sorry my English bad. I meant that when I open the FlashTool and connect my phone with the screen turned on he recognizes that my depuration is on. Soon after I hang up the phone and open the FlashTool to flash a firmware image appears to hold the volume minus (button down) I hold and connect to connect it appears the error image attached above and does not make the flash

Try again, start flashtool without phone plugged in go into flashmode and select the FW, wait for it to say connect your phone. With your phone powered off hold the down Vol button. then plug in the USB.
Have you changed the MTP in => Settings - Xperia connectivity - USB connectivity - USB connection mode - MTP or MSC ( I think I was in MTP mode when I rooted my phone)

You are sure you have Sony PC companion installed on your Win 7 pc? (for S1 service drivers)
You have run the C:\Flashtool\drivers\Flashtool-Drivers.exe and installed drivers for Flashtool and Z3 compact?

have you pressed the Button "Volum -" When Plugin the cable ?
I have rooted my Z3C successfully. Then I have done the update for the Xperia. Since then the phone has died. It doesn't respond to anything.
I have downloaded flash tool version 9.18.6. When I connect the phone it says "debugging mode is off".
I have tried holding the volume DOWN button while I connect the USB cable, nothing happened.
I have tried holding the volume UP button while I connect the USB cable, nothing happened.

I have installed the drivers that come with flashtool.
Flashmode driver
Fastboot driver
Xperia Z3 Device Driver
Xperia Z3 Compact Device Driver
Xperia Z3 Tablet Device Driver
I also tried Window 7. I got the same error. I tried the Flashtool on Mac. I got an error says "Flashtool quit unexpectedly".
Any thought?
Connect the phone when flashtool prompts you too. Initially just select the firmware. When the prompt comes up, connect your phone then

I connect the phone when the Flashtool ask me to connect it. Is that what you mean?
Also, does it matter if I do not have the SIM OR SD card inserted in the phone?

So i have an Xperia X8 as i mention.
I have rooted it via OneClick and FlashTool (not in the same time!). That works perfect.
Then i install Xrecovery. That also works fine. I have a backup for any case.
When it comes to Flash a custom ROM or Kernel i have troubles.

First check if your USB cable is working properly and isn't connected to a USB Hub or using an extension cable. (It is well known that some USB cables can cause troubles). You can also try connecting the phone to another port, maybe in the rear or front of the PC or use another cable
If not... can you can try this?:
Did you check if there was another software causing you this trouble? (probably an antivirus or PC Companion)
Have you checked trying to do the same on another PC?
Try to use drivers from an older version of Flashtool, probably Flashtool 0.6.6.0 crying: sorry, I still cannot post links, as I'm a new member, but you can google), the important thing is to try to look for a Flashtool version older than 0.8.0.0 but newer than 0.6.0.0
I'm trying to install a custom rom to a x8 e15i, unable to load busybox, oneclick, One installation of busybox said it wasn't rooted, another said it was, root checker says it's not rooted, I rooted it with kingo. Is it worth carrying on or are all the softwares out of date for this phone and I'm stuck with the 3 splashes?
IS your bootloader unlocked?
bricked!
sorry for the long wait. i manage to hard-brick the phone in the end. case closed. thanks for the help anyway

When I rebooted, the screen remained black/blank/not powered. The power button is responsive: if I long press power/volume up, it buzzes three times and I guess I'm in flashmode? But again, the screen doesn't turn on. Just pressing the power button does not always get a buzz. Its hard to tell if its on or off without a screen.
When I try to connect via flashtool, I get this:

As the debugging is turned off, adb does not work, and so I can't run the gieroot program. As the screen is inoperable, I can't set usb debugging off again.
Does anybody have any thoughts or guidance? Where do I go from here?

The three times buzzing thing actually means you have force turned off the phone.
Try flashing a MM ROM to the device, normally try to boot into flashmode by holding the volume down while plugging jt in etc.
If that doesn't work I think it is hard-bricked but I am not much of a pro so maybe someone in the forums will help you if this doesn't work.
After changing the display of my Z3c (not rooted, not unlocked, original firmware, passcode locked and encoded with android encoding function) it doesnt start anymore (also no vibrations when trying to turn on). The display is working (you can see the animated charging icon when plugged to a usb port or the magnetic dock).
I have been gone through the usual suspects and workarounds (yellow button next to Sim tray, Power + Volume up, Power + Volume down, Volume down + USB plugging, and so on) but it doesnt vibrate und it doesnt start either.
Connected to the PC with flashtool running (sony mobile flasher by androxyde 0.9.23.1) it shows
