Well do not think that this thread is one among others. It's my experience when i messed up with my Razri. I wish I had this before, so I'm sharing it with you !
Every has his experience and a way to do it, so this is mine
First I searched everywhere, as you already did, the technique is globally the same but one important thing was missing and I had to get my Razri ON, it's an "Intel" !
I tried this app to install the needed drivers and to flash firmware, and I tried also this
Just let me explain what i had before the "softbrick" just to assure you that your Razri is not dead and it's up to you to bring it up from the dead and you can do that
I softbricked it by rooting my JB android with ICS, I messed up, in you case might be different but you are here cause we all had the same problem
Well, if your Razri Motorola XT890 cannot boot (or keeps rebooting with no end), charging the battery is [im]possible. Below is a quick how-to
RSD Lite detects the Razri as a "MEDFIELD" device. You can use RSD Lite to flash your phone whith a new Android Image [JB here, for "JB 4.1.2" I choose "CFC_9.8.2I-50_SMI-26_S7_USASMIJBRTEU.xml.zip"] but this is doable only after getting to the fastboot menu
1. Install EXE drivers for the "MEDFIELD" device
2. Run BAT file and follow the instructions inside
3. You might restart you Razri
You need to use the wright ifwi & dnx file, so I included those for JB (and not for ICS and if you did you will get "Service code corrupt" error but don't worry you have just to get the good version of ifwi&dnx for your android version)
Just to say, for everyone who has this trouble, and thinks that his Razri is dead, good new It is not, but remember that to make this work that fastboot menu is in there, somewhere just use the right combination, no matter what you have on the screen (Bootloader Unlocked screen or nothing at all just a black screen)
This is a little How-To:
Power botton+Volume Down botton at the same time
Wait until the screen flashes or the green led light to flash the immediately release the Power button while keeping the Volume down pushed (do not release ever) until the fastboot menu appears
Good Luck

Hi
do you have any solution for "service required code corrupt" plz
thanx
If you've tried to root your JB Motorola RAZR I with the ICS root-method don't worry. The ICS-root-method flash a unsave boot image, which is for the ICS firmware. That's why the RAZR with JB have problems to boot.
To make everything working again, you need:
- RAZR I PC driver
- fastboot (PC program)
- the right boot image for your JB version. (e.g. retail.EU) (download the right version from firmware-thread and search for a file "boot.img" )
If you have everything prepared do the following things:
- start your RAZR I (make sure, that it doesn't boot into bootloop)
- connect your RAZR I to your PC
- on PC start a command line/terminal and (for windows users) navigate in the directory with the fastboot.exe and make sure that the boot.img file is in the same directory
(Linux users navigate into the directory with the boot.img)
- type: fastboot flash boot boot.img
- wait until it's done
- reboot the device by typing: fastboot reboot
And that's it. Your personal data won't be touched, everything is like it was before.

It's probably beacause tou updated your Formware with the wrong version, try this out:
You need to use the wright ifwi & dnx file, so I included those for JB (and not for ICS and if you did you will get "Service code corrupt" error but don't worry you have just to get the good version of ifwi&dnx for your android version) ==> You can get it from de XML file form sbf.droid-developers.org/smi/list.php it depends in which android version you were befor, in my case i took "CFC_9.8.2I-50_SMI-26_S7_USASMIJBRTEU.xml.zip"
So you have to Unzip it and there you'll find the ifwi & dnx files
Nice

Hey all, thanks for reading. I've caught myself in a predicament. I can solve most issues that crop up my way, but right now I'm a bit stuck. It is likely fairly simple and I am just dumb...
The huge issue here is that I am running stock lollipop for the D415 model. I am having the typical base-band and WiFi issue that a lot were having. Like most, I just booted up into TWRP and restored a backup. I Wanted to try again so I flashed the stock ROM and tried again; didn't work...oopss..
LG Flash Tool refuses to locate my device. Download mode fails to connect my device properly. Error is:
EP1/out FAIL nfo=40 pg0=ffbd880
usb_read() transaction failed
So now I am stuck with a broken stock ROM, no TWRP, and no current way to re-flash a stock ROM.
Steps taken so far:
1. Reinstall all drivers
2. Attempt to root and install TWRP to access my backups (No access to Download mode)
3. Started all over with original USB.
What can I do? Thank you again for reading my long post.
Came back to it after a few weeks and issue has been resolved. Despite error warnings fastboot operated correctly, only manually. Any script etc. that booted device into fastboot would never find the device. Simple as flashing recovery and restoring a backup.
tl;dr: I'm not very bright.

