So I've done some research into this and it seems that the consensus is that it is not possible to flash an ATT rom on a Sprint HTC one, however the phone I currently own (purchased second hand) seems to be a sprint phone (there's the logo on the back and there's the sprint splash screen that pops up when the phone starts) with a what appears to be a ATT baseband and rom flashed to it. The following information is listed on my phone:
Kernel version: 3.4.10-ge12f77e [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version: 4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L
Build number: 4.18.502.7 CL302626 release-keys
Browser version: Webkit/534.30
Re-locked
HBOOT 1.56.0000
Radio-4T.24.3218.09
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-4.18.502.7
eMMC-bboot 2048MB
Would it be possible to replicate this on another sprint phone that is unlocked, rooted and S-OFF? I followed every step of this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665954) on a new sprint htc one in order to try to get it to accept a cricket SIM and work properly but even after doing the GSM fix in the thread the data/signal still constantly disconnects. While on my old phone everything works flawlessly.
Apologies in advance for any missing information or inaccuracies since I am relatively new to this all.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi everyone, I bought a used HTC One about 5 months ago.
It works great but it's not updating to 4.3. It says it's up to date.
I read that Rogers updated the phone about a month ago.
I started reading around and found that if you have an unlocked bootloader, it will not update.
Is this true? I'm pretty stupid when it comes to phones, and I don't even have a clue what a bootloader is,lol.
But I read that I should hold down the power and volume down button.
This is what it says:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT - 1.44.0000
RADIO - 4a.14.3250.13
OpenDSP - v26.120.274.0202
eMMc - boot
Mar 16 2013 16:14:20:-1
Does that mean the bootloader is unlocked and will not update OTA?
How can I update, if possible?
Thanks very much for your help in advance!
is the phone running a custom rom? Go into settings --> about ---> software information. What does it say there?
The unlocked bootloader isn't actually a problem. However if there is a custom recovery installed it becomes a little messy to upgrade the firmware.
Thanks for replying, here is what it says:
Android version = 4.1.2
HTC Sense = 5.0
Software number = 1.29.401.13
HTC SDK API level = 5.12
Under "More" it says
Kernel version =
3.4.10-g9502c1
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT
Baseband version =

Build number =
1.29.401.13 CL177101 release-keys
Browser version =
WebKit/534.30
Can anyone please give me a hand and tell me what I need to do to update?
Thanks very much

Thanks for the links, I went to the page, found my version, installed exactly like the video and it installed fine.
All the info I have above is exactly the same. When I go to update, it still says I am up to date.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for the help so far, I appreciate it.
I have an m7_ul that was converted to GPE and I'm trying to figure out everything I need to do to get OTAs for 5.0.1 and up. I've read that I need stock recovery and kernel and stuff, and from other stuff I've read I believe I have to change the MID and CID, but I'm not sure. I'd really appreciate any help I can get. If you could even direct me to the threads I need to read, that'd be great (i.e., first flash recovery, read here [link] etc...). Here's what I've got right now:
HTC One m7_ul
ROM: 4.4.4 (I think it's the GPE RUU, I just got this phone from Swappa so I'm not totally sure)
Kernel: 3.4.10-gef77362 [email protected] #1 Mon Jun 16 (continues with date/time)
Build: KTu84P.H1
S-off
CID: CWS__001
hBoot: 1.57.0000
Radio: 4T.28.3218.04
OpenDSP: v32.120.274.0909
OS: 6.06.401.1
eMMC-boot: 2048MB
TWRP v2.8.1.0
Any other info that'd be helpful I'll grab. I tried to do this but bricked my last phone and I think it could be JTAGged or something, but I'm not brave enough for that. Thanks in advance!

according to the info above your on Sense 6 international (6.06.401.1) on an AT&T device (CWS__001) Hboot 1.57
is the Phone s-off ? if not it's going to cost you $25 for Sunshine S-Off to convert to GPe
I am s-off, but I don't think this is a sense ROM. not sure if that makes any difference.
I have been running an InsertCoin ROM for about a year now, and it is driving me insane. I rooted this phone and put this ROM on as soon as I got it, and now that I come back to XDA for an update, everything is changed and I am a bit confused.
When I go onto Venom ROM website, it says I need to update firmware to HTC 5.0.2. However, I can't tell which firmware I am even on, and I feel like a complete dumb ass. Here is relevant info for my phone, I want to update to a new rom and TMo's latest radio. If someone can real quick throw me some bulletpoints, i'll figure out the rest. THANK YOU!

for what its worth, i get that red warning on boot splash saying that this build is for development purposes. I think what I need to do, is first flash the latest stock tmobile rom, and then flash venom rom over it.. does this sound right?

