What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
"Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from notification) and I'm NOT going to add something other." - @Alberto97
NOTE: THE KERNEL INCLUDED WITHIN THE ROM PACKAGE DOESN'T WORK. YOU WILL HAVE TO FLASH THE AOSP-FIX.ZIP
Instructions:
1. Flash the ROM zip
2. Flash AOSP-FIX.zip
I have a feeling this will result in no WiFi. If WiFi doesn't work, flash Boeffla kernel, then flash the AOSP-FIX.zip file. If you want Boeffla kernel, flash the AnyKernel package as the official package won't work!
I do not suggest you flash gapps at first boot. If it works for you, well and good (let me know lol).
Downloads:
ROM (Includes the AOSP-FIX.zip)
Boeffla Anykernel (In case you ever need it )
Bugs:
Bluetooth is messed up
CAN'T FIND RECENTS! UGH

Guys are u sure u will be able to handle all these unofficial releases u bring to us?? it seems u don't leave much space for other possible developers to bring roms haha
i would rather have one or two good stable roms (and most importantly updated regularly) then having 6-7 roms that are not regularly updated, unfixed ect
anyway props to @Gokulbalram @rap_turkez for builds roms for our s3 !! :victory:

I had kept a limit on how many ROMs I will maintain, I kept it at an initial 4, but then when I saw that it'd be possible to get AOSP, I had to break that barrier and make it 5. I'm an official maintainer for 2 ROMs, so even they are on the way!
Anyway, 'nuff said. Enjoy/

This is Pure AOSP with a little modifications. You'll have to test to know the difference!

*Testing*
What have I done:
-Wipe data/factory reset
-Wipe dalvik cache
-Format /sdcard
-Flash ROM
-Flash fix
-Flash Gapps
The ROM boots, no Gapps problem, but wifi doesn't work. During the startup configuration appeared a bluetooth crash error, just once. While in options bluetooth crashed again (not spamming the error). No recents panel.
The ROM it's very fast and reactive, good work :good:

Wow awesome job dude. Looking forward to a stable version. Thanks for making another Lollipop Rom for our S3

I can't get Wi-Fi working with using AnyKernel method. I must mention that I flashed this ROM while being on 4.1.2 firmware, it could made some issues? Flash 4.3 stock then this rom?

@War3st: you need a modem (baseband) MG4 or higher, otherwise you'll loose your IMEI. If you've an older modem, let it update by OTA or KIES - simple flash with Odin messes your IMEI up, too.

I've already had MG4 modem. Wi-Fi doesn't works anyway. I need to flash ROM > AOSP_Fix > Boeffla Kernel or ROM > Kernel > fix?

This problem only exists on OmniROM based ROMs - this one is based on CM ("May have bugs common between all devices with SlimKat and CM 11" from opening post).

We were talking about the bluetooth pairing bug - and this bug does not exist in CM. I'm using BT very often in my car, just like today, and there is no pairing problem at all. There never was.
New build is uploaded. As in PA, sound volume is raised.
Is this rom any good?? Because it seems dead with no people talking about it here xD

Yeah, It's nearly AOSP with little more options Good for ones who want a pure AOSP speedy ROM without any other useless features
You can still customize it with Xposed
its a rom for daily usage. everything works good. didnt find any bugs. But I had to fight with battery eaters (mostly Google play Services). Now its ok. Battery life 2 days with moderate usage.
I'm downloading the latest version now and I'll report if I find any problems with it. I just hope it's at least as stable as OmniRom (even though it's currently not as stable as before)

I managed to solve it before you answered but thank you anyway The only thing I had to do was ENABLE "CheckIn Service" and "EventLog service" in "Google Services Framework" using an app called "Disable Service". It was disabled by default but I guess it got stuck trying to use that services but couldn't because they were disabled so enabling them fixed the drain caused by Handoff checkin and EventLog checkin from Google play services.
BTW: This ROM looks and performs great for now, no lag or reboot for now (after installing and setting up everything and installing apps). I just hope it's gonna stay stable as I continue to use it and that I won't find any deal-braking bugs. I just wanna thank the developer and all of you that answered my questions. I'm gonna continue using this ROM and I'll report back if I find any bugs.
Is this rom still in development? I really love it and I hope it's gonna have some future updates. The only problem I have on this rom is the screen freezing when trying to play a flash video.

Yes. I actually used the VERY OLD device tree without those commits. So, would fix bluetooth in a few days in the next Beta version.
Is it good enough to be used on daily basis?