Hi Guys
A friend has given me a table he "bricked" a few months ago. Its a fire 7. I got it to run an old Lineage ROM back in 2017. I think it was on 5.1.1 when I got it.
He tried to flash a different ROM using flashfire and it failed, he says it gave an error about storage space - I am assuming he didn't wipe first.
Now the tablet wont boot. It powers on, shows the amazon splash then reboots, over & over.
I can get to the Amazon recovery holding the vol down button and from there into fastboot - can I recover this unit? I'm wondering if I can use adb to go from fastboot to TWRP then flash a new ROM and it will boot again?
I know a bit but not much about adb etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
EDIT: While messing about I have tried the info in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/orig-development/twrp-recovery-t3242548
I can push the TWRP to the device with fastboot but it fails to boot it with error: (remote: unknown command)
I assume this means its on the locked 5.1.X bootloader and not 5.0.X
Any other options to flash a new bootable ROM to it from the Amazon recovery/fastboot?
Thanks.

You'll need to reload FireOS and start over as if it were a new device. If you're certain of the bootloader build reinstall FireOS 5.3.1 to avoid a potential hard brick. You'll then need to root with KingRoot, migrate to SuperSU, find a working build of FlashFire and hope the same thing doesn't happen again. All while making sure the device doesn't take an OTA update from Amazon. In short, a royal PiTA.
Note: there is an evolving hardware hack that may prove easier once it is a bit more mature. Involves cracking open the case (very easy) and shunting a point on the mainboard to ground. At present the exploit needs to run from a Linux based host but I suspect a Windows varient will soon be available. You'll find several threads discussing current progress.
The easiest way to fix this now is to follow the instructions in this thread here. This is the second method mentioned in the above post. This will reinstall the bootloader files and give you a 5.01 bootloader, defeating anti-rollback protection in the process. Afterwards you can load TWRP from fastboot.
As you probably have a 5.1.1 preloader now you should not need to open the case to enter download mode, holding down the left volume button when plugging in the USB cable should be enough.

Thank you for this - I read the hardware hack but also the option to reload fire OS & considered this to be the best option but like a ****, I flashed the tablet with Fire 5.1.2 - I now have an unbootable device. Black screen.
Anything I can do from this point?

Your device is recoverable - and you may not even have to crack the case. This is the thread you'll want to follow. Still no Windows support but the process as fairly easy once you get past the prerequisites.

The hack I was talking about has evolved a bit now: see here. This will reset anti-rollback protection so should unbrick the tablet. You won't even have to open the case: start with the tablet off and hold down the left volume button and plug in the USB cable as described in the post. You will end up with TWRP installed on the device and fully unlocked fastboot.

Nice, I will give that a try now.