In most cases, flashing the new radio does not particularly make a difference. Most roms will flash even on older radios. BUt, it is recommended to flash the newest firmware.
Your firmware is the oldest one for the M7. It is the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware. The HBOOT version gives away the firmware version FYI. You have the option of updating the TMobile radio version, or since you're S-OFF, flashing the latest 5.0.2 international firmware. The TMobile firmware is slightly older as i can't find the latest one, but it should work. Link is :

Thank you for the help!!!
So I just need to flash this RUU and then I can install ViperROM? Sounds easy enough
I guess since this is going to delete everything, i'll start the picture backup now...
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I forgot to add, I think i need their latest radio or something, because my phone is unable to connect with TMobiles new 4g range booster. Hopefully this fixes that probelm, as well as the battery life issue that cropped up
I recently went on a business trip internationally and lost my microSIM card during a swap. I'm now looking to get a replacement from Sprint to get back on LTE but I need to know if I need to go back to stock for them to re-enter me into their database with the new microSIM replacement card.
If the answer is yes, what is the best approach to going back to stock given the following initial software conditions:
Android 4.1.2, Sense 5.0
Hardware 0004
Software 1.29.651.10
HTC SDK API 5.12
PRI v.3.17_003
PRL v.55029
Recovery TWRP V.2.8.7.0
"Tampered" & "Unlocked"
S-On (M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH)
HBOOT 1.44.0000
Radio 1.00.20.0913_3
OpenDSP v31.120.274.0617
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hey, its me again,
Yesterday I removed some 4.4.2 rom from my HTC and now I cant get install any.
Informations from previous ROM:
HTC SDK API level: 6.20
PRL verison: 55015,
Software number: 5.11.661.8,
Kernel: 3.4.10-xiaoxiang8002-soul1.0, SMP PREEMPT,
Baseband version: 2.03.30.0109,
Build number:5.11.661.8 CL334166
Informations from Bootloader:
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-11111111
HBOOT-1.57.0000
OpenDSP-v26.120.274.0202
OS-
and its GSM version.
I tried to flash (TWRP) some stock rooted 4.4.2 - after flash, only HTC logo appears a stuck in there.
ViperOne gives me status 7 error.
GPE stock and plus failed too.
I want some lollipop ROM, but can I flash lollipop ROMs without official update from kitkat to lollipop?
Do I need to update baseband or hboot etc. - and if so which versions?
Can i flash RUU exe lollipop file from official HTC website? (http://www.htc.com/cz/support/updates.aspx) I dont want to lose my sim unlock/s-off.
Please let give some overall informations, im really confused of all those articles and threads. I would even appreciate some stock ROM, the only thing i dont want to lose is S-OFF, because its sim unlocked.
Im desperate.
EDIT // OK. Its always like - im despereate, going here, creating a thread and then i suddenly work it out. :|
I managed to restore it using official RUU. I used Sprint version 6.23.651.10, works normally but at startup it is doing some Hansfree Activation without succes, telling me its not working on GSM, no big deal. And it keeps telling me some **** about improving my connection with location service.
Should I try AT&T version 7.23.502.9? And whats the difference betweeen 6.23.651.10 and 7.23.502.9?
Thanks.

M7wls in the bootloader = it's a CDMA (sprint) variant, not a GSM variant. You can only use roms compatible with this variant (version number x.xx.651.x), roms for the GSM variant (m7ul) won't work. 6.23.651.10 is the latest official version that will work on your phone.
You can bypass hands free activation by deleting the htcsetupwizard.apk file from your phone. It can be done from twrp recovery (make sure to flash the sprint version of twrp). Boot in twrp, mount /system. Use twrp's file manager and go to /system/app and delete the file. Unmount, wipe cache and dalvik and reboot.
