Did you lock and unlock the phone after you booted it up? That will usually solve problems like that on cm7. If not, try another modem.
As for browser load times, mine is blazing on both stock browser and Firefox. Yours should be too.

Just that...hit the power button briefly to turn off your screen, press it again to show the lock screen, then unlock it. Doing that right after booting up tends to solve lots of weird performance issues left over from booting.
As for modem, I am using JPG and it is doing pretty well for me right now. They are easy to flash however, so download a few from sourceforge and try them out.

i guess i did lock and unlock, just not sure if right after boot.
anyways, how do i know which modem i have? and should that really help making the internet speed better? thats really the only issue i have with the rom

What does it say under settings>about phone>baseband ?
^
+1 If u do have a modem listed under the Baseband version, Then u probably need to go into the Settings and go under the Access Point Names and hit the menu button and select Reset to default.

The power button is not needed for anything, really. There are ways to circumvent its usefulness, even though it would be nice to have a working power button.
To start up my device if it's shut down, I just do the battery pull trick which works.

Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. I totally forgot
Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324227
Install this for ADB (and fastboot, I think?) drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521881
If you want to unlock your bootloader, which isn't necessary: Reboot in fastboot USB mode and type in a console: fastboot oem unlock

[Q] home screen froze, alarm suddenly goes snooze

hai.. I have a problem with my HH and I really don't know why that happened..
my home screen like frozen. I put a clock widget on my home screen and it's show the wrong time, it doesn't follow the system clock. Froze, and I have to refresh (I re-size it) every time.
I also install apps that control my screen to awake when I open the flip cover (I use Smart Cover or Auto Screen On Off) but it's doesn't works the way it should..
I also have a problem with my alarm, every time I using it, it's just turn on 1 second and suddenly goes snooze.
I really don't know why and how this happens.. and maybe anyone have the same problem n find out the solution..
thanks..
I am really appreciate the answer..
What ROM you have? try to wipe your cache/dalvik.

I don't know the ROM I am using but it's already rooted
my baseband version I8190XXALK6
I already wipe the cache using recovery mode but that give no effect.. it's still the same..
Well if it doesn't work, then you may need to reflash the rom. That's the fastest way instead of searching one by one for what and where the problems are. If the problems still there after you flashing then you need to find another rom.

[Q] Can't access certain pages with every browser after lollipop upgrade

Strange behaviour of my browser after LP update (stock rom w root,)
I have tried with Chrome, aosp and firefox with the same results.
If I want to access whichever page on xda forum i get "webpage not available"- with chrome DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.
I am accessing the same page with the same connection - on pc everything's fine, on my z3c not. I am over wifi now, but over mobile data the situation's the same.
What's wrong? I have tried to look iinside settings, but can't find the way to solve this

I remember someone suggested the samething for me but instead he asked me to make a full erase from recovery then flash stock rom twice. Still didn't work for me eventhough it worked for him.

For that fix to work you need to be rooted. I don't wanna root or anything. I just want stock rom with everything stock and still no deep sleep error. In simole words, I want my phone to be in a condition as it was when I bought it.
