to flash gapps.
Root. Get a recovery. Flash latest gapps.

i Cant.. Pc compantion doesnt give me option fo update. It says that Phone is updated. Mean no more updates for my version

Walkman HELP!

Hello when i use the walkman and sign into my music unlimited account and try to download my playlist for offline playback it says "Download pending 0/25" then says "Downloading 0/25" and keeps looping!
Anyone know how this can be fixed??? I am ruining PureStock 1.1 and iHackers Kernel

To me seems more a problem with the Rom than a Unlocked Bootloader. Custom Roms are tweeked and if they are not set up in the right mode the servers recognize you device as not allowed to connect. I don't think you will have this problem with stock one. Maybe I am wrong, somebody with the same rom should confirm this.

I can't connect to PS so I tried to logout gmail, when I wanted to login again, I couldn't sign in. I'm using RR rom

Try to do a factory reset. If I read the message, it looks like being a network provider that you use on your device is currently experiencing problems. Are you using a Simpati Card?

Oh.. Well, try to do a factory reset, if it still happens, do a full wipe. Then re-install the ROM. I think RR last release did not have much problem in making a network connection. Unless some of the features of the ROM itself.

Can't make a backup with twrp...keeps failing

I'm running cloudyflex 2.4 and each time I make a backup with twrp it fails. I'm on a Verizon 24a model with twrp 2.7 any suggestions???

That was a bug with 2.7 and stock ROMs. Seems like the larger the ROM, the more likely it was to happen. It was fixed with 2.7.1. But it had a screen timeout bug. I'd highly suggest dr87's custom 2.7.1, its built with his kernel, which fixed the screen timeout bug. Plus he added thermal control and knock on. Much better than stock TWRP

Could be the auto file name it's creating is too long. Try manually naming your backup.

You need to figured out which display panel you have, LGD or JDI.
