Hello all, I have a LG Optimus D500 and can not seem to find any root methods or even a thread for the phone. So I am hoing someone out there might know of a root method or even a thread for my device. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get on this. thanks again

No I sure have not tried towel root. I will look into it though. Ya I did a search on goggle and did not find anything on that device. I did find a lot on devices Like it. Just not the exact device I am talking about . I am sure one of other threads would work I am just not sure which one lol. Anyway buddy I do really appreciate you getting back with me though. I will definitely look into towel root. Thank you

So I have successfully rooted my phone! And it was so easy.
Thank you every one that have posted guides and made it so easy.
And thank you Cyanogen for your perfect Room!!
But I have some questions:
1. Can anyone list the best rooted apps, and dose it exist an list of all rooted apps?
2. is there any way to remove programs from the program menu(start menu)?
and where is the list of the programs on the program menu listed?
3. Is there any way to implement proxy settings in wifi settings?

I am also new to this rooting thing. Can you provide the link for what instructions did you follow to root your Nexus 1?
I came from an HD2 device, and this is pretty new to me.

But instead of using sense room, did i use: CyanogenMod. I just use the CyanogenMod files, instead of the Sense files

look around the development thread, and use google. from those, i was able to unlock, root, and install enom's ROM w/o too much trouble. using the 'spare parts' app in enom's ROM, you can uninstall things you couldn't before, like amazon.mp3, for which i have no use.
i don't know about proxy wifi settings, never had to mess with it. that seems like a browser condition, not a ROM condition tho. could fix thru router tho, if you're at home. MAC address proxy assignment would be your best bet, i would think.
only rooted apps i use are adfree, andexplorer, and metamorph, i think.
but, i am able to push whatever i want

I've been searching everywhere for a correct tutorial, for the past two days! My problem is I'm trying to unlock the bootloader and root my phone. I have an HTC One by Verizon, Android version 4.3. And so far nothing has worked, or I'm screwing up horrid. Is their anything for a noob to fully get this done?

Please dont flame me for this. Yes i have searched and no i havent found a solid answer.
I recently got my moto x from AT&T and they updated it in store. ive tried most of the other rooting methods with no success. I have Linux (64 bit if it matters) working adb, and working drivers.
What are my options here? i believe i read that i cant down grade to 4.2.2 to successfully root
If someone could point me in the right direction and not flame me that would be awesome. Thanks for any help you can provide, this will be the first phone ive ever had without root if i cant get it working
Only if your bootloader is unlocked. That's it... If not then you just sit back and enjoy the phone

Join the outcasts. I have a page of useful links in my signature, but no root. Maybe in late summer.
Thanks for the quick responses. This is disappointing, I saw really looking to de bloat and play with utter and touchless control. It doesn't work like I expected it to.... Looks like I'll be trading it in for a g2.

I have the LM-V405 through sprint.. Any suggestions?
First, crossflash to the US version. For the reasons why, look at this thread. Follow this thread's directions for the crossflash. Use the No Root directions, as you'll root your device in a later section. Note that once you crossflash, you CANNOT go back to a Sprint KDZ because Sprint does not make their KDZs publically available.
Second, unlock the bootloader via the link that @KouaV1 provided.
Third, once your bootloader is unlocked, install TWRP following the guide here.
Fourth, install Magisk via TWRP.
Be patient. Nobody gets it all right their first go around. The device is picky. As long as you have 9008 mode and LGUP, you can always go back to the beginning and start over.

Not to be negative, but, there is not a way to root the t-mo version and it's pretty well known there never will be one.
There's one thing about LG phones that new people learn, sometimes the hard way, that is the t-mo version is **different** then all the other versions. It's mentioned in all the threads re rooting, cross flashing, etc etc etc.
They say something like; "Works for all versions, except T-Mobile!!"
sorry to tell you, but that's pretty much an unmodifiable phone.