Answering your questions:
Yes, you need to change your recovery from CWM to TWRP because TWRP has SELinux support.
You would be able to call, message, use 2G/3G, listen to music(via any app) etc. WiFi, BT, and camera would be fixed as soon as the real workers- h1gh1 and Kirmaniarslan fix it.
You can try it-just a new flavour and stay tuned for it to be fixed properly.
Also, the download link works pretty well. It is a dev-host link. http://d-h.st/2Rb
Try re-opening.

Unofficial build of CyanogenMod 12.1(Android 5.1.1) for the i9300
IntroductionHello everyone I would like to share my first ROM. Because i hear that at some point all the developers will start stop supporting this phone and I decided to update the phone on myself and share the builds with the community. This is my first project of mine in order to learn how to build roms from sources and better.I never really did something like this before but i always wanted to try it. With this said i am sharing with you this ROM that i build from CyanongenMod Sources. I will be updating this rom occasionally from the sources of CyanongenMod for our phone i9300.
This ROM is going to be based based on stock CyanongenMod at initial release. So far is works great so far as a stock CyanongenMod and if there is any bugs are already known bugs from CyanongenMod if any.
Installation instructions
Clean Flash
1. do a nanoback up of your system
2. do a data factory reset of your phone
3. wipe divlk/cache/data/system
4. flash the rom
5. flash the gapps
6.wipe davlks/cache
7.reboot
Dirty Flash
1.do a nanoback up of your system
2. wipe davlks/cashe
3.install rom
4.boot

Thanks for notice it and i fixed it my ROM for initial release is just going to be stock CyanogenMod rom. I am going to just update to the latest sources. At the moment this ROM is stock CyanogenMod which means there are not going to be any mods or tweaks. My plan is to find the best tweaks and make a ROM that is smooth and works great on this phone for daily day.
Thank you for you prompt answer, i will test your rom.
Do you think that you can add this tweak without using xposed :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2101525
What will be great as well is to have boeffla sound in your rom
All the best for your incoming work!

You very welcome and ill look into it and see what i can i do not promise anything. I am still learning how to make roms and i am still new to this. My main goal is to have updated Cyanongen Mod sources for I9300 more often. Also about boeffla sound you could flash Boeffla Kernel which add boeffla sound as well but i prefer to have the stock Kernel because i find it a little bit more stable. Thanks for your wishes
So... This is just a build made by you with the same sources that JustArchi's CM?

I actually only use JustArchi local Manifest.xml nothing else...... because CyanogenMod doesnt support i9300 soooooo i had to use JustArchi localManifest. This rom is updated version of CM 12.1 for i9300.
Its not better to wait that JustArchi definetely stop the developpement for the S3 ? There is same on 2 different thread.

Better to learn when S3 Jedi masters ( like JustArchi, Arter97, dhiru1602 and few others) are still working on our device.
Our new S3 padawan dev might become a Great S3 Jedi Master dev.
We should support all the devs which are working on our old but beloved S3.
I downloaded the ROM this morning but after a full wipe (except external sd) it failed to flash in recovery (twrp 2.8.6.1). Partition problem...
I ask to save a log on sdcard from twrp but I can't find out where is it at the moment.
Hey did you try to flash it over another rom? Try to flash stock rom using Odin and try again. I didn't had any problem flashing this rom on my device.

I agree with you that right now as it is there are not many differences but I am going to add tweaks and modifications that I personality like for this phone. In order to make it work better. I will try to make a stable rom that's works for daily use.

Are kidding, slim for this thing? that is awesome. i miss slim so much. only real thing holding me back is kids mode. anything good to replace that with that anyone knows off? it is clutch with a 2 and 4 year old. Thanks for your work.
I apologize if this is a stupid question but, is there by any chance a way to port this awesome rom to the SM-T210 or T211?
I flashed and couldn't access the app drawer. Maybe a launcher isn't installed?

Hey thanks for the help and am going to try orionos here in just a min really appreciate it alot! Out of curiousity, do u know whats involved in making a rom that enables loop device capability so that linux can be installed on top of the android os? I occasionally still run negalite rom and have the app loop device checker and it says its loop device capable but havent really found any other roms that are. The app says a loop device is a psuedo device that makes a file accessible as a block device. -its unknown language to me but thought maybe u would know,
Awesome ROM, but no clear all button in recent app menu.
Please make it for T-210 too

i recommend a clean flash, but however its reported that it would do fine with dirty flash..
Procedure for dirty flash:
(1) Clear cache/Dalvik,
(2) Flash the new ROM files in the following sequence: Custom ROM > GAPPS > Custom Kernel (if any),
(3) Reboot to system.:fingers-crossed:
Update with April Security Patch is here..
