From what info they have given, the new 10.5.1.A.0283 doesnt seem to address this particular issue.
However, we already know Xposed framework + wakelock terminator can make this battery drain issue go away.

WOW that's impressive. So does it work on JB 4.3? I have downgraded to .569 sw. There is no smoothness in KK as it is in JB.
Thanks for the info bro

It was the guys with Nexus found the solution, I forgot who was the originator, but it is somewhere here in XDA.
But yes, it works on 4.3. In fact you can do more in 4.3 than 4.4, due to interfaces such as app_ops and battery_stats were hidden to "protect user data".
Those stories have already been discussed here in XDA, so I guess I should stop here.
If it is the issue of google play service drain more battery than Andriod OS when idle, which kept your device "awake" while screen is off.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2919373&stc=1&d=1409491302
xposed framework can be downloaded here:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
wakelock terminator is in google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.andro.wlt&hl=en
settings:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2919305&stc=1&d=1409485715
Other wakelocks can be disabled by "per app hacking", which is an optional module found in the xposed framework.
You may also want to disable "Location Reporting" and "Location History" in
Settings -> Location -> Google location settings
If you want to read more, you can search "NlpWakeLock", don't quote me, i just post what I gathered from the internet.

That how it is
its not your fault
its samsungs fault for disabling it on the S5 mini
I used "notification mod" xposed app for that on kitkat. After updating to lollipop I haven't tried it. I installed xposed framework. I got some working modules on lollipop but not Notification mod.

I'm sorry but i can't find the app that you are talking about. It might need root permission though.

Hey! I have the same problem on my huawei honor 8. The app isn't in the play store or says it's uncompatible.
And don't worry, you don't need root for it.
Google navbar apps and an apk mirror site should pop up, where you can download an apk of navbar apps(xda doesn't allow me to put links sorry)
It works totally fine, i have no idea why it's not "compatible"
hello miui lovers, this is a simple guide to help you install and get Google assistant working in miui 8 lollipop
things required
1. rooted miui to edit build.prop
2. Google app
3. Brain (^_-)
4. xposed installed if not follow the below steps or skip to main steps.
for lollipop, first install xposed installer apk and then flash this via recovery
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3950451&d=1480267032
credits:
1. SolarWarez, for this miui edition build for xposed
2 .rovo89, creator of xposed
3. me for this method
main steps:
1. open root explorer (can use es file explorer with root granted) goto /system/build.prop and edit it and replace
or simply use build prop editor app from playstore and do the following changes like replace
ro.build.version.release=5.1.1 with
ro.build.version.release=6.0.1
2. now open xposed installer and goto download section, search for assistant enabler, install it and activate by rebooting the device
3. now go to settings > additional settings > language and input > voice input now select enhanced Google search
4. open security > permission and allow all the permission for google app and then go to autostart in permission and enable autostart for Google app and then remove Google app from battery saver
almost done
now open Google app > settings > voice > ok google detection and calibrate or train your voice model see next post for screenshots
enjoy and press thanks if I helped ?

I have an app which asks for permission to my contacts in order to start. (She is installed but won't work until ill give her the permission for my contacts).
Is there any way to make her think she has Permissions to my contacts without giving her?
Or to hide the real contacts so she won't be able to see them?
I looked around and saw Xprivacy but I have no root so is there any other option?
Thank You

That app is a big no-no here on xda, so i suggest you edit your post and remove it.
Can you provide more details, like your device and your android version? Xprivacy works up to marshmallow, if you're on Nougat you can try xposed extension protect my privacy, but i think it requires root too.
Since your have xposed installed, why don't you install root? I'm assuming you have a custom recovery to flash xposed so root should not be an issue.

Sorry, but I've seen your post in the xposed general forums, so i assumed you were looking for a n xposed related solution.
I do remember an app that used to decompile and recompile apks while removing permission requirement, but that was old and i can not remember the exact name, maybe try an app that gives you access to appOps on your rom to control access from there?

That app is considered warez/promotes cracking other apps, so it's against xda rules
