[Q] Xperia Z3 Compact Stuck in Boot Loop - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I niavely followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...58xx-cwm-based-recovery-6-0-4-7-root-t2890231
And now my device is stuck in a boot loop.
How do I fix this? All I can do at the moment is get the device into fastboot mode. I can't seem to find any files from here or FXPBlog that would help as they all need adb.
I've also heard that the Sony devices don't have a recovery, so flashing stuff is difficult.
Help please!
edit:
I've fixed the problem:
- download flashtool from flashtool.net (I stumbled on this tool by browsing forums)
- follow (poorly worded, but incredibly helpful) instructions on xperiafirmware.com [http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/65-sony-xperia-z3-compact-d5803] (I stumbled on this site from google searches)

Device(Xperia Z3 Compact) won't go into fastboot mode or flash mode

HI guys,
I was following DoomLoRD's spot and somewhere in between, I screwed up.
A few hours ago, the device still loads into fastboot mode and flash mode, then now it won't.
After pressing Volume Up/Down button, then plugging in the USB cable (connected to the PC), the LED turns red, then pink (violet?), then to orange/green.
On a related note, before it happened, I was trying to restore the bootloader and but failed miserably. Here was my original problem before the fastboot mode and flash mode incident. posted on stackoverflow. I've searched the Sony developers website and it mentioned there to post to stackoverflow for questions.
I'd really appreciate all the help even with just a few helpful links.
Honestly, I would not have even tried this for DoomLord clearly wrote that this is for the Z3 only: " [D66XX] CWM-Based Recovery 6.0.4.7 + ROOT for Xperia Z3"...
You might have an expensive paperweight now

[Q] Sony xperia bootlooped

I unfortinately formated system in clockworkmod touch recovery. Afterwards phone gets stuck at sony logo when i power on the phone. Am able to boot into fastboot and flashmode using key combinations but cant enter into the clockworkmod with key combinations as i used to do before the system format. However, i unlocked my bootloader and rooted the device before i had this problem. As a result, am not able to get sony pc companion to repair my phone. I tried flashtool but then upon flashing, it asks me to enable usb debug mode and am not able to enable debud mode since the phone doesnt boot past the sony logo.
I will appreaciate it greatly if anyobe can help me get my cute phone out of this situation

You can try with Emma, it works only with unlocked bl. You can find it somewhere on Sony web page (google it).

If you can get in fastboot mode you can allways relock your BL and repair it via PC Companion.

Sony Xperia SP only boots to flashboot

My Sony Xperia SP only boots to flashboot, I have pressed the reset button on the back and it does nothing, I am guessing this it from a failed flash on the stock rom as I bought it off of eBay thinking it would be an easy fix. Does anyone have an idea on how I could fix this issue?
Hi,
Thanks For using XDA Assist
Please wait for the Moderation Team to move this thread to the Xperia SP Q/A section for better support.

What do you mean saying flashboot? There is no such thing.
Options:
- flash mode (green led) - in this case flash ftf via flashtool or via PC Companion/SUS (dont work with unlocked bootloader)
- fastboot (blue led) - in this case flash stock kernel via flashboot, than you should be able to run flashmode and flash any ftf through flashtool - or... flash kernel with recovery and flash any custom rom from update.zip
- flash device - your device is recognized as Semc Flash Device (zeus flash device, etc....) install flashtool and than drivers (flash mode, fastboot drivers, SP's drivers, adb drivers).
Whats the colour of LED???

Asus memopad 7 ME572C bricked

Hi !
I have have a problem, my tablet is bricked and blocked on asus logo. I just can go to recovery and turn off the device. I tried to flash firmware but doesn't work
Help me please !
me too
I've just bricked my other 572c - Currently looking into how to get this working again
If you can get to recovery, and your pc can see the tablet in bootloader or recovery then you're on the right path - need to do some digging and reading in the other thread - learning to use the prompt commands will probably be your best bet.
In my case its:
Turn tablet on - won't go into recovery - only intel inside image on the screen - and sooner or later it cuts itself off
Thus far - what I've come up with is the device is still seen as a Moorefield device - So I downloaded the Intel Phone Flash Tool to flash a stock image...expect I don't have one to flash to.
The zip firmwares on the asus website apparently don't work for flashing so - my next idea is to find the flash image for the 572c or try to learn to build an image to flash.....that last part I really have no concept of so I've been looking around....
Can anyone provide some insight? I can save this tablet if I can get a flashable image, I believe.
I have the same issue, but with a black screen. The ME572C still shows as an Moorefield device, but is not seen by fastboot or adb. Anyone been able to flash a stock image again on the tablet?
I've solved it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64526618&postcount=865
This might work for you as well. Not sure though if it will work with the update from Asus.
Have you tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/memo-pad-7/help/memopad-7-me572-recovery-lollipop-t3288702

I appear to be stuck, help me return to stock, please!

Hello XDA,
(TLDR - I've mucked things up and would like some help returning to stock, please! I can't enter download mode and am unsure how to work around this. I have access to TWRP and the phone shows up under adb devices. Phone does not show up under fastboot devices.)
Long version:
So I'm new to all of this and was trying to flash Cyanogenmod to my g2. I was following the instructions found on the cyanogen wiki (can't post links). I got to the bit where I was trying to sideload/push and install cyanogen when TWRP started to give me errors (error executing updater binary in zip cm 11, or something like that).
I did a bunch of googling, and after about an hour of not being able to find a solution, I decided to just return to stock for now. That proved problematic as well, unfortunately. I was following a guide found on droidviews (how to return lg g2 to stock firmware. can't post the link.) using the kdz method. I reached step 17 before I encountered a problem. When I enter download mode, I end up stuck on an updating firmware screen. I am unable to get past this and actually enter download mode. I'm unsure how to proceed at this point.
I have access to TWRP. The phone shows up under adb devices. The phone does NOT show up under fastboot devices. I can boot into download mode but not actually get past that updating firmware screen. I'm hoping there is an easy fix and I'm just being a bit of a derp, but I've been looking around for a while and am not sure how to proceed. Please advise!
Finally got everything to work by flashing a lollipop based rom. Just that i lost my contacts and sms.