Hi everyone,
I have retrieved a Samsung Tab 3.7.0 SM-T210. The OS was the old KitKat 4.4.2, very slow and buggy. I tried to flash a new recovery and OS and spent the 3 last days getting fails. I think I have read the all internet about this situation and would like to make a last try with your help.
When I got the tablet, I was surprised that in download mode it was indicated custom and custom binary and not official as it has not, I think, been flashed in the past by the people owning it. With HW rev 0x5 at the end.
The first thing I wanted to do was to unlock the bootloader, however, I could not find any option in developer mode talking about OEM bootloader, neither Auto Update. After reading some people on forumes saying that this device might not have a locked bootloader, I finally thought that this tablet did not have its bootloader locked. Then I decided to go further with the flash of a TWRP recovery.
At the beginning the stock recovery was working. I am under archlinux, I have fastboot and heimdall. To do it as right as possible I installed a VM with Windows 10 and tried to flash a custom TWRP corresponding to the tablet with Odin. But the process got stuck at the SetupConnection step. I installed Windows 7 too, tried 5 different Windows OS, tried 4 different USB cables, reinstalled the USB drivers, tried 5 different Odin versions, tried different archives, just recoveries and all stock system. Still getting stuck at the SetupConnection.
I finally decided to try heimdall thinking that the VM could be the problem. With heimdall I run flash commands such as heimdall flash --RECOVERY twrp-3.2.3-0-lt02ltespr.img --no-reboot and got it doing something, the shell was saying it's 100% done and the tablet, in download mode, was showing a complete blue bar. Then, the recovery was just broken. Could not access it anymore, the Samsung Tab3 logo showing up and staying when trying to access it. I tried to flash some others archives, I opened it off and remove the battery for 5 minutes, still the same thing.
The operating system was still accessible and buggy, applications saying connection issues, etc. I did a factory reset from the running KitKat android OS and now have the Samsung Tab3 logo showing up and staying when trying to access it.
Now, I can only access the download mode and that's all. I have the impression that I am not the first one having these kind of trouble with this tablet. Is it a hardware issue on all these tablets ? Should I try something more advanced with heimdall, dd ?
Does someone have a solution in this situation ?
Thanks for your time and help.
I finally used heimdall and was able to flash all the partitions with the stock images. Now I am back in stock version. I would like to flash a TWRP recovery.
Can someone tell me if I have to unlock the bootloader with this device ? If it is, how can unlock it ? I can not find anything in the settings developer section, and can not use a call number input in order to enter a system code as it's a tablet. Do I have to wipe something from the stock recovery in order to see it ?
Thanks for your time.
Hi -yo-.
You don't need to do OEM unlock as this device is so old.
Also twrp-3.2.3-0-lt02ltespr.img is NOT for this device.
For recovery look from here and for ROM here.
Thanks jonezy82 for the answer. Indeed, I figured all of that out.
I decided to get it back stock and not trying to flash anything custom.
Thanks for your time.
After trying to flash TWRP (by following this guide: https://www.thecustomdroid.com/root-oneplus-6t-guide/ ) my device would no longer boot to the OS,but (stock) recovery and fastboot modes worked, so I tried to fix it by flashing some Android 9 roms from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...t-stock-fastboot-roms-for-oneplus-6t.3862516/ , and flashing a stock Android 10 boot.img (for some reason).
But my attemps at fixing it by flashing only made things worse, my current situation is as follows:
Device: Oneplus 6T (6/128)
Version (either Global or T-Mobile): Unsure
OxygenOS Version: Unsure, only know that it is Android 9
Bootloader: Unlocked
- Neither Recovery mode nor TWRP work
- Bootloader and Baseband versions show as empty
- I can only access Fastboot mode and EDL mode
- A power outage left my main pc (which had the drivers, permissions and backup i had been using, and need, to do this) a burning mess
- I´m currently using an old desktop computer i had stored (which has Windows 7), but it fails to recognize my device.
- I have installed and tried multiple versions of the Qualcomm, Oneplus, Adb and Android drivers, but it never recognizes it
- Windows doesnt allow me to manually select the drivers for the Unknown device as ¨the specified folder doesnt contain a software driver compatible with this device¨
- By searching the system and internet it always says that ¨the best software driver for this device is already installed¨
- Both of the above were tried with a disabled driver signature requirement
- When using it on the other PC, the msm download tool, it always said that the image didnt match the device, no matter which of the 13 versions I tried
- On my current PC, the msm download tool doesnt detect my device
I implore anyone that can provide any help or advise to do so, as I´ve already spent an entire week scouring the Internet (including the Oneplus and XDA forums) for any solution, but so far, nothing has worked. Have a good day and thank you for reading my post.
Hey man.
I'm a dude with no OnePlus 6T but have a OnePlus Nord N10. But I do know the really bad punch-in-the-gut feeling of not having a device work at all.
What does "fastboot reboot bootloader" show?? (Does your phone reboot to the bootloader upon that command being ran?)
Also did you try to flash the stock Android 9 boot.img that your device was updated to?
As for the MSM download tool, the last replies I've seen show that some people trying that on Win11 recently have got it working.
Also check if these work? https://www.thecustomdroid.com/oneplus-6-6t-unbrick-guide/
How to Unbrick Your OnePlus 6T When All Else Fails
When flashing files through TWRP, ADB, or Fastboot, there's a slight chance for things to go wrong. Whether it's user error related or something else entirely, it's always good to have a backup plan. In most cases, you'll be dealing with a semi-brick or soft-brick, which can usually be solved by...

Sorry if it sounds stupid but I want to try to help.
I really hope your phone gets fixed, man. Good luck!
